Earlier today, I ordered sushi for $ 2.25. I wasn’t willing to pay more until I tasted the quality of the food. Unfortunately, this restaurant failed in every way, from food quality to hospitality. Allow me to give you a frame of reference. I am a female African-American/Latina mix. While I’m actually in my 30s, I do look like a college student. I’m only 5’3″, which is 160 cm to you metric users. First offense was the cashier. Short cropped black hair, in a striped shirt. The person looked to be in their 40s. Not only did this person address two patrons that where later in line before me, but when I inquired about what I should do, I was rudely, loudly told to ‘TAKE A SEAT. TAKEANYSEAT.’ in a tone much louder than the other patrons where spoken to. The second offense was when I was served the food. I could overlook the chipped plate of the food was decent. Unfortunately, it was not. Foul, rancid tasting sushi– the meat tasted as if it had gone bad. Trying to test this theory I had unwrapped the rice and seaweed to try to taste them separately. Only then I found out that it wasn’t just the meat, no. The entire sushi tasted off. Even for $ 2.25, this is inexcusable. The third, and by far and away the worst offense is after I took a seat, the cashier switched from their station to sitting behind me. For the 11 minutes I dined at this establishment, I felt as if I was being watched. When I completed my plate, I got up and left up the escalator to the direct right of the shop. I watched the shop as I was going up to see if my suspicions where correct. Lo and behold, after I left, the cashier took their place back at the register before I even set foot on the landing. The food is bad, the service is bad, and I was treated like a criminal. I did nothing to deserve this. So I cannot recommend this restaurant. Take your business elsewhere, to owners that will treat you with the respect that a paying customer deserves.

This place used to be awesome up until the sushi size kept shrinking; like seriously the size of the rolls are an insult compared to how they once used to be. The variety on the conveyer belt has become more limited, oh and there’s more: the prices have gone up for no reason since the quality of the food here has lacked tremendously. I can see why less and less people are here. Off to find a better sushi spot elsewhere. –NEXT!

Believe it or not this place is decent. Surprising to me as well, esp. to be in a Mall… Have eaten here like 10 times now, and have hit the happy hour many times. But like always nothing is ever perfect !!! There Happy Hour specials use to be 2 dollars a plate and had more options and more rolls per plate, last time i was there its now up to 2.25 per plate and less options and less pieces on the plate SMH. greed always catches up to decent places :(. at 2.00 a plate and more varieties and more on each plate was a good deal, but at 2.25 a plate with less options and less pieces per plate deff not worth it… :(. Sadly another place I will prolly not go again unless im starving and at the mall… But at this Mall i love that other place Sakura that is near it with the delicious teriyaki chicken plates. So to sum it up. use to love this place for the price and convenience and value of food for your money, but no longer :(… If i see they have put it back to 2 dollars a plate and better dishes with more pieces on the belt then maybe I will try them again !!!

Not so happy with this place anymore. Quality slipping and they raised the happy hour price to $ 2.25 a plate. Just go across the street to Tomo Japanese café.

Messed up my order twice, not to mention they were very rude about it! This place doesn’t seem very sanitary either

Sushi conveyor belt. Happy hour is at 7pm for $ 2.25 each plate any color plate. It’s not worth it. There were nothing there but bunch of tiny little rolls with imitation crab which is the cheapest stuff. They tried to make it looks like it’s worth it but you can see everything else other than the imitation crab is just tiny little bit. Not worth $ 2.25 for 3 tiny rolls. Spend your money else where.

I went to eat sushi with a couple friends yesterday, service was terrible and the sushi quality was terrible as well. I asked for spicy mayo but the server just passed by me and said give me a second. She didn’t come back till five minutes later, after I was already disgusted by the quality of the sushi. The rice that the sushi was made with was too sour, I couldn’t even taste the avocado, kani, and the cucumber. My friend ordered the beef teriyaki, the beef was very hard and hard to chew and the teriyaki sauce was made poorly as well. Watching the sushi rotating around and around, I realized how badly the pieces were cut. Some were uneven and others just looked disgusting. If you’re someone who wants good quality sushi, don’t come here, you will be very disappointed.

