V V Nails

I was a faithful customer for 2 years before I got sick of their poor service and unprofessional nail designs. I would make appointments and still wait 30 mins or more. The simple nail designs I asked for were sloppy and unprofessional. I will not be returning.

It’s really annoying that you make an appointment a week ahead of time and they still don’t honor it. I’m pretty sure the person who got helped ahead of me was just someone who comes in more often than me. Sure I can’t afford to get a manicure every week, but I do come in every month or two and my business is good as anyone else’s. My appointment was at 5:30 today and I finally just got up and left after sitting with my feet and water for 35 minutes. I tell you they could not have cared any less than they did.

VV Nails will always be my go-​to because of the 6 minute walk and 2 minute drive needed for me however, I am starting to become less and less impressed the more I visit.
I have been a regular (getting a acrylic fill and pedicure every 3 – 4 weeks) for a few years now. My experience in previous years has been pleasant — I am typically seated right away at a pedicure massage chair, the ladies have been accommodating and they get the job done. I don’t receive any fancy treatment because I am continuously getting a solid nail color on both my hands and feet and choose to purchase the regular pedicure option.
VV Nails just recently went through a total renovation and expansion and I feel that’s where things started going downhill as far as service and quality.
Nowadays, you MUST make a reservation and/​or call ahead to get any sort of recognition or service right away (or relatively soon). I’ve made the mistake too many times now where I’ve had to literally sit for an hour and a half for someone to seat me somewhere. This is a bit strange considering they’ve EXPANDED. There are actually several seating options but not nearly enough employees. Because of the booming business and lack of staff, the welcome greetings have stopped, the communication isn’t there and the work being done is severely rushed.
One thing that has really irked me lately has been the confusion and lack of cooperation regarding service. It seems as though any time I ask to cut my nails shorter (after they decided what length to give me), not apply a top coat, etc. I get asked «Why?» or someone looks at me with disgust. I remain calm and respectful but the choice isn’t THEIRS to decide what YOU want, right?
Sadly, I would have most definitely given VV Nails 4 – 5 stars if the service remained the same (I can get over a little bit of a wait) but instead I have given it 3 stars only because the owners, Jason and Vivian are extremely nice people and do an excellent job even when there are 10+ customers waiting or being worked on. I’m not sure if they’re in the process of hiring more staff or making it required for reservations but it seems no matter what kind of weather, what day of the week or what time of day, VV Nails is swamped.
I will still remain a customer however, I will most definitely make sure to call ahead.

I’ve been to this place in the past before they renovated. I haven’t been back since until today. Rita is awesome! She takes her time and makes sure your nails turn out great. She even drys your no chip one finger at a time to make sure it comes out good. The place is gorgeous! This will be my go to from now on.

I am in love with this place. I am hours from leaving for vacation and did not like how my nails were done yesterday by another business. Vee took me right away this morning… fixed not only the polish issues but also fixed how flat my nails looked before. She worked so fast and i was amazed at how she answered phone calls, greeted everyone walking in and took care of me at the same time. The place filled up pretty quick this morning but you could tell these were regulars and they were happy to be there… even if there was a wait. I will definately be coming back.

LOVE this nail salon. Gorgeous, clean, relaxing environment. All of the artists pay strong attention to detail. I definitely recommend!!!

It’s been a long time since I found a nail tech who was so meticulous and creative. I went to VV for the first time and had my nails done by Windy. She was great, she took her time, and did not try to rush through the service. She also collaborated with me on the design and was very patient with me (I am insanely picky about my nails). Prices were pretty average, and the salon was super clean. I did not make an appt and as a walk in did not have to wait at all and this is mid day on a Sunday. Glad to have found this place, and I would definitely recommend it.

Best nail salon in elk Grove village. Lots of options, very clean and sanitary. I have been going here since they opened. I have tried other places but, I always come back for the quality and service.

