History

Established in 2007.

Atmosphere Events Group or AEG was built from the ground up by two partners; Tom & John. Both natives of Chicago, IL they took their industry knowledge and applied it in a customer service oriented manner to create a company that is as easy to approach as it is to work with.

AEG is a multi-​faceted company that provides quality equipment and labor to anyone who demands a high level of professional service. We originally hired Victoria to provide the flowers for our May 2016 wedding. Not only did she knock it out of the park with the flowers, but she was also able to provide so many of the additional details that I hadn’t even thought about. At my final walk through of the venue, the venue manager kept asking me questions about frames for table numbers, aisle runners, a box for the cards, etc… and every time I looked confused Victoria was able to come back with «We can provide that!». It was a huge stress relief!
The flower arrangements that she designed and put together were absolutely beautiful! I only had a vague idea of what I wanted and gave Victoria some general guidelines. Once I saw the flowers on the day of though I knew they were exactly what I wanted. Somehow she had managed to figure out what I wanted before I did! We also had to move our ceremony indoors at the last minute and Victoria was able to quickly provide suggestions and options that made the space beautiful!
Overall — the experience of working with AEG and Victoria was amazing and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

AEG exceeded our expectations in every possible way! Not only did AEG light up out venue with bistro lights, they created (and built!) an AWESOME custom Edison bulb feature for over our head table (absolutely loved it). We also used Victoria, AEG’s florist, and she seriously rocked! She stayed in our budget and created some of the most fantastic floral creations (bouquets, planted succulents, incredible terrariums). We walked into our venue after AEG worked their magic, and we were completed WOWED!
These guys (and gal) are your go to for lights, custom lighting, custom back drops, floral, and more. Truly more than just your average company — they are friendly, artistic, creative, professional, and will exceed your expectations.

Great team to work with — recommended by the fabulous Phil Stefani team (Michelle D.), Tom Mamola provided a beautiful arbor with flowers for our ceremony, easels for random reception things, and he and his team set up lights for our dinner reception. This team also worked well with my DJ to ensure a great party for the dance hall. Probably most fun — this team was also able to provide confetti for our reception. amazing. Overall a very positive experience.

I recently got married in December 14 at a Gallery 1028 in the Goose Island area of Chicago. The space we rented needed a curtain to divide the space during the ceremony but, being a wedding photographer full time, I always hated the appearance of a blank curtain. We contact Tom Mamola at AEG and he had a ton of great ideas on how to dress up the space. Ultimately he provided a curtain with a tree projection on it that transformed the entire space into a winter wonderland. In addition to the tree branch projection, he also projected falling snow. During the reception, when the curtain was removed, he moved these projections to fall onto a large white space in the room. It took the space to a completely different level and was a focal point that was complemented by everyone. More important than even that, was the speed and attentiveness Tom showed in all email communication. If you’re in the middle of planning a wedding, you know how rare that is. He went above and beyond to make himself available and come up with solutions that both fit out budget and made our wedding vision a reality.

We needed lighting for our wedding, and we were looking for some creative options. We knew we wanted café lighting over the dance floor, but we also wanted a way to make our winter wedding look more «woodsy». Tom could not have been more helpful.
We ended up having him reflect tree branches onto an otherwise blank wall at our venue, and then he also made it look like snow was lightly falling. It was absolutely perfect, and he knew just how to make our vision come to life. Working with Tom and AEG was easy, and they really went above and beyond what we expected – even randomly helping us find an Amish fireplace for a lounge area. Our wedding was perfect, and we could not be more grateful!

AEG was the only lighting vendor who — after meeting with me at the venue to discuss the vision — actually built a mock display of how my café lighting could look. He then sent me photos and we agreed on the design (it was perfect, they nailed it).
They were hassle-​free, no-​nonsense, showed up right on time, set up was done in a jiff, and the lighting was magical. They were simply outstanding. You always think that the caterer or the venue steals the show — I think AEG’s lighting and John’s professionalism was the winner for our big day. It was JUST the touch our venue (Ignite Glass Studio) needed.
