We use only the best shampoos for your pet here… oatmeal based which is great for dogs with dry or itchy skin.

We also offer deshedding treatments which really do work!

Always clean ears, pluck ears, trim nails and express anal glands on every dog, unless you ask us not to.

History

Established in 2009.

This shop used to be the old Canine Clipper, however the owner, Linda Marley was employed here when it was Canine Clipper and chances are, if you came when it was Canine Clipper, she knows your pet.

Canine Clipper was sold in early 2009 and Linda then opened the shop as her own, Bubbles & Bones.

The shop itself has been here at this great location for approximately 15 years.

Linda has been in the pet grooming business since she was 18 years old.

She began as a bather at Diamond Dog grooming off of Folsom Blvd. and La Riviera drive. The owner of Diamond Dog, Karen Leardini taught her how to groom while she was bathing .

Linda has worked in many shops all over Sacramento and Elk Grove including, Campus Commons pet grooming, Animal Den, Del Paso grooming, Petsmart, and of course Canine Clipper .

Her main goal is to ensure that your pet gets the best grooming and has the best experience here and WANTS to come back.

BEST GROOMERS IN ELK GROVE! I think this may be under new management. I recall them being named differently. They accomodated me at the last minute and fit both my dogs in for a full service groom. I have taken my dogs to a few groomers around town and in Sacramento. Never have i had service like this. I love them! My poor yorkies had been months without grooming and they came out looking BEAUTIFULLY and like TWINS. No one had ever done that for me. They truly care and love each pet that come in. Gigi and Koko have now found a forever groomer. I especially love the fact that i called at 1130am and they said on a Saturday they were full but would fit both in if i came in 30mins. I was there at noon and they were done by 3pm! AMAZING. Thank you !!!

I absolutely love the staff! I reduced my little man Charlie and he was in really bad shape (outgrown hair, over grown nails, ear infection and just all around needed love) I dropped him off and when I came back to get him my little Charlie looked like a whole new dog. The staff was knowledgeable and knew exactly what I wanted. They were patient with him and took their time. I will be bringing him back for regular grooming. Highly recommen

I took my little guy in this week, it was his second time here. He needed everything badly bath to paws trimmed. It didn’t take them long at all and he smelled and looked amazing! My daughter and I were so happy when we got to see his little face. Katie also gave me a helpful tip about asking for her next time, so he becomes a little more comfortable, the way he looked when she was done, I will always ask for her from now on! Thanks again Katie, I couldn’t be happier, we will see you in a few months!

This is the most disgusting dog grooming place I have ever been to! First My Dog came home with fleas. Second They Messed up his hair cut so bad! They also cut him on his belly and then still tired to charge me for it! Not to mention it doesn’t look like they have ever cleaned the placed. Awful groomers I will never go back!

Came in to ask questions and I wanted to look around and the girl at frist was like why I told her I wanted to see how all pets are treated and if they was Clean enough even tho the guy I seen cutting a dog he had all kinds of tattoos all over his body and that right there was a red flag to me so I lift

Took my two dogs there I took them in at 9 am didn’t get them back until 5 pm. They were super sloppy left my dog all uneven and his eye was super red I took him into the vet the said it was a combo of irritation/​head trauma I can’t imagine what they put my baby through will not be going back they seemed unprofessional sloppy they need to get it together

NEVER AGAIN.
When I first got my new puppy (a Shih Tzu/​Yorkie mix) a little over a year ago, I wanted to find a good local groomer (not a big box coporate pet store). I had been told that Bubbles & Bones was the place to go in Elk Grove. So I went in and made my puppy’s first appointment.
I had a bad feeling when I walked in to make the appointment, the place seemed dirty and unorganized and not inviting at all. But I was here on a friend’s recommendation, so I decided not to judge a book by its cover. BIG MISTAKE. I got a phone call telling me that they were unable to groom her because she was vicious and unable to sit still. Okay, I figured she just needed to take it slow, maybe I could bathe her at home to get her used to being handled, etc. Nope. While I have no actual proof, I believe that something terrible happened to my little puppy at Bubbles and Bones. No longer was she a sweet little dog, she would now snap and bite every time I tried to pet her or rub her belly or anything! 2 other groomers also had the same problem.
I have since found a wonderful groomer in town that took the time and worked with her slowly to the point where she now LOVES the groomer.
STAY AWAY FROM BUBBLES AND BONES!!!

My pup needed to be groomed ASAP and they squeezed me in! The price was reasonable at 45 dollars for cut bath and brush and my pup came back clean and smelled great! Though they did miss some spots but c’mon, you can’t expect a dog’s cut to be perfect. This was my first time and it won’t be my last. Thank you!!!

