Rude. Unprofessional. Condescending. Late to appointment. Lacked knowledge and common courtesy.
Denied seeing a leak when water was visibly dripping from valve. Got back in his truck, shut the door, and ignored us for 10 minutes before giving us an invoice for the service fee (through home warranty) and informing us that our warranty didn’t cover his services. The invoice said «no leak.» When he attempted to help, he actually made the leak worse.

We were sent this company from our home warranty and I must say this is the worst customer service we have seen so far. The guy came in to look for
Leak in our crawl space and he entered the house be asked me questions to confirm if there is leak or not. And based on sound I described he simply said there is no leak. I asked him to at least go in crawl space and look for leak because we know that there was leak happening. This guy was so hesitant to go and then just went for 2 mins and came back and said there is no leak. He knew nothing and was probably just know to fix faucet stuff etc. We had to call some other plumbing service without insurance and they identified and fix the leak. With poor customer service, rude behavior and lack of any knowledge, they don’t even deserve single star. Does not recommend these guys at all.

Through our home warranty company, we had Martin come out for our water heater which stopped working. He diagnosed the problem as a broken part, checked Home Depot for the part, ordered the part, and then came back on his day off (the day before New Year’s Eve) to install it. We were very grateful for his extra effort.

I had fantastic results with Plumbing Express! This past week, we had a leak in the upstairs bathroom. Plumbing Express initially were going to schedule us in 3 days, but after I mentioned we only had one working shower in the house, they arranged James to come out the next day. Sure enough. He called before he came and took care of our leak! He then came out the next day and verify it no longer leaked then he did a rough «closeup» ceiling. He sheetrocked and applied the putty to the gap. I’ll just need to texture and paint, no be deal. James did the difficult work!
I noticed several negative reviews. bet they didn’t have the same repairman we had. If you want a name to ask for, always ask for James, he knows what he’s doing!!!

If negative stars were possible I would give that. Felipe is terrible he was sent out by our home warranty people to fix a leak under our slab we were told it would take two days we didn’t mind because we were in a hotel. First thing he tried to do was tell us he wasn’t going to tape anything off and that he wasn’t responsible for the dust or debris on anything. So I started taping things off with plastic and then once he realized I wasn’t going to stop he decided he would help and thank god because once he started cutting into the slab the hallway we taped off was completely filled with thick dust. Then it started to get really late at night we can’t eat at our house we didn’t have running water so around 600 we said we would have to wrap it up so my husband could eat and get ready for bed he has to wake up at 420am for work we also have a baby and he was hungry and getting restless he told us a little longer by 7 we were begging him to leave he told us he wouldn’t be able to come back for a couple days so he had to finish by 8 my husband was going to kick him out of our house he wasn’t going to leave and kept telling us he wouldn’t be able to come back for weeks. At 930pm he was finally done and come to find out he was scheduled to come back out the next day he just didn’t want to drive and all his company had to say was he is just stubborn. I will never have them come out again I don’t care if the home warranty wants to send them again never ever!!!

