Worst customer service. The Waitor Steve never came by to see how our meal is or if we needed any refills. Next we ordered a appetizer. Now I thought a appetizer is suppose to come out before the meal. Nope our appetizer came out after we had finished our meal and when i was ready to pay. Also the portions has gotten a lot smaller definitely went home hungry. I orderded the new chicken shrimp burbon, chicken was dry way to salty the shrimp was way over cooked and was rubbery. All you could taste was the peppercorn and salt. Several times I tried to get the attention of one of the employees but every single 1 ignored us. They were to BUSYSOCIALIZINGANDPLAYINGAROUND. This experience was a waste of 37.89. Do not waste your time eating here. WHEREISCHEFFRAMSEYBECAUSETHISSTORENEEDSHELP911

I thought that this place has improved by previous experience within the last 6 months. We were so wrong. We in for happy hour last Friday. Appetizers came out and we didn’t have our utensils yet so use our fingers. Lemon never came with our waters even though we asked 2x. Steak was ok. Mashed potatoes were good. Menu offered sauteed spinach on one entrée but when I asked to get it instead of the mixed veggies, waiter said they don’t offer that. We used our credit card to pay. Made it to come charge exactly $ 40 which included his tip. When the charge finally went through Monday morning from Applebee’s, the waiter added more to his tip. So we went in today and talked to a manager and she fixed it by giving us the difference back in cash. She apologized but didn’t offer anything else for our time and the action by their waiter. Alot of people wouldn’t notice that their are waiters/waitresses who do this at restaurants. I don’t know how they still have jobs stealing money like this with credit card charges. This is definitely the last straw for Applebee’s for me and my family. It would of been nice to have offered an appetizer or something to have us come back… but nope.

Love Applebee’s but we had the worst service tonight. Our waiter name Monique gave us the worst service ever! She left us waiting to take our order we had to order on the little screen they have on the tables and ended up ordering our appetizers with the bar tender she never asked if we were doing okay she didn’t even give us forks. I saw her come up to her other tables to ask if everything was okay. I appreciate the service the bar tender and the other waiter gave us! This is not to make her look bad but I believe she needs to give the same service to all her customers. We where expecting to have a good time.

Went with a party of 9 people over lunch. The server was very nice, but the kitchen must have been in shambles. Arrived at 11:00AM and did not leave until 12:45PM, and NOT because we were having fun. It took a long time for the orders to arrive. When they did, the pasta dishes were overcooked and the salads had no dressing. The poor server ran back to the kitchen to bring out sidecars of dressing, but this brought further delays since he was tasked with numerous tables and the kitchen output was very slow. Understaffed«front of the house» and a kitchen in obvious disarray did not result in a good experience.

I’ve been to this location multiple times. Today’s experience lead me to write this review. As I approached the front door the manager«Kira» or «Kia» pulled a group of her employees to the front to talk. Just walking in the place the vibe was tense. She looks at me as I walk up to the door and says«have a seat someone will be with you». 5 minutes later they all walk inside. She walks up to the podium looks at me and my date says«party of 2, lets go, come on, now, we’re ready» I look at her and say this couple next to us was here before us. She continues and says rudely«no, your party of 2 lets go». So my date and I walk up and follow her. She gives us our menu we sit down. Minutes later our waiter a sweet young man takes our order. He was only pleasant face amongst the Applebee staff. I order a drink and my date orders a margarita. Minutes later this lady«Kira» or «Kia» comes up to our table and her exact words are«aye the margarita did you want that one the rocks or blended?» AYE? I didn’t correct her on how she was talking to me and how she was so very rude from the second I walked in the door for the reason bc I was starving and didn’t want to drive to another restaurant although I wanted to, and I didn’t want anyone spitting or anything in our food for us correcting her. Therefore we continued with our dinner. The food was decent, it’s Applebee’s you can’t really complain. Our waiter was awesome. After I asked for our check I asked our waiter if this«Kira» or «Kia» lady was another waiter? He said she was one of the managers for the night. NOWONDERTHISPLACEIS A MESS. THEMANAGERHERSELFDOESN’T HAVETHESLIGHTLYCLUEONHOWTOTREATCUSTOMERSTHENHOWDOESSHEEXPECTHERSTAFFTO? That’s the reason she had to pull her group aside to have a talk. This lady was not nice, had an attitude, never once smiled or said thank you. This whole time I thought she was another waiter. Come on now Kira get it together. If you can’t handle stress and managing your employees, if the busy room filled with customers gets you so frustrated that you can’t respect, talk and smile at your customers then maybe you should look for another career maybe somewhere less stressful. If you can’t treat your customers the way they should be treated your staff wouldn’t know how to either. I’m a customer not your friend, you don’t approach me saying«aye did you want your drink on the rocks or blended». Hire someone who can manage this place Applebee’s, the reviews for this location is horrible, I wonder way…

