Dr. Eric Huang, DDS

Eric Huang should NOT be practicing dentistry. This guy is a complete nut case.
I lived close by and for convenience this this dentist for about a year. Even with an appointment, sometimes I have to wait 2 to 3 hours. Even though there’s only 1 other
patience there.
He is a smoker, one time I was left with my mouth opened in the middle of a root cannel and he went to take a cigarette break. Very unprofessional.
Another time, he failed the wrong tooth. I ended having to do another root cannel due to the damages he did on the WRONG tooth.
After that incident, I finally went to another dentist in Astoria Dr. Kenneth. I told him my experience with Huang, and he wasn’t surprised.
I think the dentist community are aware of how bad Dr. Eric Huang is.
BEWARN! Do destroy your teeth with Dr. Eric Huang.

The clinic is clean and the staff are so friendly! I’ve had a great experience during my appointment. Everything was quick and the dentists here are efficient and informative. They make you feel comfortable and I am looking forward to my next appointment!

First off, all of the staff members are Chinese — the dentist, dental assistant and receptionist (yes, there are only THREE people working there.). They all have accents so if you’re not Chinese, you might have difficulty understanding them.
The office is part of a residential building. It’s in the basement, along with other Asian medical offices. Honestly, I felt like I was entering some shady alley, trying to find the right office. I guess that was the first clue telling me to find a new dentist.
Well anyway, I waited almost an hour to see Dr. Huang. Mind you, I had already set an appointment ahead of time. but I guess I didn’t really expec to be seen on time. During my hour wait, I saw TWO separate patients walk right in and skip the entire line. They both obviously were friends of the dentist. but still, HOW UNPROFESSIONAL AND VERY RUDE.
My appointment was for 5:30 and at 6:30, they finally asked me why I was here. I told them that I came for my regular check-​up and they sent me to a room, where I had to wait another 10 minutes for the dentist to finally see me. He literally cleaned my teeth for a good… 2 minutes and said he was finished. So I basically waited over an hour for a 2 minute cleaning that I could’ve probably done by myself with a cleaning kit!!! I know you’re probably hungry and antsy to go home, but to make me wait all that time to be seen for 2 minutes. is just plain WRONG.
You bet I switched dentists.
Oh, and two weeks later, my growing wisdom tooth was in pain for a few days. Um… why couldn’t the dentist tell me that I should take my wisdom tooth out? UGH!!!
I’m only giving one star because the receptionist was somewhat nice. Otherwise, this dentist deserves a big fat ZERO.
