If I could give less than 1 star I would. I have NEVER EVER experienced such crap customer service in my life. And I’m in sales– I’ve seen it all.
It all began a few months back when my company changed their policy on expense reports. They no longer allow us to expense BOTH home phone and internet… we can only expense internet.
So I called AT&T to have them start sending 2 seperate statements each month to avoid any confusion. And now I am in a mess!
This incompetent company told me that in order to receive 2 seperate statements each month, I’d need 2 seperate accounts– meaning he had to split the 2 accounts and I’d have a brand new internet account #. OK, fine, I don’t care.
Well that’s where the problem lies. My new AT&T internet account number includes the letter «A» and apparently that just doesn’t exist. In fact one phone rep asked me if I’m certain I have AT&T? (No, dumbass, my statement says Vonage but I thought it’d be freakin fun to spend my time on the phone with AT&T).
In the last 2 months I’ve spent 6 hours (and counting as I’m currently on hold with AT&T, again) on the phone with them. No one can find me in the system. I keep asking, how is it possible to generate a statement every month if I don’t exist?
Then the most recent statement said they didn’t get my last check! I mailed it! What happened to it?! I even asked a phone rep if its possible this is some fraudulant account, she said gee, I don’t know, it could be. Gee, thanks!
Another phone rep had me drive over to Kinko’s to fax a copy of my statement into her because she thought if she SAW it, she could figure it out. Spent half her workday on it, and figured out… you guessed it… NOTHING!
Everytime I call I ask right away to speak with a supervisor. Can you believe that in 6+ hours on the phone with AT&T I’ve yet to successfully get a supervisor? They REFUSE. I even told one guy, look I know it reflects poorly on you when you put me thru to a supervisor, but this is ridiculous, PLEASE let me speak with a supervisor. He said excuse me? And hung up on me. I’ve been hung up on by an angry AT&T phone rep twice now.
Additionally multiple AT&T phone reps are physically and or mentally challenged in that they do not know how to transfer me to different departments, thus I keep getting hung up on, having to call back, and go thru all the same things with new reps.
I’ve had people tell me to just stop paying– right. And then when it turns out to be a REAL account and my credit is ruined then what?
I can’t even just call and cancel the account/​internet and start over with a new account/​internet because they can’t find me int he system TO cancel me!
And when my lease ends in August and I move out… I can’t transfer service either because they can’t find me in the system. Yet I continue to get statements? And if I don’t pay I ruin my credit?!
The rep who most recently had me on hold thought they had me set up with a California account, put me on hold for 14 minutes, and figured out that’s not it either!
It’s not a small business account, it’s not a residential account. It’s not California like he thought. It’s not a U-​Verse account.
I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO!
AT&T is the WORST company I have EVER done business with… they are a COMPLETE JOKE!
