Came in here after stopping by a fabricator company across the street. There was an older couple being helped by the receptionist when I entered. So I decided to just browse a little while I waited. She seemed more annoyed that I even showed up even though they have a showroom and appointments aren’t necessary. After I browsed for a while, and since she didn’t even really acknowledge me arriving (no, welcome! I’ll be with you shortly!) I just waited by the desk in case she didn’t realize I needed some assistance. She came back to the desk with the same customers and after a few minutes, looks up and says, ‘hiiii.’ not in a hi! glad to see you and thank you for waiting, but more of a hii… what do you want type of attitude. I didn’t let it faze me and i said hello rather cheerfully. then she looks up another minute later and asks if i needed something and I said, i have a few questions when she has a moment. so more waiting. when it was finally my turn, i asked if there were more quartz samples and she told me about the back room… but no explanation or anything. Just told me to check out the back room. i sometimes like to browse by myself without pressure so this was ok by me. when i came back out and asked about purchasing and recommendations for fabricator. she seemed tired and a little put off that i didn’t know how they worked. She did answer my questions even if it wasn’t the friendliest attitude and she seemed knowledgeable. Not sure if she was having an off day, or maybe annoyed that i had my baby with me in a stroller as i walked the showroom, or that i was not a contractor that could actually purchase from them, or new to the whole process. Either way, she could use some training in how to provide good customer service. The product itself looks great, but maybe they could give their receptionist a break or show her how to smile.

Very poor customer service. They cater to businesses and don’t sell directly to the public. I think that’s why they can care less if you’re not a business. I was so turned off by the rude customer service, I ended up walking out of the showroom and purchasing my tiles from Floor & Décor.

I don’t understand how a large company like this does not have anyone to answer phone calls. When you call them there are options to pick such as customer service, service for account holders, etc. well I called about 5 times and no one on any extension answered the phone! I did not want to waste my time coming here if they didn’t have the color I wanted but of course no one answered the phone during open hours to let me know so I will not be visiting this warehouse. They need to hire more receptionists because this isn’t the time I’ve tried calling.

I went on a Saturday and it was very busy and ariana was so helpful and helped me pick out my granite, there was a lot to choose from she gave me an excellent customer service.

I came here several times during my remodel (probably 5 times) and I visited a bunch of showrooms in the area. MSI by far has the best selection. I highly recommend it.

Arriella was most helpful. Staff supporting her was great. 3^rd time I’ve been using them. Nothing but professional.

I went to MS International this morning around 9:25 a.m. After reading and re-​reading some not so favorable reviews on Unilocal,I was pleasantly surprised to walk into the showroom and to have been helped right away. Arianna provided great customer service. After I signed in, she showed me around the warehouse. They have a great selection of Granite and marble. They have a good selection of Quartzite. Glad I made the trip to check out MS International.

Worst, offensively impolite customer service ever. I walked into the tile showroom and was walking around trying to figure out where to go for the slabs of granite when the representative from the tile showroom asked me «Can I help you?» and I replied, «Oh yes do you work here?» and she replied, «Well that’s why I’m staring at you»… The conversation definitely took a turn for the worse after that, but «luckily» I didn’t have to deal with her because she made it crystal clear to me that I was in the tile showroom and the countertops were through another area.
Once I arrived at the countertop area I encountered a few different people. Ben was the first person. He came off pretty helpful at first showing me the 2 colors I was looking for and then just peaced out and never returned to assist me again. He was I’d say only about 90% worthless.
Then I encountered Kathie. Kathie, Kathie, Kathie… Hmmmmmmm… She was rude, inconsiderate, unhelpful… I’m not even sure why she even works with people… it’s obvious she doesn’t like them. It’s clear that we were wasting her time and she was so kind to remind us several times that «They close promptly at 6:30PM» Hmmmmm… that’s funny because your hours say until 7PM!!! She told us that everything was on hold in the color we wanted except 2 slabs. We asked why couldn’t we look at anything in the back. and she said well how do you know about the ones in the back you’re not supposed to be back there. Hmmmmm… yes we did see the «employess only» piece of paper on a stick, but that doesn’t stop our eyes from seeing them!!! She said that we weren’t supposed to go back there and that they were all on hold, which I’m sure was a complete lie.
Ulysses was the guy that operated the crane to move slabs. He was very nice and didn’t mind other workers there treated him poorly. I felt very bad for him and the environment that he has to work in.
And last but not least… it doesn’t surprise me that MS International is not BBB accredited, they would have numerous fires to put out if they did. That is all!

I went to pick out my granite for my kitchen thinking I narrowed it down to my final choice from my selection at Home Depot. Well I was wrong, after seeing my choice in a very large slab at MSInternational I know longer liked it. Kathie (employee) was more then patient to show me others and without rushing me or pressuring me. It was hot in warehouse and it was 6pm Thursday nite, closing at 6:30 and she never made me feel like I needed to hurry. She truly wanted me to pick the granite I really admired. Great customer service. An all around organized, helpful and positive experience!!!

Fairly good selection of granite. Unhelpful employees — we knew the exact granite we were looking for, and they sent us in the completely wrong direction. Thankfully we found one of the male employees who helped us out…
We ended up leaving and found Globe Marble & Granite to be the best so far (selection and knowledgeable).

