The Cleaning Authority

Cleaning service only came once and the crew was great.
However, the way the business is run is unacceptable. Bait and switch situation where one price and cleaning duration was agreed to, then priced higher. Unprofessional and disorganized management and communication, no shows, etc.
Found replacement in the area that is MUCH better at communicating and holding to our agreed price.

I called Cleaning Authority and they gave me the price for the first appointment. What they omitted is that the price was per hour. The cleaning was ok, they didn’t move things, just cleaned around but the bathrooms and kitchen looked fine. I called when I got the bill (paid by credit card) as it was quite shocking. They stayed for four hours and the bill was over $ 350. I tried to explain that I never heard the woman I originally spoke to mention that the price was per hour. She just kept arguing with me telling me I was wrong. I never, ever, ever would have let them come if I knew that. I was led to believe that this was the price for a 1^st visit. While I understand the need to charge by the hour, this is definitely something I would never have agreed to. It was never mentioned to me and I had a back and forth argument with the manager that was, frankly, very unprofessional on her part. Trying to call the number on the cc statement has been futiile as they never call back. I would never recommend them as their public relations attitude is appalling.

Been using them for years and they’re solid, reliable and get my house very clean. I’m alway so happy to come home and find the place looking much tidier and cleaner than I ever could.

I don’t doubt that they would have done a decent job cleaning… if they actually showed up! Was a no-​show for the estimate. After a phone call and email on my part, I finally got the «family emergency» line. Usually at that point I would cut my losses… but gave them the benefit of the doubt. I stressed several times that the cleaning needed to be done on a specific date (we were moving out). Did not hear from the company until 2PM on moving day… via email… to tell me they «didn’t have anyone available.» Luckily, their unprofessionalism from the get-​go tipped me off and I had another cleaning person lined up.

If you have very low expectation for cleaning, this is the service to use. I had used them to clean my house and they did awful job. The company has a standard way of doing things and can not deviate from them. They simply can not do detail and thorough cleaning I needed. The crews I dealt with do not speak or understand English well making communication difficult. The management is not readily avaialbe nor professional. If you refuge to pay for the awful service, she’ll be onto you like a starving vampire.
