Great little hole in the wall with great smoked meats. Daily lunch specials at fair prices. Close to the courthouse and Wells Fargo tower. Worth trying. Just look for the scripture on the walls, and windows, etc. Apparently Jesus knowns his way around a BBQ pit

Dropped by this spot for a quick lunch between classes and man was I satisfied. The place is a hole in the wall and you could almost miss it if you’re not paying attention. Walking in reminds me of a restaurant in downtown Chicago because it’s a long dinning area, nothing fancy, and a palate pleasing menu board. Basically you want to get the Big Tommy if you go because it is aimed to please! It’s basically a ton of brisket, which they make there and slice it in front of you. They then throw on a spicy, but not hot, sausage link, sliced longitudinally, on top of it all. Then the fixin’s are up to you. BBQ sauce(yum), mustard, pickles, onions, chile sauce, and more BBQ sauce. I had just the sandwich and it filled me up! Don’t expect much from the atmosphere or expect to be wowed by the appearance, but once you take a bite of your sandwich, you’ll realize that where they lack aesthetic appeal they more than make up for it in flavor and size!

Arrived to Texas just in time for lunch and found the best little hole in the wall in downtown El Paso — thanks to Unilocal’ reviews! Tommy’s has the best brisket sandwiches! The place is not very noticeable from the outside, but once you’re inside you can never forget it! My family and I were so pleased with the service and the food. And, the employees were wonderful! Oh, can’t forget to mention the awesome potato salad! Lunch was perfect for a bunch of hungry Floridians!

Just took down a «Big Tommy» and it was amazing. A sandwich piled with tender brisket and chorizo links. Then on top they like onions, pickles, mustard and BBQ sauce. I was a little skeptical walking in because its a hole in the wall place in the middle of downtown but I will for sure be coming back.

Best brisket and hot links in El Paso. Old School, power lunch. Locals only though!

With a name like Tommy’s and the atmosphere of a local hole in the wall, I was really hoping it would be better. I stopped in for lunch and had the Big Tommy’s sandwich which is brisket and hot links on a hamburger bun with bbq sauce. You can add onions, pickles, jalapenos, etc if you want. Service was friendly and super fast at the counter. The sandwich was pretty good but it was nothing special. The potatoe salad was a dud however. It didn’t have any flavor. I’ll probably go again since it is so close to my office and it was quick. Next time I’ll just get chips though.

The brisket and hot link combo was delicious and the breakfast burritos were also great.

There’s not much to eat right next to the courthouse, but if you’re there, you HAVE to have a Big Tommy’s at Tommy’s. It’s a handful of briskey topped wish a sliced chorizo on two huge slices of bread, covered in BBQ sauce and if you want, green chili sauce. I must have eaten it 4⁄5 days that I was there, and ended up going in for their breakfast burritos which were a steal at $ 3. Not healthy in the least, but delicious! One more thing, their Horchata es muy delicioso!
