For a traveling salesman:) I always sit at the bar, this is the place to park your arse! Great happy hour, loved the perfectly made classic martini blue cheese and all. The bartender was astute enough when I inquired as to the temp of the shelf wine to offer me a glass (bottle) from the chiller. I grabbed a few apps (the horseradish stuffed and bacon wrapped shrimp) and the to die for ribs (I make my own but these guys are cheating!) so 3 ish glasses of wine, a martini to die for a meal fit for a king who doesn’t want to be bigger than his kingdom less than 50 cents :) ok bucks but whatever ! Decided to explore with my girlfriend one night after work and picked Salt Creek Grille. Didn’t have a reservation so waited for a bit because of a crowded Wednesday night say 6pm.
This place is expensive.
We split an order of the Asian salad, flat bread, and order of fried. Surprisingly we were stuff.
It was delicious.
Service was a bit under staff. For a packed Wednesday night.
Maybe ony birthday I’ll come here… and won’t have to pay :)

I was stressing out trying to find a location to host my baby shower that was big enough but also affordable. That was proving to be hard to find in the South Bay. Salt Creek Grille had the perfect room and also fit my budget! Katie made everything extremely easy for me so I didn’t have to worry to much about the details or the food. We rented out their Sun Room and the fire pit area, which was perfect for the 30 people we had at the shower.
We had a private bar tender/​server, Marcus, who was awesome as well. He was friendly and patient, especially with all of the kid requests.
We ended up going with the pasta buffet option and bruschetta appetizer — everyone LOVED the food! I would definitely consider Salt Creek Grille if you are hosting an event. it was perfect for my baby shower :) Thanks Katie and Marcus!

Unilocal Check-​In Offer: Free Flatbread Appetizer!
I came here for dinner and I highly recommend getting a reservation ahead of time. We were seated immediately and we ordered the Creek Flatbread, which comes with almond pesto sauce (yum!), mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, balsamic and baby arugula. Even though this was free with the check-​in, holy shoot this appetizer is huge! The flat breads come in huge slices so you will definitely get leftovers. Another appetizer I recommend is the ahi tuna! Very yummy!
As for entrée, I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, which comes with delicious mashed potatoes and veggies. I really like the taste of the fish. It didn’t «melt» to my expectations but nonetheless, it was pretty delicious. The mashed potatoes were very filling as well.
Service is great. The quality and taste of the food here is also pretty good! Highly recommend coming here :)

Wow, based on my last review the last time I was here was back in 2009! I’ve stumbled upon this place again last night and I’m quite happy with our experience!
The place is beautiful and comfortable. I love the cabin feel. We had a friendly and knowledgable server who was a bit forgetful, forgot our wine orders and water but it can be forgiven because she was so nice and it was quite busy.
We ordered the shrimp and bacon appetizer which was a hit! The kale and quinoa w/​salmon salad was delicious, the filet mignon was perfectly cooked and a bunch of sides were equally as tasty!
Bit the finale of the night was the chocolate soufflé which is a must! For real.
Oh and another great thing is that on Tuesdays their wine glasses are half priced! AND they serve Prisoner wine which is my most favorite!
Looking forward to going back!

My dad and I came in tonight extremely hungry. We had a reservation and we were seated almost immediately. We sat down at 6:47. Waited and waited and waited for our server to finally come. (Michael) He took our drink order at 6:55. Drinks (iced tea and water) came at 7:05
and we then placed our food order. The appetizers came at 7:22. Because I checked-​in we got a free flatbread which was delicious. My dad had the chowder and I had a house salad. Both also very tasty, because we were so hungry. Once our food finally came at 7:45 we were delighted. I ordered the ribs (which could’ve had a more smokey flavor) and my dad ordered the sea bass. Michael checked on us a couple times and when my dad was finished Michael came and took his plate and started clearing my food but I wasn’t finished yet… After eating we were seriously considering dessert but it would’ve been closing time by the time he would’ve taken our dessert order. But my dad will settle for the candy he got at the gas station on the way here.