I went here after being given a gift card by my boyfriends sister because she wasn’t going to use it.
I won’t be coming back. I was going to call and talk to the manager but coming here only made me realize how much I love my nail place.
I tried to tell this girl who was doing my nails that 3 of my nails were broken and needed to be taken off she didn’t listen to today while shopping all three of those bails broke and to top it’s all off, my real nail had green brown fungus on it! YOUVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!
If i could leave no stars I would! I’ve never in my whole damn life had his happen to me! They didn’t have a place to wash my hands I’ve been getting my nails done since I was like 12. I currently 23 let’s be honestly this place is a joke.
Beware when coming here. Your nails will probably look like mine… I had to take all my nails off to make sure they were okay that’s what j get for trusting other people to do my nails.

I went there once and did not come back. My nails were just okay. I didn’t get the name of my technician because she never introduced herself. The service was the worst actually. She seemed very angry, didn’t talk at all and when she asked me things about how i would like my nails it seemed like she was so annoyed. I didn’t feel welcome and was feeling very uncomfortable the whole time, it was a dreading experience not a relaxing one.

I visited here three times, all of which left me disappointed and more than slightly put off.
The first time, I received a pedicure that was rushed and clumsily done. This was by the owner herself, which was surprising. I suspected she was very busy, so I came back, giving the salon the benefit of the doubt.
The second time, I received their highly acclaimed «dipped nails.» The color I chose was light pink, but this turned out as an obnoxious faded fushia on my nails that Jason never bothered to address. I also did not receive a hand massage, despite giving him a generous tip, and he sat there watching videos on his phone for 10 minutes while my nails dried.
The third time, I made an appointment for noon. I was waiting almost 40 minutes before I was actually seen… why make an appointment, then? The technician, Angel, was friendly, but she did a poor job on my no-​chip manicure. Getting a no-​chip at a new place it always a bit of a gamble, and within two days, two of my nails already started chipping at the tips. She was probably my best interpersonal experience but lowest quality of nails.
I think it is safe to say I gave the salon enough chances and will not be returning. Their attentiveness is so poor, I am surprised this particular salon received the high ratings that it did.

I absolutely love vv nails. I’ve been a loyal customer for 8 years and wouldn’t choose to go anywhere else. Besides the fact that they offer over 200 no chip manicure colors, they are always nice and know who my mom, my friends and I are. I always refer people here and always will!

I have been going to VV Nails since they opened the doors! I’ve had both Vivians do my nails and pedicures along with others, I love Lan for pedicures! I have never had a problem and have always been very happy with them!

What a great nail salon. My first time here and they opened up a bag of tools for my no-​chip. I love that everything was fresh and sterilized right from a bag, as if I was at the dentist. The girl who did my nails was very nice and I never felt like they were talking about me or anyone else in the salon like we all feel like at other salons. I don’t get my nails done often but when I need them done again, i won’t go anywhere except here. I also have been telling everyone of my experience and already have brought them some new customers.

Love this place. I have always gotten the best pedicures from them. I absolutely love the dipping nails as well. It really save your nails.
They really take their time with the customers. Jason and Viv are awesome!
Hint: If you don’t want to wait, make an appointment. They get really busy.

I felt llike this salon simply not clean (manicure stations crusted with leftover powder cutcle nipper stashed in drawer didnt come from sterilizer), I came here because they do powder no chip manicure. I wil not return. No hand massage or moisturizer, technician «picked» at excess color on my skin with his nails. I will keep looking for a salon uses this process

I have been going to VV Nails for years along with a lot of my friends and family — and there is a reason we keep going back! I always have a good experience when I am there, and Vivian and Jason are some of the most wonderful business owners you’ll meet! They have great employees as well; you really can’t go wrong with whoever’s chair you sit in. They offer a ton of services (waxing and eyelash extensions on top of all of their nail services), and we always leave happy with our results. I can’t recommend them enough!

I went on 4÷30÷15 I had my nails done by Vivan and Mom did my pedicure. They are the nicest nail place I have ever been too. They are very friendly in the shop. I have never had a had experience in there. I give them 5 stars

The staff is very friendly and as a regular they remember your name! I feel it is very clean, and you even get your own box with tools (for free!). I feel its a well managed place, and I enjoy coming here and bringing my friends here as well!
