M N R Customs

MnR Customs (Mike) came recommended by Autozone, but is no good and ripped me off. Here are some of the negatives:
1. He was charging me extra for full synthetic oil on oil changes when he was really putting in cheaper mixed/​partial synthetic
2. He tore apart my trunk and didn’t put it back together when he was trying to get at my rear struts for replacement
3. Replaced the rear struts but didn’t tighten them properly
4. Replaced my front axle but installed it incorrectly — the front wheel was locked and they had to take off the wheel and redo the job
5. Never replaced the transmission oil after axle change — my car now has irreversible damage and needs a NEW TRANSMISSION
6. Overcharged me on my struts and axle replacement labor charge when he was two hours over the guaranteed time, and even had to come back with another part later that evening (which he charged time for too).
7. A lot of late shows and no shows. The last time I expected him he never showed up nor called to say he was late or not coming.
8. Showed up at my house a week later after the last no show unexpected. I was not home but my boyfriend was. Mike (the mechanic) stated he was meeting me and that he had just talked to me on the phone. My boyfriend called me and told me this much to my surprise. I informed my boyfriend that was NOT the case, he was not supposed to be there and I had not talked to him since calling him out on his no show the week before.
If you think this guy is great, double check EVERYTHING he does, and somehow make sure you aren’t getting ripped off without knowing it!

New to the area and know absolutely nothing about cars. When my car basically just stopped working at a busy red light I freaked out and googled the nearest autozone to see if they could point me in the right direction. While in there they directed me to a gentleman named Mike. He offered to come out and take a look. After checking things out, we went on a short drive. He told me what he thought it was and what it might be. Showed me how to fix the problem of it happened again and gave me an estimate if I needed to replace the part. I told he all the work I had done before moving here and he correlated that to why I was having problems. I truly appreciated his help and honesty about everything. He didn’t charge me a thing but I wish I could’ve given him something! In return I’ll just call them next time I’m having issues instead of going elsewhere!

I have used MnR on multiple occasions helping my kids get their cars up and running, and I cant say enough about em!
If you are looking for a reliable mechanic, someone who gets the job done right and at a fair price, will bend over backwards in customer service and knows what they are doing, look no further!
