Local dive bar. Highly recommend the Ribs. Food is good, nice selection of craft beer, and best part is the love music on Fridays/Saturday’s. Definitely a great«locals» spot.

T-Bonz is a neighborhood pub. It is an awesome place to grab a bite and enjoy a drink. I was shocked to see the«overall rating» at only 3 stars. We have been coming here for nearly a decade, both with and without kids. We have never been let down dining here, we have always had great service and enjoyed solid pub food. Do not hesitate dining here, if you are looking for a reliable place for a good meal.

I gave them another try last night. The customer service was much better. We had three staff members take care of us. The band was funny and tried every song asked of them(hilarious). The beer was awesome and matched the absolutely delicious entrees we selected. An overall great experience compared to a month ago. I will say that I will return again.

Crappie décor. 70’s biker bar style, but the food is pretty decent. Lots of good beers. Bar staff is okay. Woman bartender kept coughing into her hand and serving drinks(pretty disgusting), but what are you gonna do. OMG, she just coughed all over ther bar and didn’t bother to lift her arm to cover her face. #OrderToGo

T-Bonz is located behind a shopping center and not visible from the street. It’s a restaurant with a lot of beers and such. I’m not much of a beer person, so i can’t comment on that other than they have a lot. But, I did have lunch there and the food is average. It’s not bad, but it seems the the drinks are more of the appeal. had a cheese steak sandwich, and although not bad, it was honestly quite small for the price. It was not very flavorful, but it was juicy and tender. The fries were pretty good though; crispy and not greasy. Service wasn’t bad either. Overall, i think not a bad place to go(perhaps different for someone that really enjoys beer), but not first on the list either.

I grew up in Ellicott City and have been to T-Bonz a few times in the 90s, but haven’t been back since last night for not particular reason. I remember thinking the food was decent over a decade ago, but honestly, I thought the restaurant would have gone out of business. The restaurant is tucked away behind a 103⁄104 strip mall. It is in a major need of redecorating, but the dated looks is also some of its charm. If there was such a thing as a dive restaurant, this would be it. Ordered the chips w/queso, mild wings, and the crab cake special. Chips w/queso is nothing special, but was tasty. The wings were also decent, but they use a thick wing sauce like you would get from the grocery store. Their mild is also more of a medium. Standard bar food fare and nothing that truly stands out. The crab cake was on the small side compared to the softball sized ones you get from G&Ms or Timbuktu. Not really any filler which was nice. My main issue is that you get a side salad ahead of time and the crab cake comes with(we chose) tater tots. The smallish crab cake and the tater tots on a large rectangle plate makes the $ 17 meal look very chintzy. Lots of microbrews to choose from and they vary in discount during happy hour. They also have growlers. Will come back to try their rib or steak special.

I had a horrible experience at T-Bonz a while back. While their draft beer selection is great, their dining experience was one of the top 3 worst I have ever experienced. I showed up about an hour before closing and was told the kitchen would be closing soon. I ordered ribs, but was told that it took too long and the chef was about to leave. I ordered a burger instead(medium rare), and it came out well-done. I asked if they could send it back to the kitchen, but they said the kitchen was closed so there was nothing they could do. Needless to say I will never be going back.

This is a very strange restaurant. We’ve been 3 times on Sundays to take advantage of their appetizer specials and watch football games. It was surprisingly empty every time we visited. For the most part the appetizers are pretty decent and a decent value when on special. We brought the family to dinner on trivia night recently and that was really weird. Most people there were in large groups and didn’t order food. They were fixated on winning the trivia game and downing cheap shots that I guess are given to the winners. I don’t like to be judgmental on the clientele, but let’s just leave it at ‘weird’. The dinner menu is fairly overpriced in my opinion, however the food is decent. Our steaks were prepared exactly to order and had plenty of flavor. The atmosphere is also weird. I feel like I’m dining in a basement of a frat house. Its very dark and really doesn’t smell all that great. I’d give it 2.5 stars overall.

Years ago when I first started going to this hole in the wall, they used to have only BBQ ribs and pulled pork sandwiches. This is the first place I remembered when I came back down from NYC with my gf and his kid. The reviews got me worried a little bit. However, after two full slaps and a crab cake sandwich(we’re in MD after all) I was reassured. This is the best place for BBQ ribs even after 20 yrs. They added the larger dining room and the bar and live music etc. but if you’re craving ribs, look no further.

Good food but be aware of high bar cost for non well drinks. $ 9.50 for CC Manhattan. Tuna, crab cake, rib steak very good.

This is the closest restaurant to my house, so I go here about once a year to see if it has gotten any better. It hasn’t. I have received good service here exactly once. Last night, it was horrible as usual. Our waitress never came to our table until after we were finished eating. I had to go to the bar and ask for a refill, where the bartender treated me like a jerk for asking. My ribs only had BBQ sauce on half of it and our ketchup was out, so we had to grab a bottle of ketchup off another table. I wanted more BBQ sauce so that the ribs would taste like something, but that’s the one thing I couldn’t go somewhere else in the restaurant to find. The only reason I’m giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is because the crab-dip here is fantastic. Next year when I forget how frustrating last night’s trip was, I’ll just go sit at the bar and order crab dip and nothing else. I just wonder if the owners really care. The poor service is obviously a consistent problem after reading most of the reviews.

This really should be 2 stars, but the drink selection is incredible. I went here because my stepbrothers baseball team was having a fundraiser, and I will definitely not go out of my way to eat here again. The service was horrible, like ridiculous. And I’ve worked in restaurants so I usually totally understand when the servers are slammed and can’t visit your table as often, but I mean they were not busy at all. And when the waitress did come she was not pleasant. Food was a little below average, the ribs looked awesome though I have to say, wish I got those! The nachos were good. The wings came all dried up and not Hott, pretty disappointing. I was personally a fan of the outdated, kind of atmosphere but I can see how people wouldn’t be. Overall, pretty blah of a place(when it come to food).

