I have had a chronic cough/​lung condition that’s been diagnosed/​misdiagnosed for over a year and a half. I was given multiple inhalers which helped temporarily but I was never really able to fully breathe the way I used to while on those inhalers, and I was also starting to experience serious side effects from it. My cousin told me about acupuncture, so I did some research and came across this place and I am SO glad I found it. I’ve only had one session so far but at one point during the session, I could literally feel my lungs just open up and I could now take in deep breathes without having a coughing fit, which I haven’t been able to do in a long time. The doctor and receptionist were both very sweet and made me feel comfortable (I was a little nervous at first), but they were warm and welcoming, which I loved. I know I have to continue going for treatment for a few weeks before I really notice an improvement, but I am very pleased with the results already.

My aunt saw Dr. Woo for treatment for Bells Palsy and within a few weeks her face was no longer droopy. Not only that — my aunt’s symptoms were so bad that her doctors told her it may be up to a year for her to see improvement — she had dizziness and great pain. Dr. Woo was able to help her alleviate the pain and give her solid advice. She is a truly caring doctor. Highly recommend!

Dr Woo is the best!
After so many visits to all kind of doctors, ultrasound, xrais, no one was able to find out what was wrong with me. I had swollen finger joints, elbow pain, shoulder pain. And then i decide to go to Acupuncturist. I googled and on the Unilocal i find out Dr Wan Mei Woo. I was surprised with reviews and went to see her. In 10 minutes she was able to tell me what was wrong with me. I had big knots in my arms near biceps and some other small ones in other parts of my arm muscles. My problem was my lhasa. This happen from my dog puling me unexpectedly, those jerking moves when dog on the leash and pulling me. I did not pay attention, 20 pound dog. Who knew. It was surprise and shock for me. So she gave me needles and she did Graston technique massage. 30min later i was pain Free and no swollen stiff joints! I cried like a baby. It was like a magic to me. After 3 visits to rheumatologist who was measuring only my swollen finger joints every time i went there… i have no words… So i’m very happy what i did, she helped me! I did recommended Dr Woo to so many people that i know and i will keep telling everyone about Dr Woo from Woodside.

The best place for accupunture. Really nice lady (Dr. woo), and she’s really helpful too. Just tell her which part of your body is hurt, and she just do her stuff, and it’s really work! She’s not gonna required you to come back again to her unless it’s necessary. Usually for me, I just see her whenever If something is not right (like I twisted my foot, or something else) and when I’m finished from there. It’s all good again. Botom line, I Recommend to everyone that I know.

The Doctor has addressed all of my ailments from tight muscles to sinus infections to stress related afflictions. It is never painful and I find the treatments work well. The prices are manageable. Unfortunately they do no take my insurance, but GHI isn’t progressive enough to have something like acupuncture on their plan.

I went to see Dr. Woo for help with some respiratory issues mainly a persistent cough that would not quit. I had been to see 2 other medical doctors and none of the pills, inhalers or a prescribed cough medicine worked. One Dr even told me wait another month and get a chest x-​ray which made no sense. I could not get by an hour without coughing not to mention trying to sleep.
So I decided to try Dr Woo. and I can only say I wish I had come sooner. AFTER just one treatment I stopped coughing and was able to get a good night’s rest without being knocked out by my prescription strength medicine!!! I highly recommend Dr. Woo.

