Gorditas Express

We are down in Emory often and there’s not a lot of places to eat locally. Gorditas Express is open later, they have a drive through, decent food and friendly service. Totally a win in my book and we’ll be back!

Friendly people and excellent food! Homemade mexican food, what can be any better? The breakfast tacos and burritos are great! I love the street tacos. I’ve also had the gorditas and they are great as well. Even my 4 year old loves this place.

I’m so glad to find someplace with authentic Mexican food so close to home. Moving to the lake (Lake Tawakoni) full time is a trade off. Longer commutes, fewer shopping choices, etc. However you live a the lake!
One of our trade offs was the loss of great Mexican street food as found in the DFW area. Well Gorditas Express is great real Mexican food, you can’t go wrong eating there,. How do you know, well English is the 2ed language there!
Try their street taco’s and enjoy some great food.

Amazing street tacos! El pastor pork tacos were great, but the chorizo tacos were the real gem. The chorizo had excellent flavor with just the right amount of heat, and not too greasy. Both the green and red table sauces were perfect compliments to the flavors of the tacos. The size and pricing of the tacos made them perfect to mix and match for a great little sampler plattter sized for your appetite.

This doesn’t even deserve a star for their piss poor service since came in there for the first time with some of my friends who live in point to spend the fourth. So order the street taco plate get two pastor tacos and then got fajita taco the meat looked liked it been boiled with no flavor. So I took it up to the counter said that didn’t like and could get my money back after only having a bite of it. So the you g girl that was working at the counter let me see what I can do and cams back was like their nothing that can do about it. I’m like what do you mean that you can do anything wouldn’t give me straight answer about it. But the girl who was bring food out was nice enough to do it and the girl who guess that ran the place came out got very ugly about it. She was like I don’t give a shit if you didn’t like it and weren’t suppose to get your money back. So she made me so mad that was like you don’t have to be a bitch about it and my buddy was Apologize about it as much didn’t want did it anyway for him. But if you can’t take Destructive criticism don’t be in the restaurant business or you want last long with Attitude like that.

I am from Dallas and go fishing at Lake Fork often. A few months ago we stopped at Gorditas Express for breakfast tacos and we were surprised how good and fresh the food was. I had the Egg_​Potato_​Bacon tacos on a home made fresh tortillas and it was amazing. My friend had the street tacos and they were equally good.
The service is friendly and really good. The prices and very reasonable.
I highly recommend Gorditas as a must try Mexican Quick stop place.
This place makes my mouth water and I look forward to my next visit.

I have had the different breakfast burritos, nachos, and tacos. All are very good. I recommend the chorizo breakfast burrito and the steak nachos the best. Very clean little place with small dining area and drive through. No chips and salsa though. More of a taqueria.

Had breakfast tacos and a gordita. Everything was delicious, inexpensive, and made to order. The place is very clean. They open early so its perfect before getting out on the lake!

Great breakfast. Have also had a lunch here a few weeks back and it was also just great. We just sampled one if the home made tamales and will be ordering some of these for New Years.