Over 15 years this pub has gone from an old school look but they have been adding improvements every couple yrs and I think it’s a very cozy place to have a dinner in a local neighborhood. They have a really delicious crab cake special on Thursday nights that rivals the crab cakes at Harris’s on Kent Island. I would say the same for the shrimp salad, my ultimate favorite. People like it, there are always people there having a good time. There are always going to be people that are very picky, but this place is a nice place to sit and have A comfort food dinner!

The atmosphere is definitely out dated. Somewhat scary. I’ve heard the ribs are outstanding. I made the mistake of getting the pulled chicken sandwich and it was beyond awful. The chicken was plain and had no sense of being grilled or smoked. The Barbq sauce tasted like it was old and out of a jar. Definitely don’t recommend

This was our 3rd time at this restaurant. The service tonight was excellent. Our waitress could not have been more attentive. My husband and I wanted to treat ourselves to a steak. We have many favorite places for steak, but we wanted to go somewhere unfamiliar. While we have been here before, each time we did not go back and each time we could not remember why. It’s the food. Everyone at the bar(it was crowded) appeared to be ordering sandwiches(burgers, etc). My husband and I ordered the Prime Rib — on special that evening. We both erroneous thought that since it was on special, it would be cooked fresh. We could not have been more wrong. First, our salads arrived with the most BLAND salad dressings I have every tasted. The Ranch and Blue Cheese were the worse«out of the bottle, 99 cents per gallon» crap I have ever tasted. My husband and I pushed our salads aside and waited in anticipation for the Prime Rib. The prime rib(ordered Medium) arrived correctly cooked but ICECOLD. It HAD to have just come out of the freezer or refrigerator. We both took a bite and sent it back. When the kitchen staff returned the same plate to us it was warm. The Prime Rib, however, was horrible tasting. Bland, bland, bland. I could not find a single piece of evidence that this piece of meat had been seasoned ATALL. It was NOT a PRIME piece of meat. It tasted like water. Seriously. If you are going to name your restaurant«T-Bonz», have a T-bone on the menu and LEARNHOWTOCOOKREDMEAT. I did not eat my meal at all. The waitress brought my husband and I a free dessert(bless her!). It was really, really good. I can’t make a comment about the sandwiches. Some folks seem to think the bar food is okay. I doubt that the hubby and I would even bother tasting the burgers. Think about it, when you arrive at a restaurant with great burgers/steak you can smell them cooking outside of the restaurant. Your mouth begins to water and you can’t wait to get your meal. Not here. I suspect the prime rib was microwaved and I would not doubt the burgers are boiled a week in advance, then microwaved to order. Someone should introduce the cook to a salt and pepper shaker. Don’t even think about ordering food here unless you are accustomed to poor quality food. Really. I am serious. For inexpensive Prime Rib try Shannon’s Saloon or Bare-Bones. Tasty. Drinks were excellent. Maybe they should changed their name.

Gotta love a place that infiltrates itself with homophobic, liberal hating folks This is my second time here and I love the food, staff is great and the place is nicely setup for watching games. But some of the folks that come here are living in 1960. I heard everything from I should order a curry beer to Indians are taking over all the jobs in Howard county Nice and classy folks who haven’t gotten the memo that howard county’s slogan is «choose civility» Anyways I take it as entertainment on a Sunday evening while my team is winning but it’s still sad to witness it this day in age

Smells. The wine and beer selection is nice and long. A few of us(ages 21 — 28) came here before our kickball game. The guys recommended that we all meet up here beforehand since they tend to go every other week or so(regulars), but us girls will most likely not return. I just held my wine up to my nose most of the time.

Pros * Very friendly and attentive staff * Great beer list * Delicious food — burgers and Reese’s Pie * Excellent prices * Fast service Cons * I can’t really think of any… may be they should have more entrees, but then again, they are a grille. We will definitely be visiting T-Bonz again.

Great beer selection… changes frequently. 40 beers on tap. Beer menu describes each beer nicely and tells you the price. Chris, the bartender is always informative and helpful. Have only ever had the apps here; nachos are delicious and so is the crab dip. Give the place a try you will be pleased after you sit down!

Great beers on tap. Good food. Definitely go! This place looks like a seedy dive bar from the outside. Its tucked away behind another building where you cant it from the street. Once you go inside, however, its a nice cozy atmosphere. I saw everyone from families with children to elderly couples there and nobody seemed out of place. This really is your family friendly neighborhood bar. I got the brisket sandwich with sweet potato fries. No greasy bar food here! The quality of this food is on par with that of some really nice burger boutiques that I’ve been to, but without the hipster burger price. I wanted to try everything I saw! I’ll definitely be a repeat customer. The music is good, top 40, not too loud, and they have several tv’s to watch the game. I went alone and still had a great time. Don’t know which beer to try? Buy a sampler and try 4 at a time in 5 oz mini glasses for $ 8. Did i mention they have 40 specialty beers on tap! Mostly from local and regional breweries. No Bud here! They also have really good weekday specials, like all day happy hour on Fridays and $ 6 any burger with a side on Mondays. The bartenders were friendly and attentive without being obnoxious. The food came out really fast and well plated. So, bring your friends, go alone, have a date night… watch the game, close a deal, plan a wedding, celebrate a game well played. Yes, I saw it all. But most importantly, this is not a place you want to pass up if you want good food, good beer, and a cozy atmosphere, at a great price.
