Laguna Creek Optometry

I needed to find a local optometrist. My previous one was so awesome and I wanted to find another that was the same caliber. After reading all the Unilocal reviews, I decided on Laguna Creek Optometry.
I was browsing their frame options and Nancy offered to help me. She looked up my insurance and helped me choose the frames which fit my wide face. She chose two frames that I LOVED right off the bat. She scheduled an eye exam for me the following week and set aside the frames I liked.
My appointment was with Dr. Bruce Chin. His assistant did the preliminary prep before my exam with Dr. Chin started. He was extremely personable and explained the exam and results in an easy to understand manner. He answered my questions completely and I never felt rushed. He also fitted me for contacts and explained that with my astigmatism, contacts for daily use might not be the best option for me. However, he still gave me some options to try out and scheduled a follow up in a couple of weeks.
Then his team helped me pick out my new eye glasses. The whole process was very easy. They explained all my options and didn’t pressure me into anything I didn’t want. They told me it would be anywhere between 7 — 10 days until my glasses were ready. Exactly a week later, I got a call and a text and I picked up my glasses the next day. They took their time to adjust it exactly to my liking.
Super happy with my experience and would happily recommend LCO to anyone looking for a new optometrist.

My family and I have been coming here for years, the staff and doctors are very professional and thorough. Today my son got contacts for the first time, Dr. Chin and his team were outstanding and took the time to help him get comfortable in putting them on himself.

Dr. Bruce Chin is amazing. I went in for a yearly check up and ordered my contacts and glasses. Two weeks later I was having some eye issues with irritation. I was able to get in right away to get it checked out. He checked my eye and found out I don’t produce tears so my eyes were drying out with contacts in. Ordered me new ones and solved the issue right away. Staff is very friendly. I refuse to go anywhere else.

Having worn eyeglasses for most of my life, I have been seen by many optometrists during those years. Ever since moving to Elk Grove in 1991 Laguna Creek optometry has been there for me. Laguna Creek optometry is located at 5050 Laguna Blvd in the Bel-​Air shopping center. The office is very clean and pristine with a large selection of eyeware. Comfortable seating in the waiting area with magazines to catch-​up and rewind. The staff is very professional and friendly making your visit a very pleasant experience. With their up to date equipment they are able to give their patients the best possible care.
Dr. Chin first noticed the rise in my eye optic pressure. Having me tested on many instruments (Ocular Digital imaging field testing), it was determined I had glaucoma and if not treated I could eventually lose my eyesight. He highly recommended me to see the best glaucoma specialist in Sacramento. We take seeing for granted until it is taken away from us. Surgery was performed shortly after with the best possible results. Now Dr. Chin and my specialist work hand in hand in making sure that my glaucoma is under control.
Glaucoma is a disease that damages the eye’s optic nerve and can result in vision loss to even blindness. There is no miracle cure for this disease. Once it’s determined that you do have this disease the only thing they can do is to keep it from getting any worse. Making sure there is no further damage to the optic nerve. Glaucoma has no symptoms so have your eyes checked regularly. I trust Dr. Chin and his staff completely! I highly recommend his services. He is not only my doctor but my friend!!!

I choose this place as my eye doctors after seeing all the positive reviews online. I’ve been going here now for 2 years and have had very thorough appointments, which is important to me as my eyesight is so poor. I order my contacts through them and they typically arrive within days. One time it took a couple weeks as we didn’t find out till after ordering that they were on back order but Laguna Creek helped me out and gave me enough samples to last the time I had to wait.
They take VSP or even the out of pocket cost isn’t too bad ($ 95 for a complete eye exam).

Affordable. Great selection. Very nice service. I even arrived late. They didn’t rush me. Very polite. The doctor is very knowledgeable as well.

This I the best place around to go to for glasses! I’ve gone here two years in a row since I found them. Rita helped me both time and was awesome. She quickly figured out what I wanted and searched in the online catalogues to find the best frames for me. She sent for several frames they didn’t have on display. I came back to try them-​with no obligation to buy. Other places I went didn’t have very good selections and didn’t seem very interested in helping me. It felt like they just wanted me to hurry up and buy any old thing. I took my husband to Laguna and it took him about 5 minutes to pick new frames. At the other places he couldn’t find anything he liked. What a difference!

My work provides me with VSP benefit and it is valid for this optometry. This location is easy to miss. They don’t have a large sign or banner, so I actually drove right pass it the first time I came here. It is located in a plaza with other shopping centers, this one is next to a Raley’s store.
I came here for an eye exam to get contacts, they are appointment only (3 weeks wait usually). On my first appointment, I got the time confused and was running 30 minutes late, but due to my mistake the location was getting ready to close and gave me a call to check on my whereabouts. I mentioned I was on my way but since I failed to appear at the set time I had to set another appointment and wait another 3 weeks again. I thought about just going elsewhere, but ultimately decided on waiting the extra 3 weeks for my exam.
When I got tested, Dr. Bruce Chin was so friendly and made me feel like a kid testing his vision for the first time. Even the staffs here are always greeting me with a smile. :)
With my VSP plan, I got my contacts and exam nearly paid in full, it was just a couple bucks out of my own pocket! When the contacts were available to pick up, I did not realize my voicemail was full so they sent me a letter through the mailing address I provided. I gave them a call back after reading the letter and was able to pick it up the same day!

I’ve been coming here since moving to Sacramento in 2005. Dr. Bruce Chin provides thorough eye exam, he always explains everything in details and is an excellent doctor. Most importantly, Dr. Chin listens to your concerns and gives you feedback. He makes you feel like you are his best patient. The office has a nice selection of frames to choose from and staff are helpful in helping customers with selecting the right frame. I highly recommend this office to my fellow Unilocalers.

I’ve been going to Dr. Bruce Chin ever since I was in elementary school! He always wants to make sure you get the highest standard of care. If there are any issues, he is very willing to work with you to see what is best for your eyes and you. The office is also available on the weekends which is great because sometimes the weekdays I just can’t make it in. They also have a great variety of glasses and the staff is very helpful with any questions you may have.

I went there a few weeks ago to get my glasses. Unfortunately, one of my dogs chewed up my glasses and they replaced it under warranty. I was so happy that I was able to get my glasses without having to pay more money. The optometrists there are wonderful. They are friendly and really do care about you and your eyes. I would highly recommend this place.

I’ve been going here for close to 10 years. They have been nothing but nice, professional and always accommodating! Dr. Bruce Chin is very professional and approachable. Great selection of glasses too! And they’re not pushy about them either. It’s a great place overall!

They were so pleasant and helpful. The glasses I got looked good feel great and were cheaper than JC Penny’s and LensCrafter!
It’s also a nice plus that they are local and small business.

All three doctors are extremely knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely caring. The appointments book up quickly (about 3 weeks in advance), so if you know your schedule you should call in and book your appointment. The staff are very friendly and great! I know many families have been patients for 10+ years. Some are adults with children who have gone when they themselves were little. This place is the exact reason why I support local businesses. One time, I was unhappy with my glasses and they helped me until my problem was resolved. The entire time the entire staff was understanding and patient. I truly appreciated that. I would recommend this place to everyone!

Been going here for 5+ years and I’ve never had a bad experience here unlike other optometry places in Elk Grove.
Dr. Bradley Chin is incredibly nice and patient, he was the only optometrist that never gave up on trying to find the perfect pair of soft toric lenses.
I have recommended this place to other family members and friends.
