Aaron did an absolutely amazing job photographing our wedding in Tahoe!!! He captured the important moments and the people we love beautifully. He made us feel comfortable and at-​ease despite our nerves and stressful family situations. He is laid back, funny, professional, responsive, and non-​invasive. But that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t get the best shots! Our photos are breathtaking and I can’t believe some of the moments he captured. We cannot recommend Aaron highly enough and we are so grateful for the wonderful photographs we have to remember our special day, thanks to him.

Aaron was referred from a good friend of ours to photograph our wedding. We were a little unique in that we wanted to capture the union of my wife, her son, and I, together as a newly bound family. Aaron not only met our expectations but exceeded them in many ways. The photos were amazing, and we’ve received countless compliments every time people see them. Aaron did 2 photo shoots with us, one for our engagement, and the other during our wedding. Here is a list of things that stand out about Aaron:
1. Extremely friendly, willing to work with all of your needs, relaxed, and respectful.
2. During the event he wants you to focus on just that, the event. No need for him to get in the way or script anything complicated. Half the time we didn’t even know Aaron was photographing us. In this way he was great because we were able to just be ourselves.
3. Straightforward and clear about pricing, what was included, and not pressured to do anything above our means.
That said, we really feel like Aaron is not only someone that we can count on to capture our special moments in life from here on out, but rather a friend. I can’t recommend him enough.

So as an update, our wedding was nearly 2 ½ years ago and although it rained some, we still have no regrets looking back and are so thankful Aaron was able to capture those timeless moments with such talent. We went back to see him again almost a year after that as we had our first child and had family pictures done with him as well. We live in Vegas and I’m sure there are great photographers out here but we just love Aaron and his talent and would travel much farther to see him if we had to.

We were looking for a wedding photographer that would capture both of us and our personalities. It is so difficult to capture the emotion of an engagement and/​or a wedding but Aaron did just that! We researched numerous photographers for our wedding and after reading reviews then looking at their work online we interviewed three. After our FaceTime with Aaron, we knew he was the perfect fit! He has such a calming personality and you feel like you’ve known him for years after just a few minutes. We were even more pleased after our engagement shoot and then our wedding photos just came in and I would have to say every moment was captured! The evening was such a blur and went by way too quickly but Aaron managed to capture everything we missed! Thank you Aaron for being such a wonderful person to work with!

My wife and I had our wedding shot by Aaron. He is absolutely amazing and does so well at finding the perfect shots. His personality is so calming and composing during the big day. He was everywhere during the wedding snapping some pretty awesome shots. He understands how weddings work and most importantly is an excellent photographer. There’s only once in our life that we have a wedding (hopefully). Of course we want to capture all of the moments of the event. Aaron, and Jamie, did just that! They were both so personable, patient, and easy to work with. Aaron, was also quick to respond to our emails and questions. This review is WAY overdue! Aaron photographed my and my wife Kristen’s wedding last November. After searching for a professional who was open to working on a same-​sex wedding without necessarily being gay themselves, we had almost given up. In doing so, we let time get away from us and by the time I called Aaron there were only a few weeks to go before the big day. Not only did Aaron make himself available when he really didn’t have to (traveling to our wedding directly from the airport after arriving home from another event) he was able to work within our VERY limited budget. During the wedding, you’d never have known he was in the room. The only evidence of his presence were the numerous compliments from guests (including our two sons whom Aaron let snap a couple shots) and, of course, the amazing photographs. Aaron captured the natural and unscripted moments… memories we will cherish for a lifetime. If we ever need another photographer, no question we’ll be back with Aaron Wilcox.

We chose Aaron as our photographer for our engagement and wedding photos after looking through all the beautiful, unique and creative photos he had on his website. We fell in love with his style before we even met him but once we did, we knew, he was warm, caring and after seeing more of his portfolio, a truly skilled photographer.

After seeing our pictures, we don’t know how he was able to capture so many looks, emotions, angles throughout the day. He did an exceptional job and we hardly even noticed he was there. Finding the right wedding photographer is important and you should definitely search out for the right one. Some people value the highly drafted and staged photos which create portraits that while sentimental, lack a little soul. Aaron can do those… if you want.
What he really specializes in is the capturing candid photos (you barely know he’s there) where the real emotion of you and your guests is pouring out. At my wedding he captured stunning photos that were immediately available for download just one week after my wedding.