3.5 stars I had a hour wait for an Apple appt. so we wanted some sushi instead of trying something at the food court. L was reaching for one of the plates on the conveyor belt the second he sat down. I know others might come for that, but seriously it’s sushi that sits around for who knows how long… If you happen to consume one that sits around for too long… You should’ve known better. The fish literally looks like it’s melting. It was around 3pm; they have lunch specials. So I enlightened L on the benefits of getting something freshly made. 3 rolls for $ 10.49? Great deal… Why bother with old sushi sitting around. The selection was pretty basic… Your average sushi rolls, I think we had shrimp tempura, california, Boston, spicy Kani and 2 eel avocados. They definitely looked better than the ones sitting around and I’m pretty sure they tasted better as well. For a place at the mall, the rolls were great, I’d rather eat this than fast food. They weren’t falling apart at least. Definitely better than what I’ve had at Tomo. I won’t give 4 stars since a lot of the rolls that were on the conveyor belt really didn’t look appetizing at all and the prices are a bit high for the«special» rolls. Seriously $ 6.50 for 3 – 4 pieces. If I’m gonna pay $ 13 for 1 roll, I want mine fresh… and not from a place at the mall. Still a pretty decent place for lunch considering what’s available(sushi) in the area.

The price is kind of expensive especially if the conveyor belt serve too little sushi per plate. They also increase the price by 0.25 cents. In Japan and other sushi restaurant, its a $ 1.00 per plate depending on the dish. Overall, wish they add more sushi in their plate for that kind of price. They also need more variations.

I went to the food court around lunch time and noticed there’s a conveyor belt sushi! I never seen that before so I absolutely wanted to try it out. The prices were reasonable, i got two plates because I wasn’t that hungry. The eel rolls were so tasty and fresh! Soft and flavourful. The second plate however, has been sitting too long on the belt and the batter was no longer crispy-bummer. I am surprised there wasn’t many people at Kido Sushi at lunch time, the dishes would be more fresh if there were! I think I overtipped the waitress by accident, but oh well, I’m still a fan for the experience. Be careful of how much you can eat– it’s like a buffet that keeps coming at you!

Went here just for the novelty of it. I knew my wife hadn’t seen anything like this before and thought she’d get a kick out of it. The sushi was good and fresh. Price was a little more than usual, but given the novelty, was worth it. Sushi on a conveyor belt!

If you’re getting food from the conveyer belt, only go during happy hour. Its great! Three pieces of $ 2 sushi and they’re pretty and fancy. I love the fried Californian rolls. Go during happy hour!

Awesome place for a quick grab! Their lunch special deal is unbeatable. A must have is their fried California roll, its the best! I’ve never had an issue with the quality or the quantity.

Sushi is good and fresh because the conveyer belt has to be restocked constantly and the sushi guy has to keep making sushi. You could tell just on the color and taste of the salmon that it’s good salmon. They charge by color of the plate, for example: white plate are $ 2:00, blue plates are $ 5:00, orange ones are 6:00, etc. Not bad for mall sushi and if you need a quick fix.

Soooooooooo Kido Sushi is a surprisingly decent sushi/Japanese food spot tucked away in the food court of the Queens Center Mall. I’ve eaten here a few times though and while they may not serve the world’s best sushi, it’s pretty damn good given their location. My favorite rolls here are their inside/out crispy eel, salmon tempura and their tempura shrimp. What also makes this place special is their fun conveyer belt(not my first conveyor belt sushi place, but still the only one I have seen in Queens) and their happy hour(which starts at 7pm!) which means every plate on the conveyer belt becomes $ 2. Their happy hour is especially great because you can see their sushi chefs hard at work and new things coming out in real-time so it’s not like you’re getting food that’s been sitting out forever. $ 2 for fresh sushi, sashimi, salads and more during happy hour? Awesomepants. They also have delicious sparkling, peach saki and a full menu of things you can order should nothing on the conveyer belt catch your eye. This place is a steal!

Conveyor belt sushi? Why not? Tucked away inside the Queens Center Mall is Kido Sushi, which is located downstairs in the food court. Now being such a HUGE fan of all things sushi I decided to check this place out. On this particular day they were having a happy hour special and all plates(any color) were $ 2. It is decent sushi and you might have a couple of options to choose from, including salad plates. However, if you’re looking to do more than just snack on something I would recommend looking elsewhere. It wasn’t too bad, but it wasn’t great either.

I like this sushi place a lot. At 7pm they have happy hour & all the sushi plates are $ 2! Which awesome because a single plate of 4 sushies alone can cost you $ 6. The sushi is always fresh because they keep making them constantly. If you want cheap tasty sushi, this is the spott c:
