At Shimmering Moon Farm, our horses are like family and valued for their individual personalities. We are active in the horse industry and show extensively throughout the year. We offer all breeds of horses for sale, riding lessons, horse leasing, horse training and clinics. With twenty six years of horse handling and training, we are dedicated to turning a horse into a pleasurable mount.

History

Established in 2009.

I have been riding, showing and training horses at facilities in Michigan since I was a teenager. I always had a passion for Arabians, loving their beauty and free spirit. In 2009, I decided to expand my farm’s operations and began my own training and breeding farm.

I was the typical suburban kid. My family had no interest in horses and I had to plead with my mother to take me to lessons. When I was 18, I worked at a Girl Scout camp and ending up taking home a cheap gray Arabian gelding that could buck explosively out of the blue. I was young and considered him a challenge. Spud, as he was called, taught me a lot about horse ownership. Over the years, I have owned and trained many horses. I love to form that bond of trust that turns into a true partnership between rider and mount.