Ok, so I came to Unilocal to find a sound groomer for my rescue Lhasa Apso. I have never had a long haired dog before so needing a groomer is a new thing for me.
Let me start by informing folks that this is no longer Bubbles and Bones, it is Karma Pet Grooming with completely different owners. Same phone number and address though.
I called and made a same day appointment. Took my dog in and the groomer wrote my name, phone number, my dog’s name and breed on an index card. 2 – 3 hours was the estimated time for completion.
They were done in time, but the cut wasn’t great. I was told that he was not all too cooperative with his legs being trimmed and he was trying to nibble at them. They were very nice about it and explained that he just has to get used to it. The hair on his head was not even and the overall body was on the choppy side.
While it wasn’t a terrible experience I will be taking him somewhere else next time.

I’ve gone here a few times. They were all really good experiences until now. I received a call saying my dog was ready and they were almost going to close. when I got there I asked them what time they were going to close. The girl in the front kept going around the question. They had two other dogs they were still doing. I rushed there and she Never really answered the question. She asked me if I wanted to charge for the amount, I said no and added tip without seeing my dog’s haircut. I got home and it was uneven all over his stomach where I couldn’t tell until I looked t over and some on his body. I will never come back to this place. Rude girl in the front.

My little guys used to be regulars at Bubbles & Bones. They were great in the beginning. My boys used to come home with a little bandanna around their neck, happy, brushed, clean, and super sharp. Over the past couple of years, however, the quality of their service has declined. They don’t answer their phone as much as they used to and the usual 2 – 3 hour visit is now 3 – 4 hours. I guess it wouldn’t have mattered so much if they had done a stellar job.
During their most recent visits, my dogs would come home with a choppy or uneven cut and semi-​clean fur. When I asked for short, they would trim less off and when I asked for a trim, they were given a zero buzz cut. It was difficult to complain since we’ve had such a good relationship. I always had hope that perhaps it was just a coincidence (maybe the groomer is new, maybe they were busy, maybe my dogs were misbehaving, maybe they were short staffed and couldn’t give them full attention)…
Well, after a few more visits, I gave up. When it comes to your pet babies, you just don’t want to bring them back to a place where they might not be treated as well because you spoke your mind. So, we’ve gone elsewhere.

I took my Labradoodle there a few months ago right after I adopted him from the shelter and they did an amazing job transforming him from a dirty, matted mess, to a gorgeous dog. So I was really disappointed when I took him over the weekend. First, they told me they had to charge me more because there were more matts than last time. If they remembered how bad he looked when I brought him in last time, they wouldn’t have made up that excuse because he was one giant matt last time.
When I got home, there was a spot on his neck where all of his fur was gone. His muzzles was still dirty (he’s white). His «beard» was longer on one side. The hair on the rest of his face was jagged and not smooth. I found several small knots in his hair under his ears that they didn’t cut off, which I would assume is Grooming 101. And they cut it a lot shorter than what I asked for. I paid $ 75 (not including tip) for a horrible haircut for my dog. I will NEVER go back there again!

This place is now called Karma dog grooming FYI! Nice people, got me in the same day. Only $ 40 and my black lab came home smelling great and super shiny! I used to pay $ 35 just for a nail trim in SF! Glad i found these guys!

This is our 1st groomer here in Elk Grove. This was the closest to our home. Well we took in our Terrier Mix Versace. He need a good hair cut and a nail trim. So we took him in to bubbles and bath at 8am on Sunday (today) and we got a call that he was ready at 11:30. He came back a whole new dog! He smelled sooo good and was so happy. We are happy with the service and prices. We have found our vet for life. Just wait till I will bring in my 100lb Golden Retriever!

Dog was matted very terribly when we asked for a trim. Was a havanese before grooming now is a chihuahua. These workers need to learn how to brush a dog correctly. I would give this place zero stars if able to

I purchased a Unilocal coupon for $ 50 worth of services, but because I was a returning customer from last year — they would not let me use the coupon. Instead the groomer told me it was only for new clientele and would not make an exception, then told me to call Unilocal and get a refund. I could see why they wouldn’t want returning frequent customers to use this constantly — but come on… the last and only other time I came here was a year ago!
I gave the groomer specific notes for the cut and bath and ended up receiving just the opposite for my dog. One important tip was to not cut the hair too short. When I picked up my dog I could see his fleshing skin exposed behind his legs and stomach. Also, I requested no perfumes or scents — my dog smelled like perfume for 2 days. Lastly, they tied a bandana around his neck and when I took him home I found that it was tied so close and tight around his neck he was nearly strangled.
This was a disheartening experience and will never put my family dog through that again with this place. The shop smells really bad too.
