I called Steve because his phone number was the first that came up when I Googled a tree removal service in my area. After speaking with him, I didn’t need to call anyone else, everything about him was amazing. He gave me a great quote, was very professional, and provided me with a clear contract to ease my fears after I agreed to use his service. The following morning, Steve and his crew arrived timely then removed my huge tree in under an hour. Once the job was complete, they cleaned the area around the tree very well. I would recommend Steve and his company over and over again. One word… wonderful. :)

After calling several tree companies and getting several estimates Steve price was by far the best. Today He cut the trees and several bushes I had. After the job was done he made sure my back yard was spotless. He was very polite and kind. I highly recommend

Called Steve at Elk Grove Tree for an estimate to have some work done, and he came out at his first opportunity to discuss scope of work, quoted price, and we scheduled to have the job performed. They were prompt, prepared, professional, courteous, and accomplished the task and cleaned up afterwards. I called Steve today because I was in DESPERATE need of a tree trimmer. He first told me he was booked solid for the next 5 days. After explaining my horror story to him, he told me he could come the same day to give me an estimate; however, he couldn’t actually come out and do the work for a few days. I agreed on the estimate and, when he showed up, agreed it couldn’t wait. He actually trimmed it (by himself!) right then and there, and for a VERY reasonable price! Highly recommended! Saw them working on a tree down the street and they were able to fit us in right afterward. In just over an hour our huge tree with giant limbs hanging over the house was beautifully trimmed, and the yard was completely cleaned up. They even went above and beyond cleaning our gutters for no additional charge. So glad I called them!

We had a HUGE tree with deep roots that was starting to affect things on our property. We also had a palm tree that needed to be taken out and a lot of palm tree and bush trimming that needed to be done. I called Steve and asked him for an estimate. He quoted me a really really reasonable price and he and his crew spent hours, chopping down the big tree, taking out the stump and grinding it out, chopping the stump into usable firewood, taking out the palm tree, and trimming all the bushes in my backyard. I am incredibly impressed with the quality of their work, the excellent customer service, and the total amount of professionalism exhibited by Steve and his crew.

Called Elk Grove Tree Inc last week, and Steve came out a few days later to give us an estimate. Having never had our trees professionally trimmed, we weren’t sure what to expect, but the estimate was well in line with our hopes. Steve and his crew were back later the same week to do the job. They were all friendly, and extremely efficient. We have planters and decorative items near our trees, and although I began to move things out their way, they quickly took over. They covered our landscape lighting to prevent damage and took great care as they worked. An actual arborist did all the trimming (bonus!) Steve was on site the entire time, answering questions and educating me on the specifics of our trees. When they were done, they cleaned up thoroughly, leaving minimal mess, just a few seeds from our palm trees really. There wasn’t even a lot of debris in the pool, which I thought would be unavoidable. They were in and out in about 45 minutes. We didn’t bother with multiple estimates, because we had a good feeling about Steve from the get-​go, but even if you have multiple bids and his price is a bit higher, I would still go with Elk Grove Tree. Great bunch of guys!

I had a few trees that needed to be brought down. I looked into doing it myself, because I thought a service would too expensive. On a lark, I called Elk Grove Tree inc and was promptly called back after leaving a message. The next day, Joe came out and he quickly and correctly pointed out which trees HAD to go and which ones could stay. One tree that I thought should go, he pointed out was worth keeping. That was a good sign!
Two days later, the whole crew was on site and got the job done in just a few hours. It was a great experience, and a further testament to the great Unilocal reviewers on here.

Spoke to Steve on the phone and he was extremely helpful. I needed tree stumps for a Science project for my second grade class and Steve took the time to find more than I needed. His donation to my class will take our Science lesson to a whole new level! He took the time out of his busy schedule to deliver them to my home. Who does that? Steve does!
On top of that, I was not home and my husband met him. My husband said he was very friendly, professional, and helpful. He said he got «Great vibes» from him. Because of that, my husband and I will be going through Elk Grove Tree Inc for future work on the trees in our front yard. My students and I thank you!

Had a tree fall on the property with the recent storm and damaged our neighbor’s gutter. Steve came the next day to remove the tree and trim up a potential tree that could cause more damage. Steve is responsive and has great follow-​through. Price was reasonable and he was accommodating with my schedule. Would HIGHLY recommend Steve and his crew!

Due to the drought, a large tree branch fell on our fence. We called Elk Grove Tree and Steve was at our house within an hour for the estimate. He gave us a great estimate for the removal of 2 large trees and a few large shrubs, showed us all of his licenses and insurance cards and even gave us a few tips to save money off of our estimate. Steve and his crew showed up at 8:30 am the next day and the shrubs and trees were cut in less than 2 hours. The stumps will be removed once we clear out some of the roots and rocks around the stumps (a tip from Steve that saved us $ 300). Steve is very personable and reliable and his company is the only one we know that has a stand-​by stump removal service just in case any extra roots are found later on. We know who we will go to for any more tree issues.

I used to have a landscaper trimmed my Palm trees. He died and I found it difficult finding someone who would maintain them. The height of the trees and the fact that sometimes it is difficult to dispose of the palms made several tree companies deny me service or jack up their prices so I wouldn’t want their business.
I met Steve about a month and a half ago. I found him friendly and knowledgeable. He offered to trim the three trees for a reasonable price. I was happy.
Yesterday, Steve and his crew came out to trim the trees. The crew worked quickly and efficiently. I was extremely happy that Steve also trimmed the trees in my front yard for a little extra. They did great work, for an awesome price, and they were polite and friendly.

I read some reviews on Tree Removal services, and decided to give Elk Grove Tree a try. I’m glad I did. The owner came by the same day, and made an appointment to have his crew come and remove our tree the next day. The one who did most of the cutting is an actual arborist with many years of expertise. The owner was very pleasant to work with, and quoted us a fair price. I would hire them again. His workers completed the job, and did a great job on cleanup — they even used a leaf blower to clean off our nearby sidewalks when they were done.

Sometimes the smaller company is a better choice. Steve, owner and operator of Elk Grove Tree (or can be found on here as Sacramento Tree), is a hardowrking professional. I did my research and contacted three tree service companies in total, two located in Elk Grove. Elk Grove Tree gave us the best vibe: he had good, reliable refererences, A+ Better Business Bureau standing, and positive reviews on a few local home improvement forums. We had a giant tree in our front yard that the previous home owners just ignored. It had started to show signs of wanting to rip up our driveway, played host to bees and mistletoe. We have one small child and a baby on the way, so bees were unacceptable. After a trim last year, we decided to remove the three with the possibility of planting something else in the future. Steve’s quote was a definite value, work was completed in under two hours to remove a giant tree, and clean up was adequate. We even hit a potential snafu with one of our neighbors, but everything turned out great. Definitely have already referred him to a few of our coworkers and family members and will continue.

Elk Grove Tree did a great job. We needed trees trimmed back and thinned out for their health. The arborist explained exactly what he was going to do and why he was going to do it that way. I appreciated that. Great clean up too. We would use them again.

Steve and company were working on my neighbor’s trees and he came over to introduce himself. He showed me where my trees were going to cause problems, which I had noticed before, and gave me a very good price to do the job while he was right next door. They did more than he said they would and if I was «in the dough» I would have tipped them greatly. But the price was what I could afford to save my husband’s back and get it done now, and it was well worth the modest charge. The work was excellent, leaving the area clean and leaf free. I will call them next year for the next touch up.
