History

Established in 2004.

Open to the public in August 2004, The Wackford Community and Aquatic Complex is located next to Laguna Community Park, on the corner of Bruceville Road and Big Horn Blvd. It was named after Barbara Morse Wackford, the CSD’s first Parks and Recreation Administrator, 2002 Elk Grove Citizen of the Year and California Parks and Recreation Society’s Hall of Fame inductee.
