Alan Kushner & Associates, DDS

I have never actually enjoyed going to any dentist… who has? But as most of us realize, seeing a dentist is a much wiser choice than not seeing one, so choose one we must. I have been seeing Dr Jordan Kushner exclusively since my first visit to his chair.
I have had a couple fillings, a crown, and three wisdom teeth pulled since my first visit. Dr Jordan’s chair-​side manners are top notch. He is always very clear about what he recommends for current and future visits; while I am in the chair, he is very calming and let’s me know anytime a particular sensation is imminent (pressure, pinch, etc). He knows I dislike dental visits in general, but Dr Jordan always does an exceptional job of assuaging my anxiety. I can’t count how many times I’ve left the office thinking «That wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be.»
Case in point: my wisdom teeth were able to be extracted without surgery, so I was awake the whole time with that deer-​in-​the-​headlights look on my face, and he showed me the first tooth he pulled before I even thought he was actually extracting it. All I felt was the «light pressure» he predicted (I thought he was just poking around in there) and then there’s a molar in front of my face. After that, I wasn’t worried at all, and I was out of there in under an hour.
The staff is always courteous, and the hygienist is of the highest quality.
For the record, I drive 25 miles (about 45 minutes) and pass a lot of dental offices to get to the Elk Grove office.

I wish I was given the oportunity to review how my visit was with the destists but the receptionist was so unwilling to help make an appointment and made every effort to avoid that I get a sencond opinion from the dentists at this office. I had already made arrangements with my insurance to visit this office but she still managed to find a reason for me not to come in.
I can’t speak for the services provided by the Dentists, I am sure they are great doctors and the reviews were not so bad but Ms Receptionist… you are representing this office and your approach to new patients is unprofesional or racist maybe

I’ve been seeing Dr. Jordan Kushner for almost 10 years. When I first started seeing him, he was actually practicing at another office in Huntley. I enjoy seeing him so much, that when he moved to the Elk Grove Village office, I followed.
Debbie (reception/​scheduling) always greets me with a smile when I come in, and makes sure I’m all set for my follow up appointments, or next checkup. They take care of filing the claims for my particular insurance company, and anything I owe after the insurance has always been reasonable and fair.
Margaret (hygienist) does a very through job cleaning my teeth, and makes sure I am comfortable during the entire process. The office recently underwent some remodeling and installed new chairs with televisions. Sports Center during my cleaning? YES!
Dr. Kushner is very friendly, fantastic at explaining any issues with my teeth, and through in going over all the options when it comes to treatment. If I need to have any work done, Dr. Kushner does his best to get as much of the work done in one appointment that he can so I’m not making a lot of trips back. During the process, he makes sure I am not having any pain during the procedure. I’ve had several cavities filled, and a few crowns put on (I drink too much soda!)
Dr. Kushner has always been professional, friendly, and thorough. I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great dentist.

I have been going here for a few years and have no complaints. The dental hygienists are great to work with and haven’t had many mouth issues to have to see the Dr. I have seen him once and he was very personable but also very direct and to the point. I will continue going to this office as long as I live in the area.

Would give negative review if I could. I know I don’t go to the dentist as often as I should… I usually go about once a year give or take. Within the past few years I moved to EGV, I decided to switch to a dentist closer to where I live since the one I had been seeing was in the city. Went a couple of times to see Kushner… never had an issue. Of course they always recommend a «deep» cleaning… which by the way AFTER insurance is around $ 300 (I know because my husband got it done but ONLY because he had not been to a dentist in yeaaaars and thought he may actually benefit from it). I should say I know my gums are not so healthy, they bleed, and are a bit swollen, but its an issue I’ve had since I can remember even as a child. No matter how much I flossed. Never in the 30 years I have seen previous dentists have I ever been offered this deep cleaning… never even heard of it. But today when I went in for my appointment the hygenist REFUSED to clean my teeth unless it was a «deep» cleaning. WHAT?!? Isn’t cleaning teeth your job? I know I can not be the worst patient you have ever seen… I mean come on… it had only been about a year I was there and your telling me my teeth are not able to be cleaned normally??? I am outraged. Did you ever think Ms. Hygenist some people just can’t afford to throw around $ 300 on what I think to be as an «elective» treatment? If this is so necessary how come my very well known big name insurance company won’t cover it 100%?? Of course she refused to clean my teeth after she took her nice xrays and after the dentist saw me (who by the way did not say my gums were so bad that they were not cleanable only that I would benefit from it). So unfortunately they will make some money. But COME ON! Wake up Dr. Kushner your hygenist is losing your clients for you, because I can assure you not I nor my husband will be back!!! What a waste of time… wait a month for an appointment and spend a half hour there… only to be refused service! Wow is all I can say…

I see Dr. Kushner Jr. He’s probably the best dentist I’ve ever had. I’m a guy that hates going to see the dentist and always has and I really don’t mind it anymore.
Dr. Becker is really cool too. I’ve had a him on a few occasions and he’s a great alternative.
Plus, the suburban or downtown option is pretty awesome.
