Such a great event with a good variety of samplings! The evening started with the check-in process. Super smooth and Lesina was friendly and welcoming. We then chose a seat in our Unilocal section. I first met Anika(for the first time IRL), then Kim Y, and lastly, Lisa & Phil. I was the plus one invitee by my friend Kimberly C. We had a nice table, we talked about everything, places to eat(of course), where we were from, about each of the drink & food items brought out, and the conversation roamed from there. We were first brought a Doble Fina Margarita, I think this was my favorite. We were also served a Little Larry, Sangrita, and SoCal Sweet Tea. I only had a few sips of each and that was plenty. For me, a much smaller sampling would have been welcomed! I’m sure for others, they appreciated getting as much of the spirits as they could. I kind of remember something about a Hard Cherry Limeade, so I’m thinking we were served that one also, but I declined? Each of these drinks were pretty strong! They did not hold back on the liquor! Luckily, we were able to go to the soda machine and get what we chose that was non-alcoholic! The soda machine are stocked with Maine Root Sodas, which contain cane sugar. They brought out 2 different baskets of fries, one was the truffle fries and the other was fries with 2 queso dips. I loved the queso dips! A baby kale salad was brought out between the serving of the different types of fries. This salad was full of deliciousness and so fresh! It consisted of Baby Kale Leaves, Arugula, Feta, Roasted Butternut Squash, Roasted Corn, Pickled Red Onions, Spiced Pepitas, Dates, Pomegranate Vinaigrette. We were brought out ¼ of 5 different burgers, each were quite good! My favorites were the Ahi Tuna & the Goodnight/Good Cause Burgers. We also had a Classic, Magic Shroom, and Prime Time Burger. They bake their buns in-house and they are super fresh and excellent for their burgers! If you like them, you can also buy a pack(with 6?) for $ 2.00. Such a deal! I highly recommend the Ahi Tuna Burger! It has Sushi-Grade Tuna(which is seared), Sprouts, Nori Chips, Teriyaki, Honey Wasabi, Mayo, Pickled Ginger. It is a well rounded burger and alternative to beef. The last edibles of the night was our taste test samples of 6 shakes. We were given a tray with 6 shakes in little condiment cups and instructed to write our name on them and rate them. The shakes samples arrived to the table quite melted, so it was a tiny bit difficult to judge them, but I managed. At the end of the evening, they collected the papers. They then tallied up the popularity of the shakes. The Caramel & Sea Salt won, then Nutella & Chocolate Pretzels, followed by Oreo! The last three were the Chocolate Stout, Vanilla Bean, and Red Velvet… I am not sure of the order of those last three. The big prizes were for two winners to win a gift card, either $ 25 or $ 50 each. Either one would have been great for me, but alas, I didn’t win! Congratulation to the winners of these prizes! I did score a Unilocal Ice Cube Tray, finally! And we were each given a guitar pick with a $ 5 value for next time we visit! Those of us who were able to come were all winners on this evening! Thank you Hopdoddy for your generosity, friendly service, and having us Unilocalers invade your business! Thank you to Brittany for offering this event. Thank you to Lesina for checking us all in and making sure things went as they should!
