Pad Thai and mac n cheese and cake no flavor

I have been going to Nothing but Noodles since they opened up in El Paso. I think for a «fast food» sit down restaurant, they hit the nail on the head. I’ve never been disappointed when I have come here. I haven’t encountered some of the problems that other Unilocalers have, so my perspective may be skewed.
I love their Santa Fe and Southwest Chipotle. Also, their macaroni and cheese is to die for.
Simple place for dinner or lunch, the portions are generous, and the food is fresh. I’ll keep coming back.

Bought this on Groupon and wasn’t terrible, but nothing special! Alittle dry and not much kick for an entrée that had been designated as «spicy». Great concept… just average food.

I’m becoming more of a fan of this place the more I go. The Pad Thai is indeed terrible, and I’m guessing the Asian dishes are okay at best. The eggplant is okay, but nothing you’d remember. The spinach walnut salad leaves much to be desired. However, I have found some of their secret treasures… the Southwest Chipotle noodles with Chicken is quite delicious, and a bit spicy. Goes perfect with a white wine on the sweet side like a Riesling or Moscato. Also the Cucumber Chicken salad is quite good as well, the cucumbers are slightly braised and coated in like a sweet vinegar. But the dish that gets the prize from me is the Capanelli Primavera… it’s angel hair noodles in a garlic type sauce (thin soup-​like sauce, not thick) tossed with broccoli, yellow squash, carrots, and zucchini, topped with parmesan… and red pepper flakes on request… I’m no vegetarian, but it is probably the best noodle dish outside of a fancy restaurant I’ve ever had! I’m really finding it hard to stay away from this place since finding this dish… fyi, I tend to dislike everything at Olive Garden, their food tastes like microwaved Lean Cuisines to me.
Update: Yes the Asian dishes are indeed terrible, so stay away from that part of the menu.

Pluses are the relatively clean interior. But charging about 10 bucks for a small bowl of pretty mediocre noodles is. Bit overkill especially for being located in EP. I welcome that they are trying to bring the smallest bit of diversity to el paso, but I’d recommend either lowering the prices or improving the quality of the food. 3 stars for effort.

My entire meal of a salad and the Shanghai noodle wound up costing me $ 15, which is a little high for the amount of food I got. But I went there for dinner, and I wanted a big dinner. Most people will spend about $ 8 for for a lunch-​sized portion. The food itself was good. I particularly loved the flax cranberry spinach salad — it was delicious. The Shanghai noodle was fairly generic, and similar to what I’ve had at many restaurants, but so what? It tasted great too. I’d advise against paying an extra $ 2 for meat, since they only give you a little bit.

The menu is extensive and varied and maybe that is the problem. They don’t seem to really nail anything we have had. It’s not bad, it’s just not anything that makes me want to go back. At least they have Sriracha to spice any dish up. Service has always been OK and everyone seems to be friendly enough. If I had to rate the food on it’s own, I would give it a solid 2 star.

One of the reasons I love Pad Thai so much, aside from the fact that in Thailand they just call it Pad, is that it is very hard to screw up. Even bad Pad Thai is good Pad Thai!
Which is why I was so disappointed by Nothing But Noodles, this place has bad Pad Thai, which I will still eat, but C’MON! This place offers the Pad Thai you’d expect from a crappy Chinese restaurant that offers all sorts of Asian dishes that aren’t even Chinese. And that just doesn’t cut it for an establishment whose core competency is the noodle.
Better alternatives: Tara Thai on Mesa or don’t order the Pad Thai.

I’ve been here before but didn’t Unilocal on it but figured it was worth it this time. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and accommodating, plus the military discount is nice. My wife said she wishes there was a little more to the Kung Pao chicken, but my Thai peanut was fantastic, will come again

This was my first time eating here because a friend recommended it to me. I actually really enjoyed the food, for the most part. My favorite part of the entire meal, besides the VERY friendly staff, was the dipping sauce for the potstickers. The staff even told me how they made it so that I could make it at home, which won a ton of points in my book! I ordered the Capellini Primavera, which was good except for the sauce. That’s why my rating isn’t higher. However, I poured the remaining sauce from the potstickers onto the pasta, and it was fabulous! Even their desserts were good… I had the cheesecake and my friend could not stop eating her canoli. I enjoyed this, and it wasn’t a terrible price for a ton of food!

First of all they are not «Nothing But Noodles».
They are «Noodles With Stuff On Them And Some Other Things Too.» Let’s be honest with naming ourselves why don’t we?
The service was very good, the food was not bad but not good. Just the kind of food you might expect from yet another upscale fast food sort of place.
I had bread sticks (1 star) with marinara (1 star) and thai lettuce wraps (2.5 star do it yourself affair).
The friendly staff pulled it above a straight 2 star experience. 2.85 stars.

Took the family and had a great experience. The food was great and they had something for everyone in the family. Oh by the way the service was awesome.

Good for kids. Good price. The wait staff always bends over backwards for us. I like the mac n’ cheese with «double» broccoli.

Ummmm, no. No, no, no. I loathe this place. Everytime I’ve gone in, there are like 20 teenagers behind the counter all cutting up, and it totally explains why my food always comes out blah. Everything I’ve gotten there has been bland at best. The wait is always overly long too, considering there’s half of the local high school’s sophomore class working the shift. Save your time and go to a Chinese, Italian, or Thai restaurant if you’re jonesing for some noodiddles.

The first time we went here was such a nice surprise. Having two young children, I’m always looking for places we could eat that don’t have a jungle gym or animated figures and that the kids will actually like. Well, this is quickly becomming THE place to go eat. The kids love the buttery noodles and we adults are partial to the pad thai noodles and the salads. It is a casual dining place with very affordable prices. I’d highly recommend it!