This company doesn’t even deserve that one star. I have never been so disappointed. First of all we had to use the company due to a home warranty that had sent them out to us due to the fact our water heater was leaking. We hade hot water initially before they came. When he left we had no hot water. I called the company to ask what had happen a Linda who answered the phone in the office supposedly the manager had this nastiness to her of no other. So repulsive. Is there a negative rating here? Warranty Company sent them out after the first company «fixed» the pilot assembly on the water heater. Months later, PG&E was doing a lot of work in our cul-​de-​sac and needed to shut off the gas and come back to relight. PG&E guy says whoever redid your water heater should be FIRED. The red wires that SHOULD go to the «kill switch» were simply taped together. I called Fidelity and told the moron on the phone that this was potentially dangerous and could possibly result in the water heater exploding or starting a fire per PG&E. Her answer??? Did the part fail??? I said, «do you mean did my water heater explode and/​or start fire?’ Um-​NOT YET… she goes-​well, we will not come out until the part fails! I told her I could be dead when that happens-​no movement-​just kept repeating we cannot do anything until the part fails!!! She was a GENIUS compared to the moron they finally sent after my contacting a supervisor. Guy comes out — starts arguing. Told him that these two red wires were supposed to go to the kill switch and told him what PG&E said. He agreed that PG&E was correct. Got the same run around-​old water heater, hard to get parts for, yadda, yadda and then proceeded to tell me about some lawsuit because of this problem that was settled in the millions for just this problem. Further inspected it-​then started disagreeing with what PG&E had said-«Oh ma’am’-they should not have told you that-​they were being alarming»…wait-you just agreed with them. Then he went into a long convo on not being able to get parts-he’d have to call Home Depot-​long wait on the phone… yadda yadda. Finally he comes in and says PG&E was ALL wrong (remember this had resulted in a LAWSUIT prior to PG&E’s warning)…and I said «call PG&E and argue with them»…now go out and fix my water heater. Comes back in and starts arguing about PG&E. I said «what don’t you understand-​I don’t want to hear another word about PG&E» and he starts YELLING at me-«Calm down-​calm down»…WHAT??? Goes back out says he can’t get a part-​is on the phone starts in about PG&E again!!! I said –go out and FIX MY WATER HEATER! Goes back out-​comes in and says-​he was wrong-​he CAN find a part but is waiting on the phone and how he’d have to drive to Concord to get it, lots of time… Started YELLING again about PG&E telling me the wrong thing!!! I yelled right back and told him to leave. He takes his phone-​goes and sits in his truck for 45 minutes — -then HE LEAVES without aword!!! Comes back 45 minutes later… and says he’s got the part… I said «nice you told me that you LEFT»…he goes –well you were on the phone… I said NO — I watched you sit in your truck for 45 minutes-​you NEVER told me you were leaving or what you were doing… he starts in again on PG&E…I put my hands up and said-​JUST GO FIX THE WATER HEATER. Then I sat out in the garage so that this moron wouldn’t damage anything and watched while he put in a new burner assembly that had TWO RED WIRES ATTACHED TO A KILL SWITCH! DO NOT — REPEAT DO NO ALLOW THESE PEOPLE INTO YOUR HOME…

I had the MOST unpleasant experience with this company’s plumber today.
So I have Fidelity home warranty and through them they called Plumbing Express to fix the clogging in my kitchen sink. Seems pretty straight forward, right? Not for this company’s plumber. He came checked it out and said «I will return in 20 mins». After 2 hours I got a call from Fidelity home warranty telling me that he called them and told them something like this ‘I can’t get my compressor to the second floor and they have white carpet, so I am afraid there will be stains.“
I couldn’t believe my ears when they told me this!!!
First of all he didn’t even try to do anything, he just ran away.
Second, we have HUGE balcony next to the kitchen which is directly facing the street where cars can park.
Third if you were so afraid to stain my carpet couldn’t you tell me??? I have stuff to cover it.
Anyway, this is not professional company and they just want to make fast and easy money. He knew that it will require him to so some work that’s why he RAN away!
My advise: Avoid them in any cost.

Home warranty called sent them out, it went good but I cashed out cause it was expensive I replaced the water heater using J&K Plumbing for $ 900 !!! they wanted $ 1600, $ 490 out of pocket cashed out $ 1035 so it was all good he called the warranty company on spot and took care thx !!

John came to our home promptly, timely and very professional. He was sent by HOME WARRANTY as well like other reviewers. We called the home warranty in the morning on Friday and he came in the end of afternoon. We have a GE water heater known to have problems with pilot. Because he knew about our description of the problem, no hot water he brought a brand new OEM pilot in case he needs to install. He was very chatty with my husband, he communicate very clear the problem, went to his car and grab the new part and install. what not to love? all is working and he left us with a hot showers. So, don’t believe everything you read. People have their own perception of life moments. He came yesterday 06/​12/​2015 as for now he deserves a great review.

I was referred to Plumbing Express through my home warranty company. After reading all the reviews I have to admit I was extremely sceptical and didn’t expect quality work or results. I was happily surprised that my experience was completely opposite! James was professional and knowledgable. He had to come out twice, once to diagnose and then to install. Showed up on time, and did great a great job. I will not hesitate to call them with any future plumbing issues I have.

We were sent these people from our home warranty also, but they were very easy to work with. Great service and they were quick.
First visit another plumber had been sent and he said that our water heater was fine… but it sounded like it would blow up. Really loud noises. So home warranty sent these people and he said it had to be replaced ASAP so he did and its great
And had them out again today for a shower stem and again great service. Home warranty or not we will contact them for any other issues we may have.

