We are a locally owned restaurant with an attached, yet separate, bar and brewery. In 2013 we opened Elko’s first brewery, Hamilton Stage Brewing Co., and now serve seven or more in house crafted brews. Serving Elko since 1993, our motto is «Come as a Stranger, Leave as a Friend». We are a home town establishment owned by local folks and we serve food made like home! Our burgers are hand pressed and are meals are freshly made… NOT poured from plastic bags taken out of a freezer. We are known for our fun events and are the place to go for local fun! With easy parking, we offer a variety of atmospheres to best fit your needs; our non smoking restaurant, the bar where you can light up one of our fine cigars, or our outdoor patio where you can hang out with your friends (canine included)! History

Established in 1993.

Matties started as a small bar with a separate yet attached restaurant, so that families as well as couples or rowdier groups could comfortably dine in proximity. Elko is a mining town with a big influx of newcomers. The owner, Scott Reutner, wanted to provide an atmosphere where folks new to the area felt comfortable and welcome thus the motto, «Come as a Stranger, Leave as a Friend». Twenty plus years later, we have expanded our size and added a brewery but still our motto remains the same. We WELCOME new folks yet most of our clients have been counting on us to meet their dining and relaxing needs for decades!
