One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning

I had the company come out to diagnose a problem that we were having with air conditioner noise in our 3 flat. Each unit has an air conditioner, and when they went on they were vibrating the deck, which we can hear in our bedroom. Because it’s 3 units, we had to get a guy to come out and figure it out when everyone was home. That proved challenging. When Frank finally came out, he was prompt, ontime, courteous, and thoroughly professional. He diagnosed the problem at once. We needed vibration dampers.
I had a coupon for a free service call (that I got through the website, so it only cost us the material cost of the dampers he put under one of the units. That cost was pretty high ($ 60), but because the service call was free, I thought it was a fair price. He didn’t have any more vibration dampers, so rather than having him come back and install them we ordered them online for $ 18.
Overall, I thought, with the coupon the price was fair, but if the coupon hadn’t been in play, I think $ 60 is a lot to install 4 pieces of foam that cost $ 18.
I’d definitely call them again, because I felt like Frank was super knowledgable.

We’ve been with One Hour Heating & AC for many years since we’ve only had good experiences with their care of our HVAC unit. Frank was our technician yesterday and was very knowledgeable and professional. He explained things that would help us have a more efficient and clean system and suggested a newer type of filter that would do a better job or to install an air cleaner system at a higher expense but would eliminate over 90% of dust & allergens. He was neat, clean and very courteous. High recommended!

This is the third time we have had One Hour service our two air conditioners or two furnaces. The are easy to set up appointments with and keep you appraised of when they will be there. Their service is impeccable and they always leave everything clean and tidy. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs routine or emergency service for air conditioners or furnaces. there membership club is a great deal wish I had know about it sooner.

I had them come out to repair the furnace when it had stopped working a few months ago, they were fast and knowledgeable. I also had them install a new thermostat, I was interested in the Nest thermostat, but they didn’t recommend it so I chose a different. The only thing I am iffy about is the warranty that is $ 15 per month. They will come out two more times to inspect the furnace and AC unit, just not sure if it’s a good deal yet.

Office is friendly. Techs are knowledgeable and present themselves and the repairs in a way that you select what you want done.

Easy to schedule. Frank is outstanding! Nice to see a familiar face that knows my system well. Have been a customer for many years.

I was initially happy with how quickly they could get someone to my house when our furnace stopped working on a Saturday. However we then noticed the employee in our basement had called our landlord (we rent the home) without even notifying us. They asked for her info initially but we said we would pay all charges. Our landlord of course was freaking out. She is elderly and lives in the west coast so it was very early where she was. Had he even given us the courtesy of letting us know he wanted to call her we could have told him this info and call her ourself. Bad service in my opinion and the we were stuck paying 109 in service fee because she was mad and wanted to call a different HVAC company.
UPDATE: After reading my review they called and apologized for the error that occurred since we stated we would pay for the charges. They said they would shred the check and the service would be no charge. To me that completely rectifies the situation and how a business should be run. THANK YOU!

Andy and Ed worked literally all day to thoroughly clean and seal all of our ducts, resulting in a massive reduction in air flow leakage, and hopefully my heating and cooling bill! Very friendly and professional staff. Every time I or they call whoever it is on the phone is genuinely friendly and warm.

My family had been a loyal customer of One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning in Elk Grove since 2007. We have spent tens of thousands of dollars with them and today, they confirmed that their computer system shows all transactions dating back to 2007. For nine years we’ve been on a program called ‘friends & family’ which was linked to our nanny — who was friends with the owner and convinced us to switch our business to One Hour of Elk Grove.
Suddenly, after our bi-​annual service call this week, the friends & family program could not be found in their computer system. Today, I spoke with a woman in customer service who found the history of our participation in this program. She told me that someone in accounting would call to issue the appropriate credit. When that person called — suddenly — she could not find any record of our participation in the program. After being given an absolute run-​around, the «operations manager». .. Carl. .. got on the phone.
Carl was rude and told me that One Hour has no record of my participation in the friends & family program. His implication was that we were «not being honest». When I told him that our participation had been confirmed just 20 minutes earlier by one of their customer service people — he immediately said that One Hour was not interested in doing business with me any longer — and hung up the phone. Frankly, Carl was unprofessional, rude, insulting and lacked the ability to have an intelligent conversation. After remaining loyal to this business for nine years, this is how they treat their customers? I guess Carl really showed me.
We have three air-​conditioning Units on our home and was about to purchase another replacement Unit during our previously scheduled April 6 appointment. For certain, I will never do business with this company again. My strong recommendation is to stay away from companies that don’t respect their customers. To be certain, Carl and One-​Hour Heating & Air Conditioning in Elk Grove lack integrity and don’t care about customers. It must be nice to enjoy the luxury of not needing your customers. Stay away from this company.

I was very impressed with the thoroughness of their inspection. They also know how to deliver a great customer experience. The technician Mike was very professional and knowledgeable and explains everything as he goes through the inspection. I really can’t say enough about their great customer service. From now on, I’m using One Hour! Highly recommend!

These guys are awesome! I found them through Angie’s List when we moved into our new home last spring. They are helpful over the phone and easy for scheduling. We’ve had the same service person, Jeff, several times and he’s great. Straightforward and transparent about work needing to be done and suggests best fix available. We bought the service plan and its already paid for itself to cover the basic upkeep for the year.
