Dr. Higgins practices general and cosmetic dentistry in an office in Elmhurst, IL which has been founded in 1987.

He received his dental education at Loyola Dental School and graduated in 1986.

He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1978 from Illinois Benedictine University in Lisle, IL.

He also received an Associates Degree from Triton College in Dental Technology which allowed him to be dental technician and work in the dental labs fabricating dental restorations.

I have been to many dentists in my lifetime. Mike, his hygienist and receptionist are a real team. They actually care about you. I had been in need of some oral care for a long time and put it off for way too long. It is because like many people I was afraid of the pain that it would take to feel as good as I do now. I wish there was a higher rating than 5 stars because the entire staff deserves a 10… Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you are all wonderful people, doing wonderful things to make people feel better.

My wife and I moved to Elmhurst last January from Ohio. Getting a new dentist was on my list of things to do, but I never seemed to get around to it. Then I broke an incisor pulling up the spout on a water bottle with my teeth (lesson learned). Fortunately, I found Dr. Higgins. His office got me in that same afternoon and Dr. Higgins did a great job fixing the tooth. I’ve been back several times since for routine checkups and a couple of fillings. The entire staff is friendly and courteous and I never feel rushed. Most important, the dental work has been top-​notch.

Dr. Higgins is a very competent. I needed a filling replaced and I did not have a local dentist so a friend referred me. Dr. Higgins staff were able to fit me in the same day I called. It was an old amalgam filling and after talking with Dr. Higgins I had him replace it with a white composite filling. He did a good job and the visit was not unpleasant, as far as a dentist goes anyway. I urge anyone looking for a dentist to give Dr. Higgins a try.

I was being kept up all night by a painful and throbbing toothache. I knew I had to do something ASAP about this problem. Thankfully Dr. Higgins and his friendly staff came to my rescue in relieving my pain. A painless pulpectomy was performed and provided immediate relief. Thanks guys!

Dr. Higgins and his staff were the best at making me feel at ease going to a new dentist. They were great with getting me in right away when I was in pain, they handled all my insurance billing for me without any problems, I will recommend Dr. Higgins to all my family and friends.

I had been going to Dr. Higgins for 2 years, driving 10 miles each way. I found him in a bartering organization. Once I obtained Dental Insurance, In-​Network and 100% coverage, Dr. Higgins’ staff had verified my benefits. I ask Dr. Higgins what the benefits were, since he wanted to see me every THREE months, and he assured me that since I am a «perio patient» that I am qualified to have four COVERED cleanings per year, with benefits up to $ 1000. The EOBs come and there was no coverage for more than two per year. The bill then comes out to $ 470.80. FOR 2 NON-​COVERED CLEANINGS. I asked if this was a mistake. He negotiated a 20% discount. I review the verbal information with them and they will not honor it. THIS OFFICE GOUGED ME AND SENT ME TO COLLECTIONS, AFFECTING MY CREDIT. Patient Beware.