I attended a work sponsored meeting held in a nice secluded outside area at the Salt Creek Grille. The area was closed off by nice curtains, and was decorated with flowers and candles. I liked that there were two large freestanding heaters, because I am easily chilled. It took me a little over 90 minutes to drive to El Segundo from Rancho Cucamonga with decent traffic.
When I arrived I was escorted to the meeting area and offered a selection of wine. I ended up choosing a nice Merlot. It hit the spot after the long drive. Our server Rachel was very attentive and quick on her toes especially for serving 8 guests. She was quick on the water and drink refills. The person giving the lecture presentation, while we ate, was a little was clumsy and knocked some items over. Rachel was quick to make sure that he was okay and assisted in picking up the mess.
For dinner I had the classic Caesar salad. The thing that stood out about this salad is that it had fresh Asiago cheese shavings on it. It really brought all the flavors full circle. The Filet Mignon was very tender and a larger than normal portion was given (Yay). The filet was served with crisp green beans, sauteed mushrooms, bell peppers, and a large side of mashed Yukon gold potatoes. When I told our server Rachel that I would need a to go box, she boxed up my items and gave me extra vegetables and potatoes to take home. Score! For dessert I ended up getting the cheesecake Brulee with raspberries (the menu said strawberry, but hey i like all types of berries). I liked how the flame just ever so lightly caramelized and toasted the top of the cheesecake. I did not need a to go box for this, I ate it all.
On a side note, the women’s restroom was very classy. There was a huge full length mirror, and new state of the art everything. It had simple but nice decorations and was spotless clean.

We came here for happy hour and dinner.
Happy Hour — Nice ambience and strong, tasty cocktails for $ 6. I heard the food used to be innovative and good here but now they changed the menu items so it’s more like bar food. They just ok but the stuffed jumbo shrimp stood out from the rest.
Dinner — We shared the Porterhouse Stroganoff and Mary’s Rotisserie Chicken. The chicken entrée was delicious but the strognoff pappardelle pasta was overcooked and tasted like rice noodles. My friend sent the dish back and got the Roasted Squash & Ricotta Ravioli instead. The ravioli was made more «al dente» so we all enjoyed it.
Overall the staff was helpful, attentive and professional when we made a couple of special requests. If you fancy a strong drink then this place will not disappoint!

I had dinner here last night with a girl friend who is getting married this weekend and the manager came over congratulated her, asked about the wedding, have advice and also said she would love treat us to dessert and make the evening extra special. We shared 2 dishes for dinner the Greek flatbread and the Thai noodle cold salad with chicken! Omg so amazing and they can bring out warm bread if you ask for it .
If you make reservations from 6 – 730 you’ll be able to listen to their live music coming from the happy hour bar area. It was such a nice touch to our evening and the crowd enjoyed them as well. That’s my next visit, the happy hour lounge ! :)

Sent back a filet three times. First still mooing, second burnt and mooing, third dry and gristly but gave up and choked it down for fear of starving. Said fear stemming from the waiters’ scarcity in attention and refilling drinks. Literally felt like an air traffic controller trying to flag him down. Any self-​respecting establishment would comp such a bastardization of meat but they tried to pawn a desert off instead. Turned down, of course, in disgust.
This isn’t the first time such a snafu has happened to me here but it will definitely be my last.

I tried Salt Creek Grille for the first time recently, for our office holiday dinner. We found our server a little unfriendly at first, but he seemed to warm up as the night went on. Maybe he was a bit nervous that we were such a large party.
The food was very good. For appetizers, we ordered some perfectly crunchy calamari and a super fresh ahi tuna stack. Both were excellent.
Everyone at my table decided that we’d let each other sample our entrees. I especially enjoyed my coffee encrusted NY steak. One of my co-​workers got the rib eye and it was also great. Another friend from work ordered the filet mignon, which was only ok. Finally, the last person on my table got the salmon special of the evening and it was not very flavorful. Lesson here is that Salt Creek Grille is a restaurant where you’re better off ordering the steak!
We shared a chocolate ganache soufflé for dessert and it was the perfect way to end the evening.

Came here for lunch and ordered the baby back ribs. They were small, overcooked, mediocre and expensive. The interior was nice. Also peaked at the wine list and noticed a wine going for 7x the price from a grocery store. They’re not alone in gouging you on cheap wine but that practice needs to stop as soon as possible. My lunch companions ordered a variety of menu items and they all felt similarly about their dishes.
You’re paying mostly for the location and décor rather than the the food. You should only come here if you’re invited by someone else (or group) and have no other choice. It still gets two stars for not doing anything terrible and not making me sick. If it was free or I had no choice, I would return.

