Fence Connection

Wonderful, well-​priced job! Contacted the company for a quote in April, the fence was installed to our specifications within four weeks of signing the contract. I am a rather particular person and honestly have to say EVERYONE on the job worked incredibly hard and created a perfect fence! Scott, the salesman, explained everything and followed up TWICE to ask if we had any questions and to ensure we understood things, including the schedule. The installers, led by Carlos, worked carefully and efficiently on this back-​breaking job, pulling out the old fence, digging new post holes by hand and installing the new posts with precision and care. The men are GREAT… I cannot recommend them or this company highly enough.

I made an appointment one week in advance to have a sales rep come to my home to work up a quotation. I left work early only to find that he came early because he was in the neighborhood. No phone call. What’s the point of an appointment? I was left an estimate for vinyl fencing along with a pamphlet for wooden fencing — because they were out of those for vinyl fencing. How was this to help me? I needed an «in person» visit to explain everything I wanted and didn’t get that. Their estimate was about $ 500 more than other companies. Maybe their product is far superior but how would I know since the sales rep didn’t think it was valuable enough to actually wait for our appointment time and meet with me face to face. I would not recommend this company because they don’t value a customer’s time. There is definitely no connection with this company.

Requested a quote online for a fence repair. Got a response that they received my request and would be in contact shortly. Weeks went by, they never responded. My husband finally contacted them again to request a quote, this time via phone call. They scheduled someone to come out 10 days later. He arrived an hour earlier than scheduled & spent no more than 2 minutes on the property (including parking, ringing the doorbell, getting brochures), not enough to check the integrity of the fence. He viewed the obvious damage from a distance (we wanted a quote for an entire side– 15 fence posts– the length of the yard that may be compromised– he quoted us only for the 4 affected by the storm) and really pushed the metal posts for the $ 30 upgrade. My husband couldn’t get a lot of info; he seemed in a hurry and handed us a Fence Connection card with his name (Ray Medina) & personal number written on it as well as the brochure for the metal posts. He came on a Thursday & my husband called his number the following week to schedule the repair and the he didn’t remember coming or even have a record of the quote (which verbally he told us was $ 650 ($ 350 base price for the first & $ 100 per additional post)). Stated at minimum we’d be waiting 3 weeks for the repair and couldn’t guarantee the price since there was no record of his visit. Getting ahold of this company was difficult, getting an appointment even more troublesome, and the service is terrible. I can’t imagine the quality of product would be anything better than lackluster.

These people couldn’t be any nicer or more efficient. We had our fence installed in the dead of winter and it looks amazing and it was done right! Everyone was respectful and courteous. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of fence work.

Stay far far away from this company. Call any other company besides this one. They will charge you a crazy amount and then your fence will not pass inspection and then they will charge you even more to fix their mistakes. They will blame everyone including yourself on why it didn’t pass inspection. Find a more reputable company with better reviews and real people telling you their experiences. Cheaper is definitely not better!

I cannot say enough about this company. From the estimates, to the final install, everything was as professional as could be. If I could give them ten stars I would. They kept us informed as to when and what time their crew was going to be on site. Very nice.
Now, I am one picky guy, and the fit and finish on the fence was second to none. But, I digress.
I opted for a sort of custom Cedar fence, which was built on site, one board at a time. No prefab panels here.
Not like the Bob Jacks Rustic wood fencing that they replaced which was was an abomination and nightmare from the start. But that’s another story…
Anyway, their installers were true pros. From the demo of the old fence, which they cleaned everything up like they were not even there, to the install, which, like I mentioned before was nothing short of perfect.
At their recommendation they used steel posts, from which the built the fence around. I was amazed at just how much labor goes into building a fence from scratch. And, I am sure the steel will be around much longer than I.
And efficient. The first day they pulled the old fence out, removed all the old fence, posts, cement etc, and then set the steel poles. That was on a Friday.
Due to rain on Saturday, they had to come back today. And I received a phone call letting me know that they would be out on Monday.
Well, its Monday, the fence is in and looks perfect. All 165 feet of it. Plus, the whole neighborhood smells of cedar!

Thank you Fence Connection for your true professionalism. And a big thank you to the crew that was out today. They busted their butts on a really hot humid day. I would gladly buy them a round or two! Send me the bill!

Bought a house with a wooden fence installed by FC and found out that the wooden gate was not sitting flush. No other parts of the fence settled and everything is parallel, leading me to believe that the gated entry was faulty from the get go.
I called to inquire about warranties which they stated does not transfer ownership, that is understandable. Then I asked when the fence was installed and the lady helping me was reluctant to delve into the issue as searching through old papers proved to be too arduous for her.
They were incredibly unhelpful. I can only hope that they provide more assistance to the previous owner once I serve them with a lawsuit for failure to disclose existing issues.
I would not recommend this company.

Guess I was much luckier than the last reviewer. When the big storm hit this summer, it blew down a few of my fence panels (like many hundreds of other homes in the area). I feared it was going to be quite a challenge to find a contractor who could repair my fence quickly, or even call me back. But on Monday morning, I started calling around and Fence Connection returned my call promptly, had an estimator out the next day, and work was completed a week after that.
The work was done very professionally and fence looks great. My only minor complaint was that the crew ended up not needing to replace quite as many posts as had been quoted, yet the price was not reduced accordingly. Since it was only a couple of posts, I let it slide, but a 5-​star company would have adjusted the bill without asking.

Funny how they told me it would take two weeks to get my fence installed and it really took six. Funny how they didn’t waste any time charging my credit card within seconds of receiving my signed contract. Funny how the salesman never followed up, called back or even bothered to say thank you. Funny how I was the one who always had to call them to see WTF is going on with my fence that should have been installed a month ago. Funny how absolutely nobody that I spoke to in my 10 – 15 phone calls with this place had any clue, personality or customer service training whatsoever.
But I love my fence…

Great company to do business with, really impressed with the salesman and service. Fence is perfect, everything was cleaned up real nice. Really a good job.