Food was ok. They’re not very generous when it comes to giving fries with my burger also I was in a party of 5 only 3 of us got our food the other 2 got their food 30 min later. A child in are party order nachos with just the cheese on them and when we asked if they were coming out soon the waitress went to check on them and said they made them with all the stuff on them and when they did bring them out it still had everything on them they took off as much as they could hoping we would think they made new nachos.

Unbelievable! Sat at the bar and watched them pour lagunitas with at least 2 inches of foam. Asked them to correct it and was told that is how they are trained and they cannot fill the glass… I thought they were kidding. Not! There are too many good places to get great beer in Sacramento — so stick to the 2 for $ 20 menu and drink elsewhere. Where they actually pour a decent glass of beer…

This place is great! Great food and environment was amazing. We felt comfortable dinning in and our server was helpful. This message outside is for the manager on the floor, kia. She was super friendly and quick to respond on our need. We will be back soon! Thank you Kia for being helpful.

I’ve always enjoyed Applebee’s, especially this location in Elk Grove which is tucked away behind hobby lobby and Ross. Today’s visit was no exception, our waitress Juliet was on it complete with fast refills and our check at check out. We ordered the 2 for $ 20 deal and hubby had the lime chicken and rice with cranberries, which I thought sounded like an odd combo but happened to be quite tasty! And his chicken was hands down the most tender and moist chicken I have ever eaten. My husband said it was so juicy it almost fell apart like fish. I ordered the basic burger and fries, I know, not that exciting! The burger was perfectly pink! We also ordered buffalo chicken wings as our side! All-in-all a perfect lunch date!

We had barbeque chicken for appetizers, steak & veggies, and the fried shrimp with French fries/Cole slaw salad for our main. The chicken appetizers was drenched in barbeque(good) but it was lukewarm, border lining cold. My french fries were stale and cold. The fried shrimp was alright. Kinda salty though. My boyfriend’s steak was cooked medium well and he was satisfied with it. I think that was the best actually. The poor broccoli on the side though, was boiled to oblivion. Overall, the food was«meh.» It was definitely a hit or miss. Okay I know it’s getting late(11 pm), but just because it’s getting late does not mean you need to cut corners and serve your customers cold, stale food. Nonetheless, the total cost was only $ 20 for all. Not bad but not great either. Besides that, our server looked a bit overwhelmed but was for the most part attentive. Not sure if I’ll head back to this place though.

One star is generous. The chips delivered with the dip, were all broken– impossible to dip with. The honey pepper chicken came without the honey pepper– which made them… chicken strips. The 4 cheese Mac n cheese was served cold, and tasted canned. The cole slaw was the worst my husband has ever had. He said it tasted like a wet dish rag. The waitress, while being efficient– bringing glass after glass after glass of iced tea– and happy to correct the problems… was in too big of a hurry to notice unhappy customers at the table.