Reading the other reviews makes me shake my head a little, do people really think the company wants to deny the work for the Home Warranty company to pay for? It’s either covered or it isn’t, in my case it wasn’t but the guy who came over (John) walked me through exactly how to fix it myself. That is amazing service, I will use this company any time I have an issue (which is hopefully never). I was his last call of the day, and instead of half-​fasting it he was thorough and diligent in making sure he diagnosed my issue properly.
Am I bitter I have to spend my own money because this isn’t covered by the home warranty? Yes! Is it Plumbing Express’, or John’s, fault it’s not covered? No! Did plumbing express leave here knowing that I knew how to fix the problem entirely, yes! A plumbing company that you can trust is like finding a car mechanic you can trust, and these guys are good!

The warranty company sent this company out to look at my non-​working water heater. The guy had no clue what he was doing, but moreover he LIED to me to get out of fixing it because the job needed some effort in dealing with both manufacturer’s warranty and the home warranty. Horrible horrible horrible! Stay away from them.

Got the job done, but left my freezer un-​plugged!!! Generally had a bad attitude and was messy.

The home warranty company sent this company out. The staff were polite, clean as they worked, and they got the job done. They don’t have enough staff to respond quickly to an emergency, but overall they got the job done well.

Yesterday our washing machine backed-​up so we called Plumbing Express since we have used them before. Linda answered the phone promptly and scheduled a technician between 10:00 AM and 12:00, same day. He showed up at 10:00 AM. We were very happy with the results.

As with others the home warranty repair company sent this company out. The person ‘Diagnosed’ the problem by listening to what I had done myself and calling his buddy to ask what to do. In the end all he did was call the home warranty repair company and say that it wasn’t ‘mechanical’ failure and justify not covering the repair. The guy didn’t even try turning the unit on and obviously had absolutely no clue how to fix a tankless water heater at all.
If you have a home warranty you may be stuck with this company but if you don’t then call someone else.

This was a whole lotta backup in the work of the guy! Not sure who I am more upset with: my home warranty or this company that didn’t even do a mediocre job in draining the pipes. Felipe looks at the water in the shower, mumbles a thing or two goes outside and tries to snake the drain with a rusty snake cleaner. Didn’t really put any elbow grease on it and calls it quits 10 minutes later. Home warranty calls and says it wasn’t possible and I am on my own.
Luckily Turbo Plumbing was next choice. Brent came out, reassessed the situation and took charge! So glad we called Turbo Plumbing. They did the same work but only finished it!

I currently had my water heater start leaking on me in my new used 1942 home here in Yadayadayada. I called my home warranty company, Old Republic, and they dispatched the job to this company Plumbing Express.
Plumbing Express sent this older guy named John to inspect the job. The only John in the company he claims. The first question he asks as he walks out of his truck is «Is the waterheater in the garage?» I said «No» in the house. It was downhill from there-​the black cloud he brought followed and he just kept muttering negativity about the problem with these older homes and this and that. As I showed him the problem, he was already complaining about the job for his crew. He used every excuse there is from:
«It’s an inch too tight»
«We’re strictly a plumbing company, we don’t do anything else»
«You may have to cut out part of the closet to fit one in»
«They must have put the heater in after they installed the Waterheater» (funny because the heater was 13 years old and the waterheater was 9 years old)
«It’s going to take a lot of manpower»
«The access is bad for us to get to, you may need an HVAC guy to cut them lines before we could do our job»
«We’re booked all month»
«You definitely won’t have hot water for about a week or 2»
«I don’t understand why anybody would put a waterheater in their hallway closet and not in the garage»
etc, etc
He was so ridiculously lazy. It’s an OLD HOUSE and what’s done is done. Figure it out old man. If you say you’ve «done your time» in this field than show some confidence in your people to get the job done.
Made himself look like an idiot. He’s basically working for the company to collect the $ 60 copay for his laziness. I can’t believe a company would allow an idiot to represent their company. Their company is now on my «Do not call use these people» for anything with my Home Warranty. I even had to settle with Old Republic for their rate and hire outside. I hope you all don’t hire Plumbing Express because they can’t tackle anything and they’ll waste your time.
They basically have a contract with Old Republic to simply just collect Trade Service Fees. Nothing will actually get done by them.
**This morning at 7am I hired a contractor that came in, inspected, and was so confident that his crew could knock it out in 3 hours. They actually finished in a little over 2 hours and said that was the easiest thing they’ve done in a long time. Very clean, efficient, respectful, reputable, and not limited to just plumbing.
