I was weary when I walked in because of the less than stellar reviews I’d read about this store.
I was immediately taken in charge by Chris, who served me and an other customer with nothing less than excellence, kindness and was full of great advice and a brilliant sense of humor. To top it off he gave me a great deal. I could not have walked out happier.
I will be returning soon!

I give it 3 stars due to what was going on in the store while George was helping us.
Great selection. George was awesome, and has great style.
As for the store– 2 other employees were working and fighting with each other. Then one of the employees was making sarcastic remarks. Not sure if he was talking to me, my husband, or his coworkers. Does he have turrets? We don’t know. Lots of tension and extremely uncomfortable.
Not sure we would go back. Super weird and unprofessional.

The entire staff is here is very welcoming, professional, and helpful. We used them to rent our suits for our wedding and they provided such outstanding support and help. Thank you.

I’ve had great experiences at other Jos. A. Bank locations, but this one is not up to their level, customer service-​wise. The staff seems like they’re not happy to be there in the slightest and seem mad at you for even coming in. Very unfriendly, very inflexible, and bordering on rude staff at this location. Try the locations in Torrance or Century City if you can (or Los Gatos if you find yourself in Northern California).

Today, I went into the Jos A Bank store in El Segundo to return a suit that I purchased on-​line. I have a wardrobe of clothes from the Jos A Bank.
I interacted with George the sales associate at the store. I explained to George that I was returning a suit that I purchased on-​line. George explained to me that they were not able to accept returns from purchases made on-​line. I then showed George the packing slip from my purchase that stated that on-​line purchases could be returned to the store with the packing slip. George then stated he could not accept a return without a manager present. He said the manager had stepped out and would return later. I told George that I purchased and return items at the store previously.
I walked out of the store to my vehicle and called the Jos A Bank 800 number. I spoke with Gabriella in customer service. I explained my concerned to her and she assured that the policy is that I can return items to any store. She then told me that she would call the store directly and speak with the sales associate. Gabriella then placed me on hold while she made the call.
I then walked back into the store. Gabriella with Jos A Bank customer service called the store and spoke with George. George then said to Gabriella, let me check on something. He then placed the phone down. Gabriella came back on the line with me and stated «that was rude», he just hung up on me. Not sure if George meant to hang up on Gabriella, but he never made an attempt to pick up the phone again while I was in the store. George then returned from the back and said he had obtained his manager’s code so he could accept the return. George then processed my return and I received credit back on my card. George then stated that his manager was currently in line at the bank and that was the reason he was not in the store.
I then left the store. I thanked Gabriella for her assistance. She stated that she will follow-​up with the store on the interaction with George.
I was not pleased with my experience and the poor service received at Jos A Bank in El Segundo, CA.

Seriously very inconsiderate, rude, crappy service, and not reliable.
1) Doesnt fit the way i want it as i described to in the first place. Big fat dude just chalked it up and was my mistake to trust that he knew what he was doing. Come back to pick up suit and doesnt fit the way i wanted and the employees say that well in order to do what i want we have to charge you in order to do what you want. I described it first time and should get it tailored to the way i want. Why pay for their mistakes.
2) Shady scheduling, do anything to keep you thinking they can perform and get the job done. I went in 7÷16÷2015 to buy the suit. They said that they can get it to me the ⁸⁄₇ and i told them i have a wedding to go to the next day ⁸⁄₈. Asked if i can get it earlier and said no but if anything earliest was ⁸⁄₆. Assumed that if i give them a day it can work but as the week progressed i couldnt trust it. I called to pick up my suit and take it else where, once i said that they said they can finish Monday ⁸⁄₃. When i picked it up and didn’t like it they said they can fix it by thurs. THEY WILL SAY ANYTHING TO KEEP YOU THERE. DONT TRUST THEM.
3) Bad service when they found that i didnt like it and tried to charge me every little thing and kept passing me along to other employees to help me.
4) Go to 3 day suit broker or some where in LA instead of this place.

I have never had any problems with salespeople or product integrity. Everyone seems open to help and check on you over time. I shop here at least twice a year and never had any complaints or concerns, I have shopped for my father and myself as well.

Disappointed!
Made an appointment on a Monday in the afternoon to discuss tuxedos for our upcoming wedding. We were the only people there. Store was empty. Took about 5 minutes for someone to come out and greet us. We were approached by a slender older gentlemen who told us that the woman with whom we had the appointment was running late and she’d arrive in about 5 minutes.
We looked around for about 15 minutes when finally a much larger older gentleman came out from the back asking if we’d been helped. He didn’t actually walk over to come to greet us. Mind you, he did so while seated at his desk near the rear of the store the whole time. Made us come to him and was rude and condescending to us and the slender older gentleman. Worst bit was when he asked if we were here to look at tuxedos and then asked that I bring him a sample tuxedo book over to him, as he breathed heavily, unable to do so himself apparently. We told him we were no longer interested and left. Worst tuxedo place I’ve ever been too.

