Cradles To Crayons

I have been a «cradles» mom since 2012. My 3&5 yr old have been excited about school since day 1. I am surprised at the negative reviews on this website. We feel that our kids have excelled and excited about my daughter entering kindergarten in Sept 2016. She is more than well prepared. Mrs Laura loves these kids like her own and the teachers have been a positive influence of our kids lives… i am proud to be apart of the cradles to crayons family!

One of the hardest things I ever had to probably the hardest thing was having to decide where to send my boys at 1 year and 3 years old for childcare. I had to go back to work full time do to a medical condition that made my husband have to stop working immediately.
This was at the same time my mom just unexpectedly passed Hard time in my life but as a mom My 2 sons are the WORLD to me. So I really did my research to find the best place for my babies. I visited I spoke to many places on phone. Right away there was something about Laura. She spent over an hour on the phone with me. Answering all my questions and concerns in detail. No other facility manager spent that time with me. And at the visits. Same thing. Laura really explained everything in detail. Other facilities did the quick tour and the shirt answers and hand outs ant that was it.
We felt immediate warmth from Laura and her facility.
So at 1&3 my boys started full time at cradles. Best decision I ever made! The care, the schooling. Unbelievable! Right up there with places like kinder-​care and Other facilities that are very very expensive. And j also felt very comfortable about how things were handled when it came to things like biting. Other bumps and scrapes from kids being kids. Laura always called abs let me know right away if something happened. I felt extremely comfortable and confident of the care they received each and every day from all the employees. And Laura would not tolerate inexperienced or lax employees. She cares so much about her business and the kids she would only want the best in caretakers.
The employees went above and beyond in my 5 years of sending my boys, the boys both learned more than I could ever imagine. And not just that. The social skills and learned and experienced great compassion thanks to Laura and her staff.
And as my boys are now in grade 1&3 I can see the difference with kids that did not have this great care like we received at cradles. My kids are both very smart and have the best social skills. I get compliments all the time about all these characteristics that of course I have a little to do with but by sending my children to Laura she had so much to do in molding these two boys into what they are now and what awesome men they’ll become. I thank you Laura and all the girls at cradles for being such a huge part in planting all the right seeds to create that foundation my little boys have to start their life path. I am extremely grateful!!!

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Initially when my kids went here we thought it was a great place. Slowly we started realizing things were wrong.
1. Anytime either of our children hit their head, instead of reporting it yo us right away, they always told us it happened right before we were walking in.
2. We had to rush our daughter to the ER after pick up, for an incident we were never made aware of.
3. Very inexperienced young teachers with little supervision.
4. Laura is money hungry & packs the place with children breaking DYFUS GUIDELINES.
5. My children were both bitten many times. They did nothing about it.
6. The were written up for 19 violations by the state. Ask around, this place is well known for biting.
7. My daughter, 3 years later just told me that they made her sit in a stairwell with the door closed as a punishment for scribbling. She was 3.
Both my kids were traumatized by this place. Shame on you Laura!

We have been sending our kids to cradles to crayons for about six years now, and could not be happier with the results.
My oldest child, now in first grade, started when he was about six months old, and my almost four year old has been there since about the same. My oldest loved his experience there and my youngest is currently enjoying it as well, not only because the staff was (is) wonderful, but because of the nurturing environment they provide. All children grow and develop at different times, things my oldest did at a certain age, my youngest did not, and the younger was doing things before the older was as well. Everyone who worked with my children help to make sure no one feels left out, and has really worked hard to bring out the best in all of the kids.

One of the best day care facilities in the Bergen county area and an even better place to be employed. Facilities are clean and up to date. The owner takes great pride in business and it shows everywhere!
Children are cared for in the most loving and professional manner. The cradles family is definitely one to be a part of! Ms. Laura treats the children as if they’re one of her own!
