I’m going to try this review again:
My experience with Dr. Kim is always positive. I have been coming here for several years because all my friends have recommended him. However, I tried several places before him and by far he is the most friendly, honest and professional dentist. I needed a root canal and the previous dentist wanted to do it themselves. When I went to see Dr. Kim, he recommended an Endodontist. He could have easily done it himself to make more money. He is obviously making sure I get the right care.
He is highly recommended on Google reviews, Wellness, Healthgrades and many more. There are further positive reviews from other patients below that did not get factored into the stars. He is one of the highest rated dentist around here!

I have been a patient at Dr. Kim’s office for over 15 years and have always had a great experience. Dr. Kim is very meticulous and constantly takes the extra step to ensure that you have the proper materials for preventative care. He consistently communicates with you during procedures to ensure that you are not experiencing any pain. I would recommend Dr. Kim to anyone in the area.

TL;DR: Dr. Kim is clearly a businessman first, doctor second. Stay away.
If you value your teeth and your wallet, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I had to switch to a new dentist because my old dentist retired, so I thought I’d give Dr. Kim a try.
The Good:
–The receptionist was really nice, and even gave me courtesy calls on the day before my appointment, to remind me. Plus, she was super-​flexible about changing appointment times!
–The office is very clean and quiet, and gives a good first impression of the practice.
The Bad:
–Dr. Kim greeted me with a simple, «Hello» when he walked into my exam room. What, no introduction? I didn’t know what Dr. Kim looked like, the man who walked in could have been the doctor, a dental hygienist, custodial crew, etc.
–Without asking about my dental history, Dr. Kim tried to upsell me on doing a «debridement» which costs $ 89. He suggested that I have this procedure done after a 0.50 second GLANCE at the front of my teeth.
The Ugly:
–Dr. Kim kept asking me leading questions to support his dental debridement diagnosis, such as «It’s been a very long time since you’ve been to the dentist, hasn’t it?,» or «Do you floss? If so, do you bleed?,» and «Has anyone ever showed you how to properly brush your teeth? I see a lot of buildup.» To which I responded, «My last cleaning was in November/​December 2013,» «Yes I floss every day, and no I don’t bleed,» and «I know how to properly brush my teeth, I have been given clean bills of health from all of my dentists and orthodontists.» I have visited the dentist TWICE A YEAR, EVERY YEAR, FOR THE PAST 25 YEARS. All of them (to include my orthodontist) have given me a clean bill of health, and the last time I visited a dentist was in November/​December 2013, and my orthodontist in February 2014.
WORST OF ALL:
–DR. KIM STARTED DOING THE DEBRIDEMENT WITHOUT MY CONSENT OR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT!!! He noticed my hesitancy, then said, «We’ll do a regular cleaning first to see if we need a debridement.» Surprise, surprise, we go through the cleaning and I don’t bleed at all. Obviously I didn’t need the debridement because I don’t have periodontal disease.
On the plus side, he did a really good cleaning – even if it was just the regular cleaning.

The kind receptionist took me back to the dental chair and then told me, «if Dr. Kim decides to do a debridement, it is $ 89». I wondered why she said that since no one had even looked at my teeth. I floss once a day and brush 2 – 3 times a day. When Dr. Kim arrived he said that a regular cleaning «takes 5 minutes», but I need a debridement «To get the bacteria out from under the gums». It sounded very unnecessary. I do not have inflamed gums or periodontal disease nor was I told I do. «You really need it because you haven’t been to the dentist in a while». I have never had a shorter teeth cleaning, Dr. Kim spent about 15 minutes or so with me total. Maybe 10 minutes cleaning my teeth. Upon googling dental debridement when I got home, I see the procedure should take 45 – 60 minutes, is very intense and can cause gum bleeding. Anyway, although the cleaning sufficed and Dr. Kim was polite, he gouged out an extra $ 90 for a service that was neither provided nor needed.