Here’s my concern, if I am going to spend $ 3000 to have a slab installed you would think you could a least look at the slab you want. I want typhoon Bordeaux so I was told on a Saturday which is their busiest day to have customers come and pick out their slabs (as most people work during the week) that they cannot move slabs because there is no one around to do so. I was also told that if I came during the week that they may not be able to move slabs either. So how am I suppose to pick out a slab??? I was brought in the back to see ends of slabs but the angle of the slabs you could not tell if it was good. It may have cracks or who knows what! upon choosing a slab I can barely see I now have to sign a paper stating if it cracks once it leaves their building its my problem, I would not have a problem with this but I cant even see the slab to tell if there are cracks or deformities. Choosing slabs are another issue. I have been to msi once a week for a month and I travel from Plainfield which is a nice ride. You cannot see half of the slabs as either they are turned backwards or have sold items left in front of the slabs you need to see. Also you put slabs in bays where do not belong so once again I cannot see the slabs or have somebody move them. Am I happy hell no we are dealing with an item that will last a lifetime. You should have people out their keeping the slabs to sell available to see. Really is this how you do business?

Worst customer service ever. My wife went in there May 5^th 2014 and was ‘helped’ by Kim. This help meant she huffed and puffed that she actually had to get someone to get real slabs out to see. She then started to flirt with her employees in front of all the other people that were standing there. Furthermore, in the middle of waiting for the slabs to arrive, she proclaimed that she will be taking lunch. My wife also speaks some Spanish, and she heard Kim making fun of the customers that were waiting for their slabs. This really felt like the worst customer service ever. My wife walked out of the place with disgust.

Agree with many of the reviews but also think it’s a good place to review a very large selection of marbles and granites. I ended up getting mine here.

The drive to MSI in Elk Grove Village is well worth it! I visited about six different places to find slabs that I liked. MSI had the largest selection by far. The place is always very busy, so don’t expect a quick trip. I worked with Manuela Torres (Mani). She was a great helped. They moved many slabs for me to find the right ones. Because of the size, they also have the best prices!

My daughter & I went here on a recent Saturday in October, 2012. We got there later than we had anticipated, but the service was outstanding. After completing the computerized form with my information, my name was called and we were presented to a very nice and well informed woman. I have to admit that I had narrowed my choices down to 3 different granite colors, and was shown all 3. Since I needed 2 slabs, I was told which 2 slabs were the same. Many slabs had to be moved to find 2 that were the same, but I was 100% pleased with the staff and ease of choices. I would recommend MSI.

We had the worst experience with this company. We were using them through home depot. The people were super rude ! i felt like i was inconveniencing them being there. They did not offer any help they just point you to the slabs and walk away. they don’t give you any prices so you have to pick your slab and then they send it to home depot. so it is a big back and fourth game. The guy that came out to measure tried to say we had more square feet then we did. Also they charge more if you don’t want seams. So after a month of going back and fourth and 5 visits to the horrible show room with rude employes we gave up and got our money back. we went with TTS granite they were GREAT there prices were WAY less. There granite was equal or better quality and they don’t charge more for seamless. (they said seams are more work for them) It took a week from start to finish with TTS.

Horrible customer service and very disorganized! First visit was a zoo on a Saturday, not enough staff to help shuffle people through with instructions on what to do. So we swore not to go back on Saturday again… second time was a Monday in the middle of the day, thinking surely we would get some help this time. Unfortunately after sitting for more than 45 minutes, after being told 30 minutes, no one could move slabs for us so we could pick out what we wanted. And they were being shifty about whether they had any in stock for us to pick in the first place — they are very large and I suspect they don’t have good inventory management either. We ended up leaving frustrated and headed down the street to another warehouse. Kudos to the poor single soul at the registration desk who was desperately trying to help us.

MS International is a natural stone location for a number of area finishers, including the Home Depot and Granite Leaders. I went there to check out the slabs and make a decision on what type of stone (as well as which finisher) to go with. The way the warehouse operates is a bit confusing if you’re not aware of the process. Basically, you come in, go to office, get a sheet of paper, someone may or may not help you around the warehouse, make notes about what you like, and write down the name of your finisher and your slab selections. They’ll rotate the stone for you so you can select the actual slab.
They do have a very large selection of different types of stone. But as a consumer this sort of process can be a little frustrating because you never know how much any thing costs as your looking (this is one of the major advantages of going with a place like Precision Stone where the two components are handled by the same company).
I was pretty independent during my visit, so the lack of help was not a huge frustration for the most part. Though it was noted. I did see a stone there that I had picked out at the Home Depot before, and it was completely different in person. So the natural variation is key, and be prepared you may not like what you see. I also checked out the color I ended up going with at MSI, and I did not like the quality of the slabs they had. There were numerous yellow streaks throughout which was uncharacteristic of this particular stone. I found out later in talking to the company I did go with (Precision Stone) that this type of yellowing is indicative of fillers used to patch the stone. I did not take that to be a good sign.

Decent selection of stone, completely useless staff. Any benefits of being able to pick out slabs of stone for your project quickly disappear at MSI. Every employee I had the misfortune of talking to was rude and some flat out ignored us.

I am getting my kitchen renovated through Home Depot. The granite chosen was being stored at MSI. Today, I went out there to pick out two slabs for my counter-​tops. MSI has a great selection of materials. It was well organized, easily to see the materials, the girl who initially assisted us was wonderful.
We were there for about an hour before making a decision. The granite wasn’t entirely what I wanted but close enough. With natural stone having so many variations, it is very difficult to get everything you want. But all in all, great selection, comfortable temperature (unlike other places where it is freezing cold, easy location to get to, and great service (if you get the right person).
