Elburn Lions Club

This place is so much fun that I work here for free! Bingo, Raffles, Elburn Days, Car Show, and various other fundraising events. Lots of good people doing good things for the surrounding communities. They also send money to disasters and terror event nationally and internationally… A great place to have a family reunion, work picnic, or any other event.

I was here for the first time last night. My fiancé and I went with another couple to the 300 Raffle. It was so much fun and my fiancé ended up winning $ 300 in the raffle. They sold 300 tickets for $ 50 each and through out the night they would draw ticket numbers until they went through all 300. I think it was every 5^th number that person would get either $ 100, $ 200 or $ 300. There was a full service bar with cheap drinks prices…$ 2.50 a beer. They served chicken wings, meatballs and chips and dip for appetizers. Dinner was delicious. It was grilled chicken and pork as well. The potatoes were to die for. I am very much a potato girl. There was also homemade coleslaw and wheat or white rolls. After dinner games were set up for more gambling kind of fun. There was blackjack, craps, and a wheel game were you had to guess which number the wheel would stop on and you got to place bets with dollars. Overall it was a fun night lasting about 4 hours and I would certainly recommend going again. There are all kinds of raffle events to help the community every couple of months so keep an eye out!
