Delicious smoothies and exceptionally friendly staff. Wish we’d tried the lunch food. The granola bars were delicious and nutritious.

Making the community healthier… one meal at a time! So blessed to meet new ppl everyday and there is such a strong bond being created here in the community to learn how to care for themselves and their families, heal through foods, and connect with good, sustainable sources!

Very good food and atmosphere. An organic menu with a variety of options. The taco salad is especially good. Smoothies look good, but didn’t get one this visit.

Wish we had visited here sooner, but will be sure to come back soon. It’s been a challenge to find healthy food out around the area, but this place has organic food that is prepared well and tastes delicious. The grilled cheese & taco salad were super tasty! Also, the owner is very nice and warm. Great place on the first visit!

The Moringa Tree is a great place for an organic healthy meal. Don’t expect biscuits and gravy… this is not a morning breakfast joint. I had a taco salad with grass fed beef. I’m glad they have organic cows now.

Love the set-up(a very warm and inviting multi-room cottage), love how wholesome the food is. The quality and freshness of the ingredients really come through with the soups: I’ve been here several times and the soup has always impressed me: a sweet potato/kale soup, and a curry sweet potato soup were both full of big chunks of vegetables and great depth of flavor; a curried Asian vegetable soup was great although the veggies were a little overcooked(completely unlike the other two soups). The grilled cheese is also very good, and so’s the veggie burger, although the guacamole add-on option was a bit of a let-down(it was more like an avocado spread than guacamole). Their version of a PB&J came with almond butter and berries(strawberries, blueberries) instead of jam; delicious. I also love the slices of raw veggies and/or fruit that come with your sandwich. I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m in Elkhart.

This place had some of the freshest food I have had since visiting Elkhart. The staff was attentive and the prices seemed appropriate for the quality of ingredients. The owner seemed very knowledgable about the sourcing of the ingredients in their dishes as well as their nutritional benefits. Got the taco salad special and it was the best taco salad I have ever had(while also being much healthier!) Definitely would return.

This place is great! Introduced to this restaurant by a friend at lunch. When I walked in, I immediately enjoyed the atmosphere. Cool, unique tables. Felt very welcoming and warm. It was tiny, but still nice. The food was great! I ordered the grilled cheese and I was not disappointed. Tasted very fresh. It was a mix of a couple of different cheeses on a multigrain bread. The cheese was great, but definitely not overwhelming. I also loved the small side salad that came with the sandwich. I could tell the dressing was homemade and was delicious. It was just the right amount of sweet. The plate also came out with fresh fruit. Always a plus for a fresh, healthy meal. The best thing I did order was the peanut butter smoothie. It was very filling so I couldn’t finish it. But I would be happy to go back just to try the different smoothies.

I love this place. It’s adorable and cozy, always smells delicious. The food is wonderful, though of limited selection. I don’t mind, and come here frequently for a smoothie or fresh juice. The little protein ball snacks she makes are AMAZING as well. Jenny, the owner, is super friendly and knowledgeable. I feel good spending my money here, because I like the people and the food is so healthy that I don’t feel guilty going out to eat here.

Where to begin. I was very excited to see a healthy, locally owned café in Elkhart. Especially since I moved here by marriage from a place that had organic, healthier foods. I went in there and was really impressed by the quaint, cottage like décor. However, when I got to the counter and was greeted by housewives of Elkhart. They were kind at first but then the owner opened her mouth. It’s one thing to have a passion for what you believe in and to finally share that with others but she basically put everything I said about health food down like she had all the answers. Then after ordering I felt like her and her housewives of Elkhart club were just enough for me to never go back there again. The food and smoothie was expensive and disgusting. One word… agave. You should try it.

Love this place! Today will be my third time. Meeting up with some friends. The food is excellent and the atmosphere relaxing. The smell draws you in and the taste is superb! So happy there is a place like this within an hours drive.

Stopped here on way through town. It was a sunny autumn day and we were in the mood for something healthy. This turned out to be a gem of a find. Being a converted house and now a restaurant makes it a quirky place to begin with as you take in its eclectic table arrangement and vibrant color scheme. They have done a great job in making it look and feel fun without being gaudy. We sat by the window so my wife could soak up the sun on this Fall day. The owner/waitress was friendly and knowledgable. We ordered the chicken Asian salad. Very tasty. Comes with homemade flax seed crackers that were interesting. I ordered the chicken sandwich which was fabulous. Seasoning done just right. It came it an apple cole slaw that fit the theme of the day of celebrating fall. As noted by others, if you are looking for a healthy yet very satisfying dining experience then check out this establishment.

My boyfriend and I had lunch here while driving through. We are Seattle area and after eating at diners, bars and BBQ joints this was a welcome reprieve. I had the chicken taco salad and found well seasoned with a nice lite dressing. The chicken was ground, which was different but still tasty. My boyfriend had the wrap which he enjoyed a lot. His only complaint was that it fell apart immediately after picking it up. Overall fantastic spot.

I just had lunch here and it was great. My family and I got the bruschetta and guac as an appetizer. All delicious. I have the Asian salad for lunch and the flavors were great. My mom’s chicken special was also really well seasoned. Jenny really knows her stuff. It was all really nice and refreshing compared to a lot of the other dining options around here. And I thought it would be years before Elkhart would come around and get a place that served fresh smoothies and juice and meals made with fresh produce.

A gem in a surprisingly odd location, northern Indiana. Great to see new influences in the midwest to introduce healthier choices amongst a sea of never ending cheese, fat, and carb filled other restaurants. The food and juices are great and I will make sure to visit here each time I am in town. High marks all around to front and back of house.

Oh. My. Word. An organic café… in Elkhart? Yes! Short and sweet… there is nothing like this in all of Michiana. My fam and I have to go to Chicago to get anything like this, and here we are, in little ol’ Elkhart with an organic café. My wife and I had a date night and we spent it at Moringa Tree. Best decision we could have made. The folks running this gem, Jenny and Andy, are amazing. The café itself is located in an old house, redone to be quite cozy and well decorated. We felt at home in this place. You order at the counter and we had a pizza with sauteed mushrooms and kale, raw cheddar cheese, and instead of tomato sauce, it was more like salsa. All that on a homemade sourdough crust(the dough was fermented in house). It was absolutely delicious. No, it wasn’t Papa John’s shiny greasy drunk food, but you actually know what the hell you are eating. Also had a salad with housemade italian dressing. Get it. Finally, as a super surprise from Jenny, we had a piece of mind blowing chocolate cake with a berry reduction sauce. Pray that you get to be blessed with this treat. She can tell you all the ingredients in the cake. None of which starts with«High», «Fructose», or the letter x. Eat here. Now.