This was my first experience with acupuncture and I’m so glad it was with Dr. Woo! She is such a sweet woman who made me feel so, so comfortable.
I came in to see Dr. Woo because I had been put on birth control to regulate my periods after having been diagnosed with PCOS. After about 6 months, I decided to stop taking the pills because the side effects were terrible and I was just exhausted. My sister urged me to do more research on the Pills from Hell and everything kept pointing to cancer, so I decided I really wanted to pursue a more natural remedy.
I explained all of this to Dr. Woo during my initial consultation. She listened intently and made me feel like she genuinely cared, which is so hard to come by in the healthcare field (traditional medicine or otherwise *rolls eyes*). She knew exactly what my current health situation was and what lifestyle changes I should make simply by taking my history, pulse, and examining my tongue. I was freaked out but so excited!
Then started the acupuncture. The only way I knew she was actually sticking needles into my body is because she told me exactly what she was doing and where she was placing them throughout the entire process — you really don’t feel a thing. She covered me with one of those aluminum foil blankets and left me in the room to eventually fall asleep to the sounds of waterfalls lol
The office is clean, very small, very relaxing, but not very private at all. There are two examining «rooms» that are separated by a wall, so you don’t see anyone else but you can hear exactly what’s going on and what’s being said in the «room» next door. Honestly, it’s the only drawback to the practice in my opinion.
The man who works at the front desk is also very nice. The office calls a day or two ahead of your appointment to remind you and confirm. Each session is $ 50 without insurance, and an additional $ 30 for the initial consultation. It can get very pricey but they do accept some insurance plans so be sure to call and ask.
I am happy to say that only after 4 sessions with Dr. Woo (which was all I could afford as she would also «prescribe» these special-​blend GROSS teas she put together right in the office for an additional fee), I have gotten my period for 7 months straight, and all while off the birth control pills. I’m not 100% sure it’s due to the acupuncture treatment but I’d like to believe so. I have spoken with my doctor (speaking of the rare breed of caring health care professionals, look for Dr. Adeeti Gupta if you need an OBGYN!) about the treatment and she was ecstatic to see my hormone levels return to normal, and also encouraged me to return to Dr. Woo should the need arise.
I highly recommend acupuncture to anyone looking for natural remedies to any health concerns they may have, and if you are in the Queens area I especially recommend Dr. Woo. She is awesome :)

I’ve been seeing Dr. Woo for about 3 months and she has help me so much. I have a lot of problems with my neck, knees and lower back due to a herniated disc. She has been extremely helpful in helping me deal with the chronic pain. I highly recommend her, I’ve seen first hand how successful she is with patients that are trying to get pregnant. She has wonderful bedside manner and is so positive and understanding.

Dr. Woo is the best! After having migraines for many years, I was willing to do anything for them to stop. I did some research online and based on the reviews I gave her a try. After seeing her 7 times, my migraines were completely gone and I have not gotten another migraine. She is a very caring person and her staff is very friendly. I am going to see her again for my back!

My mom went to see Dr. Woo after years of leg, shoulder, and neck pain. After one session my mom felt so much relief. She had gone to many acupuncturist for 5 years and nothing helped. Dr. Woo is amazing! Her staff is friendly and so is Dr. Woo. She makes you feel comfortable and doesn’t pressure you. I would recommend her.

She is wonderful! i believe it was my sessions with Wan Mei Woo that helped me get pregnant. I was going through IVF at the time and also having accupuncture. I now have a beautiful baby girl. I am older and the chances of me being able to conceive were about 10%. I had been through one round without accupuncture that failed. I really believe this is what helped.

God bless you Dr. Woo! After many miscarriages I decided to try out acupuncture. I was going once a week for my sessions. 5 sessions later, I got pregnant. She also gave me some herbs to drink, I warn you it doesn’t taste good at all (but it’s worth it at the end) and am now on my 2^nd trimester with a little girl! I don’t know how acupuncture works, but I swear by it that it works! And I recommend it to anyone that is trying to conceive. Thank you so much for helping me. Prices are also affordable.

I went to Dr. Woo after 5 years of trying to conceive with not a single BFP. After only 3 treatments I got pregnant. Even though sadly it was an ectopic, I believe that acupuncture and herbs helped me get pregnant. The baby was healthy with strong heartbeat but in the wrong place. I will definitely come back to Dr. Woo when I’m ready to start trying again.

The moment I met Dr. Woo I knew at once that I will like her. I never had any acupuncture session and was nervous to say the least. She made me feel at ease without even trying. She has a warm smile and genuine concern. She asked me what brought me to her clinic, I enumerated my major to minor issues. She took my pulse and looked at my tongue but not in a clinically practiced way — she has a nice, warm personal touch in everything she does. She mentioned on our first session that I’m a light sleeper and that acupuncture will help fix that. The next day I noticed how much better I had slept. Since then, I make sure that I book a session at least once a week. I highly recommend her. I even brought my mother and my husband there. We all love her! She also has excellent staff. real nice people. I’m glad to have found her.