My husband and i choose to go here for a new Happy Hour and Appetisers. They didnt have a big choice with mixed drinks. But they defiantly had a $ 6 – 8 dollar yummy looking drink on the hour table menu. So we ordered 2 draft beer coors light. Nothing special by far. So for our appetisers we ordered the fried wonton chicken taco. They were very good airy and light. They were tasty. Now for the menu choices they were slim to none and like i said earlier everything else we ordered were ok the spinich and artichoke dip was ok but they put salsa in a plastic dish the size of your pinky. Taking chances to spill as you have to pour. Its gonna happen. And ribs great for 2 childre. So i probably wouldnt go back for Happy Hour. Im gonna try their dinner specials.

I usually don’t dine at Applebee’s because there are so many other restaurants to choose from in the Elk Grove area. However, this time I decided to try the Happy Hour out since I saw many television commercials about their ½ price apps late afternoon(3−6pm) and late night(9pm to close). First of all, scanning the menu, I saw Long Island Teas at a much reduced price and that sounded good since I was on the thirsty side. Much to my surprise, it was served in a huge glass probably around 20 – 24 ounces. Not being a heavy drinker, I figured one of these would be plenty! It was excellent with just the right amount of liquor. I ordered the ½ price apps next. First was the Spinach & Artichoke Dip which was excellent and the only drawback was that the chips were a little small probably because they were bigger but got broken into smaller pieces. Ordered the Grilled Chicken WonTon Tacos which were WonTon shells that were filled with grilled chicken bites and cole slaw and cilantro. A nice take on an asian/mexican fusion theme. The Boneless Chicken Wings were very good also, nice and crispy. I opted for a Ranch Dressing which suited me. From the time I entered the restaurant, I encountered smiling faces. The young gentleman and young lady that met me at the door were both very cordial and seated me promptly in the bar area. My server, Kayla, was absolutely the best. Very friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, and always going the extra distance to make me feel important. Qualities that sometimes are missing but definitely present here at Applebee’s. If you are like me and have not been there for a while, check them out. You won’t be disappointed.

When I was in high school, Applebee’s was the place to be! That was about 5 years ago, and a lot has changed. I definitely prefer this location to the one near Arden, but the food is subpar. They have new menus that look much sleeker, as if they are trying to shift from a cheap franchise bar and grill to a more upscale bar and grill, if that makes sense. They also have added a 2 for $ 25 in addition to their 2 for $ 20. You can mix and match and it’ll turn into a 2 for $ 22. I ordered the sirloin and my boyfriend ordered the honey pasta with chicken tenders. We chose the spinach and artichoke dip for our appetizer. The food was okay. What stood out the most was the smaller portions of food that we received. Apparently, upscale franchise bar and grill translates into considerably smaller portions. The drinks during happy hour are cheaply priced, however, and will probably be the only reason for my return. On the bright side, the customer service was good.

Been here a few times for their late night Sunday Happy Hour. I love Applebee’s HH, honestly one of my favorites. CHEAP drinks that get you feelin GOOD! Always had great services from the waitresses I had. They’re helpful, informative and nice! You can order on their tablets that are connected to the table or you can play games! I always tend to mess up on my electronic orders– but the waitress verifies everything before the order goes in– thank god!

Starting to like where technology takes us. Something new that I’ve never seen before is this touch screen device that can be used to order your food, drinks, and dessert. You also have the option to pay too at your own time and convenience. They also have a button to ring the server, sadly I did not get to abuse it this time… :P What I love about this is that you don’t have to wait for a server to come around to take your order. Although the device can replace the server’s duty, we still got an attentive server that would check on us if we had any questions or needed anything that we might be missing. So it’s convenient to have a little of both. If you prefer getting your order taken by a person, there’s still that option, or you can just electronically send in your order the second you are ready to make it. I love coming here for the late night happy hour. Love getting a decent long island while snacking on their buffalo boneless wings for less than $ 10. I don’t come here for their entrée because honestly I feel better off eating those dish elsewhere but I absolutely don’t mind the appetizers here.

We usually make our own bourbon steak and really good too, we saw Applebee’s had it on the menu, so we decided to try it. Steak need to be sear more and need more black pepper, we make better steak then they are :( Boneless wings had to much breading :(
