I started to come here more often and I have to admit, I started to like this bakery. The employees are very nice and welcoming. However, their rolls/sandwiches come out different every time. Sometimes I’ll have the perfect amount of bacon and then the next, I literally have 2 small pieces of bacon. So hard to catch the right person to make your food. Only drink I been drinking here is their hot tea. I’m so happy they have honey instead of sugar. The tea I likely get is Raspberry Hibiscus. They have morning rush hour. During the morning, the students from my school go here because it’s the only bakery around. Morning rush hour is approximately around 7AM-8:40AM. Try not to come during this time in the weekdays. Trust me, you won’t get your food. I only recommend this place if you’re in the neighborhood. Other than that, head down to the grand for more food options for a cheaper price.

Hidden is an understatement! I didn’t even know This Place was Open for business until I tried to Go in but the door was locked or closed tightly. Even Though the employee saw me she made no attempt other than to stare. Looks like an abandoned spot what a Shame cause location is pretty good.

I love their chocolate almond flourless(cup)cake! It’s moist and delicious. They also have some good cheese sticks, which I think are recently added in the menu. The servers are so sweet and friendly! One of the reasons I keep coming back! I highly recommend this place, especially on a rainy day when you just need something sweet and warm!

Service is very slow. They advertise taking credit cards but she said they don’t anymore and refused to take the stickers off the window. Their sign for not taking credit cards is «we don’t have points for credit/debit cards» — why don’t you just say you don’t take cards?! I asked as soon as I walked in if they took credit and the girl at the counter said yes they did. She waited until I chose my products and beverages to tell me that they didn’t take it. Thanks for wasting my time.

I always walk by this place and I have been meaning to stop in. This is just a review for the iced coffee. The small size is $ 2.00 and the large size is $ 2.50. The employees are very friendly and the ice coffee has a good kick to it. I usually don’t like to get iced coffee because the ice melts and then the coffee becomes very watery. I made an exception when I went because it was insanely hot out and I felt like I was going to melt into a puddle. When the ice melted, the coffee still had a good flavor, which I appreciated. I will update my review when I stop in for some baked goods.

This place is great. Aside from the delicious muffins and flan that I’m obsessed with, their burgers are amazing! Pretty big at a reasonable price and the fries are delicious as well. The staff is super friendly. Only 4 stars because the place is pretty small.

Needed breakfast while waiting for laundry to come out of the washers at the nearby Laundromat. This is the closest place. It was actually more like lunch time. Honestly, I didn’t wanna pay Manhattan prices for their lunch items. I ordered a mixed vegetable quiche, banana chip muffin, and iced coffee. All this came to $ 9.73. A little steep in my opinion for a location like this. You can actually get a real meal for that price. I think I may be able to get cheaper in the city. The mixed vegetable quiche consists of string beans and zucchini. nothing special and pretty bland. Banana chip muffin pretty good, love the crunchy top, but a bit too doughy. Iced coffee pretty good. I understand everything is homemade here. That’s cool, but I do think it’s a bit overpriced. I’d say they charge city prices. Another thing is most of their items do not have signs telling you what they are. Signs with prices are very helpful. Helps the customers and helps the staff. Customers don’t wanna be asking you what every item and its price is. That’s annoying for both parties. Some people like myself don’t like asking questions and end up walking out. It’s a nice place. They fixed it up very nice compared to when they first opened. But they can use some minor improvements and price decreases.

Love their grilled salmon and home made mash potato. Now they have homemade lemonade and homemade rasberry lemonade for the summertime!

Most of the time I’m in a rush to catch the bus, so I haven’t tried much else except the blueberry muffin(and iced coffee). What I love about it is the crumb topping and the cornmeal that’s added to give a moist and grainy texture. I have been tempted for quite some time to imitate their awesome muffin myself. However, I keep stalling because I want to keep supporting the bakery. It’s my usual and I won’t be changing anytime soon! Note to self: I really must try the other pastries! Will update when I do… The place is nice and cozy. It seems they have been changing the layout to add more tables. The cashiers are friendly though once I witnessed them being micromanaged by some jerk(maybe the owner or manager), which annoyed me because they were doing a fine job tending to us customers. To end on a positive note, the bakery offers a good variety of pastries and a cozy place to sit. Worth a visit.

I was shocked to find this amazing bakery so close to home. Its across the street from the Supermarket and next to the vet. The pastry here are so, so good that I think I found a new place to go after work to pick up something sweet. Love the prices and so far a great fine in Queens.

The Torta Della Nonna is DELICIOUS. There is toasted pine nuts on top, custard inside the pastry crust. OMG. That was really really really good. The Chocolate Croissant to me tasted more like bread than a flaky croissant. The texture is just not quite there for me. It is not crispy on the outside and not layered like a real croissant. I didn’t taste much butter. It’s shaped like a croissant but it definitely is not a buttery layered croissant. Should called it chocolate bread. But the«Chocolate Almond Flourless» is quite yummy. I gotta come back to try the«Almond Pockets.» I love almonds. The tarts I gotta try. Wondering about the crust if the crust is buttery and yummy. Scared to try since the croissant was too bread-like. Croissants and tart shells sometimes don’t taste right but I would give another chance. Some items are SUPER great, some are just okay but then again I find that with every place out there… everyone does one thing better than another, it’s just a matter of knowing everyone’s strengths.

Hidden in my neighborhood is a little known bakery Tanto Dulce. The have a small counter area and only a couple of small tables & chairs where locals hangout. Tanto Dulce does not look like much from the outside but when you go inside you’ll see a full bakery cranking out goodies by the rack full to supply other bakeries. Their prices are very reasonable compare to other bakeries of this quality. My favorites are– Chocolate Almond Flourless $ 2.25– Oh so good! Full of chocolate goodness. Rate 5⁄5. French Pear Tart $ 3.25– Light & delicious! Not too sweet. Rate 4⁄5. Chocolate Croissant $ 3.25– fluffy outer layer and dark chocolate filling. Very good. Rate 4⁄5. Tip: The bakery is right across the street from the Stop & Shop Mall.
