Ankle & Foot Center of Elmhurst

I went to this clinic to have my fungus treatment, the clinic is not that clean and all the staff have that sad face.
The nurse wanted to start the treatment without the doctor looking at my feet. When i asked for the doctor she felt upset and brought me another upset person whom was the super rude doctor «dr. Zats»
I had one if the worst experience in my life with this dr.
I left the clinic with no service provided

I have visited Ankle and Foot Center in Elmhurst a few times and I can definitely say that I would recommend this establishment 100%. Dr. Zats listens and takes her time explaining your problem and the recovery process step by step. The staff is very friendly and gentle and make you feel at home.

So I purchased a groupon for this place and made an appointment for 3pm on a Wednesday. I took off work and drove 35 minutes to get there and got to downtown Elmhurst about 2 blocks from their office at around 2:40pm and was stopped for 20 minutes with two back to back freight trains. The second train then stopped dead in the tracks and not being familiar with Elmhurst, I called the office and explained that I had been sitting there and if there was an overpass I could use to get there. I could not believe how incredibly rude the receptionist was. «Oh you are late, we needed you here 20 minutes ago so the doctor can not see you.» So I reexplained that it was impossible for me to get there on time because of this train and that I had already spent almost an hour trying to get to the office! I said it seemed kind of unfair since this stopped train was not something I could control. It was as if she did not hear a word I said! If their receptionist’s attitude and personality is any indication of what happens when you actually get inside the doctor’s room I can’t imagine how unpleasant that experience would be. Called groupon and they did refund my money since they agreed this was incredibly unreasonable. If your time is worth anything which I’m sure it is you may want to go to another foot and ankle center because if there are any trains in the area, just head back home.

I have visited Ankle N Foot Centers a couple of times in 2011 and 2012. Around the same time I saw an orthopedic surgeon at Bone and Joint Institute, and was disappointed by the doctors indifference who said nothing was wrong, and that condition I was experiencing was probably in my head. 48 hours later, I could not longer bear any weight on my foot. I returned to Dr. Zats with an acutely painful inflammatory condition. I trusted her and was so glad talk to her at ease without being patronized. She zeroed in on the diagnosis with a laser-​like precision (old sesamoid bone fracture with an onset of arthritis). She was so compassionate and attentive, I almost cried. These are the most important qualities that a physician can have, and so hard to come by nowadays. I am so glad to see that she is still there, and is now a Chief Clinician and Surgeon. I say, she is a Star!
P. S. The supporting personnel at the Elmhurst location deserve an applause too. I would hire them any time to work at a veterinary hospital which I manage.

I used a Groupon for a manicure and pedicure. The difference between this service and a regular salon was that every utensil, buffer, etc came right out if a sealed bag. The foot bath even had a disposable liner. (Although it was not a jetted tub which was a drawback). Lee did a very thorough and careful manicure and pedicure. The rate of $ 35 for a sterile pedicure will have me coming back.
I don’t have any experiences with the other services they offer.

I agree fully with the poor treatment written about in the other reviews of the Ankle and Foot clinic in Elmhurst. I was floored when I received my bill from them as well. Warning .They never tell you how much they are charging you up front. I was asked if I wanted my ankle wrapped. Little did I realize that that 3 feet of bandage would cost me $ 85.00dollars each ankle!.that’s $ 170.00 a visit x 8 visits. This is why they want a credit card up front. I went to this office weeks never knowing that they would drop the hammer on me like that. I had other billable treatments too but this was unnecessary. In addition to this I left a few messages with the receptionist looking for the results of an MRI and never received a phone call back .I finally got a hold of someone at the office and was given a multitude of reasons why Doctor Zats will not be calling. She’s busy with patients for the next month and wont be able to call but where is your payment? I guess I was supposed to sympathetic to all the things going on in the doctors personal life that I was given as to why I did not receive a phone call. 6 weeks waiting is not long enough. I should have been more patient. This place has one agenda. Get people in the door, get there money get them out the door, send an over inflated bill. I advise anyone reading this to get pricing from anyone of these money draining doctor offices if you are the one who has to pay. To ad insult to injury the treatments received here were just voodoo medicine. Nothing has changed for me other than I will be a little poorer. Still waiting for the test results. I guess I will call next week again. DON’T GO HERE!

The entire office does not appear professional at all. The receptionists are rude and should be required to take sensitivity and management classes. The office appears to be much more interested in your money than treating hurting patients. Shame on all of you.

Very friendly environment and really great people. Couldn’t ask for a better staff. My foot injuries lead me to Dr. Zats’ care and fortunately she’s been making the whole experience much easier. She’s incredibly skilled and super nice. They have other locations as well which is quite convenient.

Came in for a manicure and pedicure. The place is small and private. There’s no music playing in the room where they are doing your nails. So its kind of awkward in there because its just you and the lady doing your nails. They have a nice massage chair you sit in and it feels relaxing. The lady carefully works on your nails. The nail tech was real rough on my feet. She cut my big toe too short that she made it hurt. She filed it down way too much, Her name was Dee. They don’t have a great selection of nail polishes to choose from so you may want to bring your own. There was only like 20 colors to choose from. The parking was easy and free. There was no customers in here when I got in here. Just me. But my appt was at 8:30am on a weekday so maybe that’s why.
They are super expensive. If only I did not have a youswoop here then I wouldn’t have gone. I would not come back.

Went here after my ankle started hurting for no real good reason. On the spot x-​rays determined that I had actually broken my ankle. The doctor was knowledgeable and recommended a conservative treatment of immobilization for about 8 weeks, in addition to physical therapy involving electrodes. Ankle cured.
pluses – fast appointments, x-​ray in office, good care.
negatives – didn’t have paperwork for handicapped card and didn’t fully explain physical therapy at first. also phone system hard to use when calling for appointment.

Great staff from front desk wendy’s great smile and medical assistances very helpful. Doctors very helpful and attentive to your needs. I have heel spurs on both on my feet and there doing a great job so far
