I ordered the shrimp combo it came with a biscuit, a side dish and a drink. The place is pretty clean and it wasn’t busy due to the rain today, anyways due to my great popeyes experiences i saw it was in 80 street right next to the train station, and thought what luck! Long story short the shrimp were so tiny i was eating twice as much bread batter than shrimp itself lol! The side dish of rice beans was not awful, wasn’t expecting much, and the biscuit was good. The customer service was great, and the wait time was short. My recommendations is don’t order the shrimp!

Seriously people, where are you getting this chicken from? I had to write an update after stopping in there on Friday night. OMG! Are you frying spoiled chicken meant for the garbage. I had a stomach ache the rest of the night. I should have known to just walk out of there after the cashier could not differentiate between a thigh and a drum stick. I have myself to blame because I vowed never to go in there again. Also, how do you get corn on the cob wrong. Even the corn was disgusting. Does the the Dept. of health still do inspections? Totally annoyed!!! Read less

Walked in over the weekend to satisfy my chicken cravings but the Indian girl at the register was so rude I decided never to go back there again. She just seemed miserable at her job/life and took it out on everyone else. I will also be telling everyone I know not to go back there again. So then I went to the Popeyes on Queens Blvd — service was like night and day. They actually treat you like a customer should be treated and the chicken was actually better seasoned anyway.

Looking something quick and good to eat, we hopped off the 7 train at 82nd street and looked around. The restaurant was a few stores from the subway so it was great for us. We ordered the 5 piece and 3 piece meal to go. The cashier was courteous and gave us great service with a smile. The chicken was delish as usual. Will come back again.

This is the better of the locations in the area(I avoid the one by Elmhurst –http://www.yelp.com/biz/popeyes-louisiana-kitchen-elmhurst –like the plague). The chicken seems to be cooked at just the right intervals to be hot and fresh every time I go. The cashiers are usually very nice and do their best to be helpful(most of the time without managerial guidance or supervision). Best of all, this location recently started posting coupons at . Visit the site, print out a coupon, put on some stretchy pants and schlep over to 82nd Street.

Sad that KFC on Queen’s Blvd is no longer in business. Recently they opened a Fried Chicken place merely 2 blocks away from where I live. GOSH i’m going to Gain so much weight!!! YOUAREEVILCHICKEN! I can see this place will be BOOMING like McDonalds. is everywhere!, you can’t Escape from them! — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – Yes, i’m one of the victims who will usually buy a bucket of Original fried chicken and take it home. Is greasy, but once in a blue moon won’t give you a heart attack. But no matter what, I still love KFC’s flavor than Popeye’s

Thank goodness there’s a Popeye’s right by me. It’s still a bit different from the Popeye’s in ATL&FL but this is the closest I will get to some good ol’ fried chicken. I forget how cheap ATL&FL popeye’s is, I normally only spend $ 5 on a whole meal down south but here I put out $ 9 – 10 on a full meal — womp womp On the upside this location is extremely clean since it is brand new and the employees here are highschool kids which I support!

From Louisiana where the Southern hospitality comes to the East Coast! Retail store #11041 that sits in Elmhurst, Queens directly adjacent to the 7 train on 82nd Street station. Albeit, KFC is not my cup of tea but Popeye’s is not the typical American chain as it hones a Louisianan flair. A four piece chicken meal of mild spicy heat index accompanies two sides and one drink totaled $ 8.70 which is more than what one gains at KFC. Amid the meal includes a drink, by choice alone, I refused. Customer service is attentive without the typical abrasive callous and curt. It’s that Southern charm where it hits the heart SINCERELY!

The chicken was dry and there was hardly any meat on the bones. Worst of all, the service left a lot to be desired. My order went something like this: Me: Can I get the two-piece chicken, uh, bonafide? Girl: Just the chicken or the meal? Me: The meal, thanks. (after paying and looking at the receipt) Me: Uh, I wanted two pieces, not three… Girl: No, you said you wanted meal number three. Me: No… I’m pretty sure I said two pieces…(gives girl a «if I ordered by meal #, why did you ask me if I wanted just the chicken or the meal» look) Girl:(while giving me a «too lazy to change the order» look) What if I give you an extra biscuit? Me: Ah, whatever, sure.(feels bad for girl; at least she tried to make up for it, right?) I later discovered that instead of giving me an extra biscuit to smooth things over with me, she gave me the extra biscuit INSTEADOF the third piece of chicken. My fault for not anticipating her further stupidity, I suppose? Not a great first impression, guys. This store just open recently. I got the special of 11 pieces of fried chicken for $ 10.99. They gave me 2 breasts, 3 thighs, 3 legs, and 3 wings. It was very juicy and the skin was crispy. They have other specials. They have a couple of tables. The chicken are spicy or mild. Some of the side orders are: –french fries –cajun french fries –corn on the cob –cole slaw –rice and bean Not bad for the price.

I’m so happy there is a Popeyes in the neighborhood now. It’s been my favorite fast food fried chicken place since I first ate their spicy fried chicken in New Orleans when I was a kid! I tried this new location out this past weekend. It’s conveniently located right next to the 82nd train stop. I ordered a 2 piece meal to go to share with my boyfriend. I asked to have 2 chicken breasts for an additional charge. When I got home I noticed that they only put 1 chicken breast and 1 thigh instead of 2 breasts! I called and spoke to the manager Rafiq. He was super friendly, apologized for the mix-up and said that I could stop by a get a free chicken breast. I went today and Tao at the register helped me. I explained my situation and got a 2 piece meal to go for free. Like their jingle says, love that chicken from Popeyes!
