My name is Chris Bowers, I was born in 1984. I am the owner/operator of Bowers Detailing Service. Bowers Detailing was started on a bicycle in 1998, when my father Mel Bowers, who owns Bowers Plumbing Service in Sonoma County; saw an opportunity for me to make some money to go out and have fun with friends and buy a car. During that year, Mt. Saint Helens blew and cast ash all over everyone’s vehicle. He gave me a bucket, car wash soap, and some towels and told me to go door to door and let people know, that I would be happy to clean the ash off their vehicles. He said to charge $ 5 for cars and $ 10 for trucks. I did. I came home at the end of the weekend with about $ 300 and was hooked! Over the years I continued this and eventually had repeat customers :)
I later bough my first car with the money that I had earned, it was 1985 325e BMW. I have a huge passion for what I do and take much pride in it. I never get tired of hearing my customers say «Wow! It looks like I just bought it!»
