Such a hidden gem! After house hunting in Elk Grove the hubs and I stopped by right at opening. The brewery/tasting room is a two room affair(no connector yet, but just pop outside the door to access the other room. The owner was pouring beers and was so friendly. Best of all, tilted mash has a well rounded, very delicious selection of beers. For a brewery that just opened, this is huge. I’ve been to several new brew operations in sac whose lineups are either plain not tasty or not well rounded(like, six IPAs and a stout… Yuck). There was a great, well priced selection and an enjoyable place to drink it. Can’t ask for more! Hope to have many more pints here.

The Elk Grove beer scene is coming along nicely. There are some very refined brews to be had and Tilted Mash is definitely part of that.

Awesome place, family friendly, great service and most importantly exceptional beers! Their Double IPA got me «tilted». No pun intended. A must try when you’re in Elk Grove.

Was not a huge fan of this place. Fairly convenient location off the freeway. It has the warehouse feel to it, as many other local breweries have. They need more fans or swamp coolers because it’s like a microwave when it’s warm out. There were only 5 brews at the time. I tried a pale ale and coffee stout. For some reason, they seemed to have an odd tang to their beer that I was not a fan of. The double ipa was decent, but nothing to boast about. I was there on a Sunday about an hour before close. They did have a food truck there who left about 30 min before closing. Overall, this place is more of an early spring place to go, when the weather is perfect, not hot nor cold. Most likely, I may give them a second try, but I just didn’t see anything spectacular about them to entice me over other local breweries.

Beer is excellent. What I like most is the variety of beers which most are standard. They had a Saison, wheat IPA, cream ale, stout, and a double IPA. Every beer was solid. Service was beyond excellent and the owner gave me plenty of tasters by hunting me down! This shows a lot of courtesy and I felt welcomed! Keep it up Tilted mash!

First visit here. Really good beer and nice owner. Had the pineapple saison, and the double ipa, both were very tasty. If you buy the glass when you fill up you get an extra 4oz on every fill after, so long as you have the glass. Also got a growler of their coffee milk stout quick is one of the better one I’ve tasted

Elk Grove is finally getting some breweries! After visiting the nearby Flatland Brewing, I found this place and made a note to stop by. I am glad that I did. Tilted Mash is setup off Union Park Way in an industrial strip mall near the back. Just turn at Boot Barn near the old Harley Davidson and look for the food truck in the parking lot. The brewery occupies two spaces — one selling beer and the other as extra seating. The place is very basic with unfinished walls and plain wooden picnic tables, but the beer is legit. On my trip, I sampled the wheat IPA and pineapple saison. The wheat was an interesting take on a standard IPA, giving a different flavor profile. I was not as impressed with the saison, although it was an interesting concept. They serve half pints here too. Like Flatland, Tilted Mash suffers from a tough location. You must drive on the frontage road to get here far away from the main areas in Elk Grove. Nevertheless, business is booming with a good showing on a rainy Saturday afternoon. I wish these guys the best, bringing needed variety to the southern suburbs.

As someone who really enjoys craft brew, I was excited at the prospect of another brewery opening right in my own backyard! My hubby and I stopped by here with our besties and babies on grand opening weekend and we were NOT disappointed! Sure the walls are not painted and the space is kinda rough still, but the beer? AWESOME. Like I was honestly taken aback at how good it was. My BFF and I both got the White Gummy Bear, a pineapple saison that now has me bugging my husband to go over after work and pick up a growler. He and his buddy both tried the Double IPAs(and that one did come home in a growler… and was promptly drank and gone in a matter of hours). This place is set up in an industrial park with the roll up doors, picnic tables and… not much else. The food trucks outside will take care of your nibble needs and honestly, the beer is enough of a draw to make you forget about the bland space. I imagine they have plans in the near future to remedy the décor. One thing I DONOT like about this place — and it is silly — is their logo! I am kind of a swag wh*re and when I went to buy the obligatory sweatshirt or tank top I was like, «um…nevermind.» Still a little clunky and overly masculine to me. And with how well their beer is bound to do, they might want to alter it to something a little more universally appealing. GREATPRODUCT! Chill set up. But please fix that logo so I can swag out!

I’m so happy this place finally open. It’s great to have a craft brewery down the street of the house in Elk Grove. This little gem is situated 3 minutes away from Elk Grove regional park. They have plenty of tables and space to hang out and grab a beer. I met the owner Jonathan and he is so nice to talk to. The beer was amazing as well. They to rotate a few food trucks throughout the week. Pricing on their beer is not bad either. Very casual and laid back vibe place with a free Dj on the opening weekend. Can’t wait what else they have in store down the road.

This place is pretty slick! Ordered a couple Citra IPAs. The beertenders explained it’s intended to be balanced, and not so much like chewing on a pinecone, and they’re right. It’s really enjoyable. Looking forward to trying the rest shortly. The place: Two roll-up-door units. Rightmost is the brewery, cold room, and bar. There’s a couple tables in there as well. Leftmost is additional sitting and standing room. The wooden picnic tables are so fresh, the whole room smells like wood. The«patio» out front consists of barrels connected by plastic chains and covered with pop-up tents. Decent standing room. Could do for a bit more airflow, especially when it climbs above 70 °F soon. But hey, it’s just opening day, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of their plans.
