First of all, adorable name for a coffee shop… Elkins Perk in Elkins Park. It’s conveniently located across from the Elkins Park Train Station making it a great stop for tired commuters. They have 5 rotating roasts daily. The hazelnut is to die for. The caramel is simply delish! The owner is a doll and will help you mix your blends. Today he suggested the City Roast with my vanilla. Coco and cinnamon shakers available. Soy milk too! The offer lattes and any other drink you would find at a fancy coffee café. Fresh beans for sale are displayed in beautiful classic cases by the front door. They serve breakfast bagel sammies for under $ 4 as well as baked goods. Snacks for the kiddos such as Pirate’s Booty and Nutella to go packs. Sit at a high top by the window or on the cozy benches with pillows and sip. Cute, simple little place.

Just very very good coffee and light sandwiches and snacks. Nice shop with good music and a very friendly owner/barista/chef who does get busy from time to time. Not cheep but fair for what you get and I think less then Starbucks. Outside seating in nice weather and right by the train to Philly. Other then night time hours which, I’m afraid the area will not profitably support, it’s perfect.

Great little café. Owner is nice and the coffee is good and appropriately priced. A medium americano is $ 2.25. Best part about it is the prices are set to be nice square numbers after tax(1.89 becomes 2.00)!

Best chai in cheltenham. They get bagels from Rollins so you know they’re good. The ambiance is great and the owner is always friendly. It’s a great place to hangout, do work, talk with friends, or stop in for coffee before the train.

Love this place! Support private, local businesses! The friendly atmosphere, unassuming décor, perfect location and great coffee would be enough, but it is also has the added benefit of not being Starbucks.

Great neighborhood joint near my father-in-law’s house in Elkins Park. We make sure to come here whenever we’re in town because we can expect friendly service, great food and drinks, and a cozy interior.

I love supporting this business — the owner truely cares about his customers and you can tell. He is there day in and day out with a smile on his face. He has freshly brewed coffee and a selection of granola bars and snacks. I love getting fresh ground coffee to go as well.

First, let me get this out of the way – your profile isn’t correct. There is some outdoor seating in good weather at Elkins Perk, sidewalk seating. The owners are friendly, the atmosphere inside is calming and welcoming. Prices are reasonable, the coffee is a good hot beverage. I don’t know about the food as I’ve never had it, I’m strictly a coffee customer.

I walked 1.7 miles to and from this place while visiting friends in Cheltenham. The mocha café I had was definitely worth the walk. The barista was friendly. I’ll be back here next time I’m in the area.

This place is really cute. It’s got great jazz music, comfy seating, and, most important, really good coffee and bagels. Plus, the name is really clever — a take on the location’s name, with a little bit of «Friends» thrown in.
