The food was gross and the price for what my son and I ordered was way too expensive. The soda machine was out of just about everything to drink except diet sodas. The only thing good about this place was the customer service. Never again.

This place is usually very good and has tasty food with a variety of choices. However, I was disappointed to bite into a slice that contained a small pebble which made a terrible noise as it ground against my teeth. This led me to question the cleanliness of the establishment and that of the employees’ hands. If a pebble made its way into my pie, what else could have? I just hope I didn’t swallow any accidentally. I am not quite sure if I will be returning to this location for my quick pizza needs.

When your kids starting cheering for Pie Five, and really didn’t want to cook dinner anyways, it’s a great night. I always like their pizzas. It’s subway… pizza style. Check it out if you’re in the area.

The pizza is very average. i was surprised at how small the pizzas were, especially the crispy crust item. For $ 6.99 I would expect more than that. It isn’t spectacular tasting or anything like that. $ 6.99 for the pan pizza isn’t too bad b/c at least the crust is more substantial. I guess if you come here, the toppings are what you should focus on. They do have a good number of those, so get the ones you want! On the positive side, the service is pretty fast and friendly. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. I just wish the food was better.

This place is great especially if your family all wants something different on their pizza. It is a individual pizza & salad place both are $ 6.99 each and you can add whatever toppings you like for no additional cost. You can create your own or select a pre-created combination then add or take away any topping you wish. They have a variety of crust: super thin crust which seems to be what everyone gets although it doesn’t look appealing to me, but I guess great if you want almost no carbs. A deep dish which is what I like and a gluten free crust, which they do run out of. Salad are great especially for the price & all the toppings. Pizza is descent, but it is not your average NY style pizza but it is tasty and very satisfying. If going with someone who likes the same things as you do, then you can share a pizza & salad and it would be very filling. When I am alone I usually have a few slices of pizza left so they are definitely a good size. Staff is very nice and if you ever have any issues the management team has been amazing.

First time trying it today. No matter how many toppings you add, still $ 6.99, which is great. There was a line of about 5 people and it moved pretty fast. Nice and crispy crust. Only complaint — the manager must have been in a bad mood because I swear she ever so slightly sighed and rolled her eyes when she had to change gloves to handle my gluten-free crust. And she was quite aggressive and barky with me from there on out. Not a good interaction at all. She went into the back directly afterward, so I hope she took a breath and felt better. Her 4 young employees, on the other hand, were all very pleasant.

All pizzas are: $ 6.99. They are made to order and are all this price, with a few items excepted to add at a reasonable extra cost. This is a chain restaurant, so any expectations should fall within that concept. The staff is incredibly friendly and they ask you if the abundance of toppings is adequate. When the pizza comes out of the oven, they again ask you if it is to your liking. I had a artisan crust High Five and my wife had a pan style with almost every topping offered. Both were very good. For seven bucks, way better than expected! Great choice for lunch or a light dinner and a movie!

I enjoyed my crab pizza. I figured it would be extra but it was same price as the signature. Bonus point for the person(manager maybe?) changing her gloves for each order. Plenty of toppings to choose from. And of course the self serve Coke machine which is the best invention ever.

Had never eaten at a Pie Five before & was pleasantly surprised that pizza freshly prepared & made that quickly could be good. The price regardless of number of toppings, etc. is $ 6.99 which I was fine with. I had artisan thin crust with traditional pizza sauce, pepperoni, sausage & onions. Ended up adding a side Caesar salad & drink bringing the price to about $ 11. In the time it took me to pay & walk over to get my fountain soda they were already pulling the pizza out of the oven. Good flavor will definitely be back. They also have a rewards program where you get 2 points I believe for each pizza or salad & I think it was 20 points to get a free one.

Gave my boyfriend and I food poisoning when we went. It’s a good concept I guess but it made us really sick. Will not be going ever again. One of the ladies that make the pizza always has an attitude.(I’ve been there twice and got sick twice)

Remember mama Celeste pizza? Well I certainly do. And although it’s been about 20 years since I’ve had one of those delectable frozen treats… biting into a pie five pizza made me remember exactly what they tasted like — bland and flat. Folks that’s not a compliment. The pizza here just isn’t that good. I ordered one thin crust and one pan. The thin crust tasted like cardboard. And the pan tasted like a frozen croissant. The toppings are just average too. Compared to its superior counterparts — MOD and bagby — pie fives’ toppings lacked pizazz and flare. There was nothing unique or exciting at all. No cheese besides mozz. No pesto. No nuts. Just your run of the mill stuff. The salad was decent albeit was mixed with a tad too much dressing(which was not homemade) but rather poured out of a big generic jug. The worst part is that the salad was served in one of the uncooked pan pizza dough crust?!! WTF. I have no freaking clue why they did this. It wasn’t clever at all and the dough was inedible. I sure hope this isn’t company policy because if it is it’s a terrible idea. The thing didn’t even fit down the garbage can hole. The only redeeming qualities was the cleanliness of the restaurant and the knowledge of SOME of the staff members. There must have been 8 people working the counter that night. The young kids were Clueless about pretty much everything. The few older folks working that night — who seemed like they were a part of the management team — at least knew what kind of iced tea was at the soda station. They were enthusiastic about the product too. Props to them because the kids seemed like they were stoned. I see no reason to visit here. Sure it’s super cheap and incredibly. fast. Plus you get all the toppings you want but I’d rather pay a bit more for real pizza with some chew, character and flavor.