The office is quaint and clean, located on the first floor of a house. The staff, which consisted of Dr. Woo and two men, were all amicable, welcoming and approachable.
There were a few people there as first timers as well.
It was my first time doing acupuncture and I was skeptical, but hearing so many great things about it and reading how good Dr. Woo is, I wanted to judge for myself. Following a brief consultation with Dr. Woo where she took notes and listened about my aches and pains, we started with the acupuncture. I didn’t feel a thing. I was expecting a little pinch, but not even.
The rooms were very basic and the walls are very thin like another reviewer noted, but overall I liked the environment. I’m already feeling better and look forward to continuing with Dr. Woo to see how well this can really work, so as of right now I definitely recommend Dr. Woo’s services.

It isnt super fancy office. but the PRODUCT & if it works is what matters.
So Id really have anyone visiting to keep that in mind.
I dont know if this is a miracle lady or not, but she comes extremely well reviewed.- so we met yesterday.
The house is an unassuming residence. the office is first floor.
The staff was exceptionally warm and accommodating.

I could hear the guy next door happy to return as well. The walls are thin.
I went for fibroid tumor treatment, she was very understanding and nice.- she REALLY seemed like she knew what she was doing.
She applied the acupuncture and fire &I haven’t had pain or bleeding in the area since.

Dr. Woo is amazing. I went to see her after nearly a year of trying to conceive and within 2.5 months of weekly treatment from Dr. Woo (acupuncture + herbs) I was pregnant. I also noticed that Dr. Woo’s treatment helped with my stress, digestion, and acne. Dr. Woo is so knowledgeable and clearly has a passion for her work. Not only that, but she is kind and has a gentle, calming bedside manner. I am so happy I found her and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking to try Chinese medicine for fertility or other purposes.

My review for Dr. Woo is long over due, but its better late than never.
I can not thank Dr. Woo enough for helping me become pregnant after almost a very frustrating and heart breaking half a year trying to conceive on our own. I was told to go the IVF route by another Dr. due to my age but I was not comfortable with that. I wanted to go toward a non-​evasive natural route. I thought why not acupuncture as I remember my mom seeking acupuncture for her ailment and after some research I found Dr. Woo. I am currently 21 weeks preggers now and we can’t be any happier. I took the herbs and other recommendations as Dr. Woo suggested. She doesn’t try to over sell you or tell you things you don’t need to hear and better yet have a Dr. who leaves you to wonder on your own after a treatment. She personable and knows what she is doing and talking about. In addition, her office is convenient to public transportation and also accept insurance so just ask her staff. I just want to say that Dr. Woo is the best out there. I was suffering from a severe and debilating headache. I even went to the Emergency Room. They found nothing. Thank god! They sent me home and told me to take advil etc. and so the headaches continued. I had missed work for a couple of days due to the headache. I started searching the web. It was pretty late so no one would take me except for Dr. Woo. I told her it was an emergency and that I could not deal with the pain. She was warm and welcoming even when i was making the appt. She gives you that mom feeling. You just want to hug her and tell her to make you feel better. Which she did and I did give her a big hug for taking away my headache. She is worth it. She’s excellent! Thumbs up for Dr. Woo :-)

Dr Woo is the best Acupuncturist. She is very patient, considerate and caring. Before I saw Dr. Woo, I was looking for the best Acupuncturist to help my health problems. I had gone to a very expensive Acupuncturist in NYC as I heard the owner is popular who wrote a book about fertility, however, her team did not improve my conditions at all.
I have lupus that cause joints pain of the fingers, wake up often during the night, bad cramping during my period. After couple treatments from Dr. Woo, I noticed my overall health has significantly improve. In the past, I have to take 2 Advil every 6 hrs during my period but now I do not need to take any pain killer. Also, my fingers joints pain has been reduced. The most important, I can sleep thought the whole night.
So, I am highly recommended Dr Woo. She is the best Acupuncturist.
