History

Established in 2002.

Chubby’s Barbeque opened in 2002, it formerly was a Honkey Tonk. After buying the business and business property, the kitchen and bathrooms were gutted and upgraded. The interior was completely redone, with the Southern BBQ theme in mind, ie. nothing too fancy, clean as possible, but downhome! All our meats are smoked on site, and all food is homemade. Our Sauces, 6 of them, were created by the owner, Tom «Drsmoke» Caulfield. We have been featured in the last two editions of the famous Jane and Micheal Stern“s book «Roadfood», as well as Nancy Richardson’s bestseller, «Killer Ribs» an account of the 50 best Rib joints in North America. We have been on Regis and Kelly, for our Pulled Pork, as well as in countless Magazine and Newspaper features.

Come in, please, and find out why all the great talk about is is true.

Business Owner

I also manage the business. Retired from the Securities industry. Over the years, I worked in the Motion Picture industry, started a Ball Point pen Company, a small Oil company, owned a Country Store, involved in Real Estate and Insurance, among a few other things.

My Business card reads: Tommy Caulfield, Chef, Pit Master, Owner, Storyteller, Liar Extraordinaire, and great friend to lonely Women, especially if they own a Liquor Store!
