Sapphire Hills Stable

I don’t even know where to start with this place…
The owner Bob is very emtionally unstable and volatile. He was recently arrested and charged with assult and battery against a female boarder. He pushed her hard into a stall after they got into a heated argument over the condition of his facility.
I have personally witnessed him and his hired helpers feeding moldy hay to horses, all of which are a string of very young girls which quit on him after just a few months due to the abusive way he treats them and the horses.
The place is a complete mess of cobwebs, fire hazzards, dirty all around and in very bad repair. The pastures are also in very bad repair and there are many times where the horses go weeks without turn out during times the weather is good and they should be outside.
Bob is also very dishonest businessman. He buys cheap moldy hay and often times has been caught not feeding horses to save money on feed even though boarders are paying for the feed as part of their board,
If you go to any other reputable barn in the area you will see how bad sapphire hills is run, managed and kept up.
Based on my interactions with him while I boarded here, I think he is at best emtionally unstable. He does not care about the horses, other than his own and his bull.
It’s a very toxic environment to say the least and I’ve seen several horses under Bob’s care severely and dangerously underweight because of how he manages their care.
RUN LIKE THE WIND FROM THIS PLACE… unless you want your horses to die from colic or starvation or accumulate vet bills from injuries in his poorly maintained pastures.
I’ve seen him verbally abusing young trainers and his behavior will catch up with him one day. Hopefully soon.