Don’t rent a tux from this place… they suck!!! everything they do from measurements to customer service everyone at jos a bank el segundo is not up to par

I had an interview in L.A. and totally forgot my suit in Sacramento in my hotel. I rolled into here to pick out a suit. I needed one bad and it was crunch time! I found the perfect suit. The staff went above and beyond and even gave me the name and number of a tailor to get the suit right for my interview. The customer service was outstanding! The price of the suit and shirt was outstanding also. I will definitely come back here again if I need some additional dress gear.

Great location. Good selection. Bad customer service. Not very helpful. Would go back to Jos A Bank, just a different location.

Good suits, good deals, rude service. Saleswoman did not want to help. Bf is a groomsman and was told to come in and get measured, and to tell let the staff know to forward the measurements on to another JosABank store (that had the wedding order). We told saleslady this and her first reply was «No we don’t do that». «call your friend and tell him to give you the right information» … she was just as unhelpful for the next 15 minutes. Sure, the groom could have given more info on which exact suit number it was, but boys are boys and sometimes they aren’t the best planners. Lady didn’t have to cross her arms and make us feel stupid for it.

My Husband was looking for an interview suit so we stopped by Jos. A. Banks last weekend to check out their selection. My hubby doesn’t have a lot of suits so he had a lot of questions about what styles/​colors would be best for an interview. The store was quiet on a Saturday and he had the salesman’s full attention. He was very patient and answered all of my husband’s questions, explained all the different cuts of shirts and suits as well as the current promotions. He ended up going back a few days later and purchasing a suit. Great experience at Jos. A. Banks!

Disappointed with the service here. Love the clothes. Salesperson did not want to open shirts for a try on claiming other buyers would reject the refolded item?! She only agreed to open one if we thought we would end up purchasing. Told us no sales on ties this day, but pointed out one that was $ 25 yesterday (no we could not get that price… Would have to pay $ 89 or $ 135, i dont recall). Then why tell us? I could go on, but these were the main issues that left a bad taste in my mouth.
The manager nicely agreed to let us have the tie at sale price (we were spending over $ 400 on suit and shirts). He gets an extra star!
I have been treated much better at other Jos A Bank stores and plan to spend the money on gas to go to one of those locations next time.

I purchased four suits from here and have nothing but great things to say about the place. The staff was friendly and helpful. Ordered three suits off the website that I liked and weren’t in my size at the store. I was fitted for all 3 suits and they came out better than I expected. Ask for Ron. He’s the man and super helpful with everything. Honest and great at what he does. Also, try to catch one of their deals… you’ll save a ton of money!

Yesterday, after having a really bad experience at the Men’s Wearhouse in the Marina, I drove down to Jos A Bank. WHAT A 180 degree difference in TOTAL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Chris Gomez and Rob (I believe the manager) took great care of me. I was impressed by the time Chris took with me, explained everything and made wonderful suggestions. With my body type and size, he suggested I do a suit separate. He told me it would be more expensive but it will look a lot better in the long run. He was RIGHT!
Jos A Bank customer service didnt stop there in the store, but with address verification. They called me the next day to verify my address. Josh knows I need the suit for an upcoming wedding but I had called after 2:00pm deadline for two day shipping. Josh said he would overnight ship it so the store will get the jacket by Friday! Thanks to the Jos A Bank team. You now have a repeat customer!

Buy 1 suit and get 3 free. What a deal. The suit you pay for may run you $ 500 bucks though but if you split the cost between 4 people you cant beat it with a stick.

Came here to take advantage of a pretty great sale: For sport coats & jackets, buy 1 at full price, get 3 for free. It just so happened this is exactly what the boyfriend needed.
We were greeted quickly, and he was measured for all professional wear items. It was great to have someone on hand in a flash who could do this. We were soon presented with a salesman, who on-​sight could determine exactly what size sport coat would fit the boyfriend (no need for measurements). He was good at that. However, before we could even glance at the rack, he pulled out the most expensive of all the sport coats and handed it to the BF. «This one would look great,» he said. «Don’t forget that it’s buy 1, get 3 free.»
Well, ha ha. We did find four very nice coats, the most expensive one being half the price of the original «suggestion.» Only one required tailoring, that service costing merely $ 7.50.
My boyfriend is the indecisive type and generally takes his time when considering a big purchase. But at this store, he just wanted to get away from the pestering of several roaming salesmen. Every three minutes, «how is everything? Did we decide yet?» The hurried/​pushy aspect of this store is why I’ve rated «OK.» The clothes are of good quality and we did end up with a great value for the money.

I was skeptical when I went in after hearing their ad… but 1 suit, get 2 other suits free, along with 2 shirts and 2 ties. But they were the real deal. No hassles. Amazing customer service (Jorge was my salesman and he was awesome)
The suits are definitely pricey… but very well made. I will be back next time they have a major sale.

Don’t bother trying to get professional help at this location. Tried to find out about tux rental and was treated really poorly with no customer service.
Tried to ask for guidance and was not given any. Tried to get some information about options and again, no guidance or help. Terrible experience.