My boyfriend and I found this place a few weeks back. Love the restaurant concept! My boyfriend always orders the buffalo chicken pizza on thin crust and it is always on point — I like that they throw banana peppers on there it give it that little something extra! I have tried the greek salad, plain cheese pizza(best way to judge a pizza restaurant), and the create your own pizza. Nothing has disappointed! The only reason this place isn’t getting 5 stars is because I think the price tag is slightly high for the size pizza you get. If your ever on route 40 — try this place!

I grew up living personal pan pizza, as an adult I love the fact it’s making a comeback. I was surprised by the quality and quantity of topping choices available. I loaded up my pizza with 11 toppings and not only were they all good, my pizza wasn’t soggy. The Italian salad was delicious with hand tossed Italian dressing and a drizzle of balsamic. I would definitely come back and would highly recommend fans of loaded pizza’s check it out.

I tried a similar chain in Canada and was excited Pie Five opened near by. The employees were friendly and non judgey as I loaded up my pizza! They asked if my pizza was perfect before it hit the oven and it was! I loved all of fresh topping and choices. The salad was also really fresh and dressing was yummy. The atmosphere is nice I like the high tops and outdoor seating, this place is worth a try!

I love the concept of this restaurant! The create-your-own style of many new restaurants is appealing, especially if you’re a picky eater like me. I didn’t know this place existed in Ellicott City, I didn’t even know about the new plaza it was in! There was lots of parking and places to sit in the restaurant. As far as the pizza goes… it was okay. I got the farmers market pizza– it comes with their tuscan marinara, mushrooms, spinach, red & green peppers, red onions and roasted tomatoes. I also added pepperoni to mine, free of charge. They suggest the whole grain thin crust but I just chose the traditional, which is much thicker than the cracker-like thin crust. The toppings and crust were fresh. It wasn’t very impressive, but definitely better than a Digornio or something from the frozen aisle. Size wise, it’s a little larger than a personal pan pizza, I’d say about 8 inches. I was starving, and I was satisfied after eating it. Not stuffed, but it definitely was enough for one person. There is a pizza and salad combo but I didn’t get it because the salad was tiny and came in a small bread bowl. The whole salad just looked unappealing to me. I think I ended up paying around 10 or 11 dollars for the pizza and a drink. Honestly, I would have been satisfied with a large pizza from Vocelli’s or Papa Johns for that price, considering the pizza wasn’t very memorable. I will say, the desserts they offered looked amazing and I definitely wish I would have tried the dessert and pizza combo! Overall the place was good. Nothing spectacular, but fresh and simple, with a friendly and fast service!

The 6.99 price tag is a bit more than I like for the size of pizzas(about 8 inches) and the service wasn’t terribly welcoming, but damn if their toppings aren’t really, really good. I’ve been to Blaze and a few other similar concepts but I liked Pie Five the best. I had the artisan thin crust with a buttload of toppings: mozzarella, ricotta, chicken, bacon, caramelized onions, sun dried and roasted tomatoes, peppers, sun dried tomato purée… probably a few I forgot. Just great overall, especially with the way the cheese blends into the robust tomato sauce. While the crust is a bit bland, it also avoid some of the more offputting burnt flavors that I’ve found some of the more artisan fast casual thin crusts have. The freestyle machine is, of course, a huge plus. What I will say is the people working there really try to up sell everything, and don’t tell you about the extra charges. You can tell the people making the pizzas are also trained to try to get you not to pick too many toppings, which I mean is smart business but don’t be rude to the customer and don’t market yourself as «as many toppings as you want» if that’s not, in fact, what you do.

There’s a large variety of crusts, sauces, and toppings. I noticed they even take special precautions when making the gluten free pizza to prevent from contaminating it with any sort of gluten. I gave it four stars because their salad selection is very sparse, but overall delicious personal pizzas!

A new concept in pizza. Think of it as personalized. You get almost any upscale topping you can think of, good quality cheese, and your choice of sauce and bread type. It’s an assembly line process, with you telling them what to put on your pizza. Then it comes out in approximately three minutes. I thought the pizza was really good. I liked the idea of creating my own. It was enough to satisfy me, however I do not think it would be enough for a insanely hungry teen age boy. My son and I both had our own pizza and a regular size fountain soda. The bill was $ 19.00 and change. So, it is kind of pricey. If you are feeding a large family, it may be a little expensive. Otherwise, a nice new spot in Ellicott City.

We came to Pie Five on a soft opening night and loved the food. The variety of toppings was large and they all tasted very fresh. For $ 6.99 you get a personal sized pizza with your choice of crust, sauce and unlimited toppings There are also entrée salads. Our group had two make your own pie’s, one of the suggested menu pizzas called the«Farmer’s Market» and a greek salad. Everyone was very happy with their choices and the items came out quickly and correctly. We’ll definitely come back again!
