We are a package store, also known as the «Home of 33 Degree Beer.» We have a good selection of domestic & imported beer & wine.

Also featuring local craft beer, wine & hard cider. Several of these selections are available on draft, which you can get in sealed containers or «growlers» to go. We offer Hitching Post growlers or you can bring in your own for re-​fill.

Made to order pizza, sandwiches & wings. Call ahead for convenient pick up at our drive-​thru window.

History

Established in 1983.

At one time this was the only business in the area that sold alcohol, but always and still only able to sell beer & wine within the city limits of Ellijay.

Shortly after opening, a portion of the store was remodeled to support a small kitchen with a sandwich counter and a pizza oven. We are especially known for our pizza, voted best in Ellijay, and have established a following of regular customers over the years.

I was a business major in college and couldn’t wait to own my own business. I bought & operated a bar while still in school, then a small grocery store, then this, which is a combination of those things with less of the headaches.

I have also served as the Mayor of the City of Ellijay since 1997.