–Spacious giant parking lot shared with Whole Foods and bunch of other stores, almost feels like those giant plazas in Irvine.
–Down the street from LAX for pre-​plane or postplane libations without paying airport prices
–Stiff martinis that aren’t too sweet for only $ 6
–Great service, large bar area with open seating, kind of has that chain restaurant but classy feel (because it is), I dunno if I would eat here normally, but yes for happy hour
–Bacon wrapped shrimp and potato chips with onion dips on the happy hour menu (noms!)

Fantastic service and variety of new American food– wedge salads, Thai chicken noodle salad, Kobe burger and fries, and pasta. Trying the flat bread (BBQ!) thanks to the Unilocal!check in off was a delicious surprise. So delicious that we continued with a tomato soup and bread appetizer that was oozing with cheese. Every dish was seasoned well, proportioned appropriately, and, best of all, quick to come out.
Come here when you need to depart from LAX soon, or arrive at LAX starving. With TVs all over the bar and romantic seated tables, you can come dress however you want. I even saw a group of ladies dressed to the nines in high back chairs each– book club meeting perhaps? Or just a reason to drink?!

Good place for business lunch or dinner, but thing its a bit pricey for what i want to eat.
Got the Ahi stack which was good but confusing how to eat, just huge chunks of ahi and avocado sitting in soy sauce.

I’ve been to Salt Creek Grille two times before. My first experience was about 2+ years ago and my second visit was about a month ago. On both occasion, I thought the food was pretty basic. It’s your typical American fare with no real flare or outstanding flavor to it. On my most recent visit, I checked in on Unilocal and they offer a free flatbread when you check-​in. When I asked our waiter about this, they just said that we have to go on Unilocal and give them a 5 star review in order to receive the free flatbread. My first visit here was 3 star worthy so I was wondering how the ratings are at a 4 star right now. Well, this is how they got a little boost in ratings. I’m personally unable to give a place a great review just for a free appetizer.

The service here was decent for the most part. We were in the corner so they didn’t stop by as often as they probably should have. I also asked for a couple sauces to accompany my burger which they forgot about.

Creek Burger– Ground short rib, chuck and brisket, aged white cheddar, wild baby arugula, caramelized onions and bacon jam, house spread, Amish bun and truffle parmesan fries. The burger was moist, but lacked flavor. I thought with the caramelized onions and bacon jam, it would be packed with different flavors, but the overall burger and fries were pretty salty. ³⁄₅
Grilled Chicken BLT: Applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, swiss, bacon aioli, Amsih bun, Salt Creek Grille garlic fries. I was looking forward to trying this dish out, but it definitely fell short in flavor. I honestly, did not taste anything other than a little burnt flavor from the grill marks. ²⁄₅
Overall, I won’t be coming back to Salt Creek Grille anytime soon. The ambiance of the restaurant is pretty nice, but the food is just subpar.

Came here for happy hour with a pretty large group of 12 and sat in the lounge seating In the bar area. As for the mixed drinks on the HH menu, definitely pass on those. I had a Tito’s mule and it tasted like there wasn’t any Tito’s. Everyone else that ordered a mixed drink from the HH menu was very disappointed as well! I kid you not, the whole group switched to beer and wine after their first round.
They definitely don’t have very many non-​meat options so my review is very limited. The chips are a must for sharing because it’s s large portion. Super fresh and crust and comes with a tasty little dipping sauce. Garlic fries, same thing, thin cut, crispy and very large portion.
The arugula and cheese flatbread was really good too. It had a sweet (possibly balsamic)
Drizzle that was so yummy. I wanted to wipe my crust with it. Another good Sharing item as the small size serves 2 – 3 people.
Service was very slow and our server was a bit spacey and rude at times. Forget to get drinks on several different occasions (one guy waited over 20 minutes for a beer while others were served theirs when they ordered after him). Despite the service, everyone had a pretty good time. Nothing great though, so not likely to return.