I cannot say enough amazing things to truly describe how wonderful Aaron is. From our first meeting I have felt that he was more of a friend than anything else, and he is so warm and friendly and accommodating that you immediately feel at ease with him. He is so fairly priced and I so appreciated that. I’m sorry– but to me, no photos will ever be worth $ 4,000 or $ 5,000, and any photographer who charges that is shameful. Aaron was worth every penny (and more!) and the fact that you don’t have to pay per photo and that he gives everyone access to all of the photos and high def files is AWESOME and totally worth it in itself. I honestly didn’t even notice him during the ceremony and there were photos from every angle– so I’m thinking he must be able to teleport because I have no clue how he was able to get so many perspectives without him climbing over our guests. Everyone loves the photos and he did a few ‘special effect’ shots at our request that turned out fantastic. I don’t usually like taking photographs because I feel uncomfortable but I never felt like that the whole day with him. There is no way that you will ever regret hiring Aaron– I’m just so happy that we were able to have such a nice, cool person share our day with us! Thank you so much Aaron!

Aaron photographed our gay wedding back in 2007 before gay weddings were cool. He, on the other had was extremely cool about everything. We had interviewed several photographers and none of them put me more at ease or had the talent and creativity Aaron has. He has this amazing ability to see things from an angle no one else would think to shoot from. The day of the event, at hearing the news that one of our guests had parents living in an apartment that overlooked our rooftop wedding site, he immediately rushed over to the balcony of the relatives apartment and caught some of the most amazing overhead shots of our wedding site. The candid shots he took during the wedding are my favorite — all snot-​nosed and tears, he still made me look good! :) Since the wedding, we have had our son photographed by Aaron and he did such an amazing job. We love every shot and he had some truly unique ways of making my son laugh and look at the camera the way no other 2 yr old would normally do.
Aside from being just my personal favorite photographer, Aaron has won quite a few awards for his stunning photos. I follow him on facebook and am continuously amazed at what he comes up with. He’s such a pro, totally chill and extremely easy to work with. I would hire him again in a heartbeat!

Aaron was an AMAZING wedding photographer. He is calm, professional, fun, easy going, and a great talent. He was recommended to us by an art director /​photographer from a well known fashion house, so I knew he would be great, but some of the shots he took really blew us away.
We took Aaron to Cabo with us for our wedding, and he did a fantastic job of finding a second shooter down there. He tried to alleviate all stress from our weekend, and our big day, which was obviously more helpful than we ever realized it would be.
The photos were awesome, not cheesy at all. Aaron tries to get to know you prior to shooting you, to ensure he provides the quality photos you want.

I stumbled upon Aaron’s website while searching for our engagement and wedding photographer and was immeadiately in awe after seeing his work. I told my soon to be wife at the time, this is our guy! We set up a meet and greet with Aaron at L’auberge in Del Mar and we instantly had a connection that we knew would help us forget about the camera in our future shoots. Aaron’s ideas and creativity are amazing! No matter where the location, he has an eye for every angle and can create the most incredible moments. He definitely knows how to capture the mood in every photo and you can read the story behind the lens through his photography.
Aaron is a world traveler and has no problem meeting wherever you need him. We had him shoot our engagement photos in and around a private jet at Carlsbad Airport. His experience as well as our desires add to his complex creativity as he can really make the most out of every location he shoots.

Aaron is the most creative photographer you will find. We first found Aaron via his website and fell in love with his work instantly, so we contacted him to setup a face to face meeting. From the first meeting we knew we couldn’t go with anyone else for our big day. Aaron first shot our engagement photos at the Carlsbad airport in and around a private jet. Aaron has some amazing ideas and he made us feel so comfortable, we completely forgot there was a camera and we went about being ourselves while Aaron capturing each moment. The pictures are to die for. After that Aaron shot our wedding day in Carlsbad where he went out of his way arrived up at the house I was getting ready at to take pictures prior to our big moment. He even left his car at the house and rode with me and my bridal party in the limo to the wedding location to get extra shots in the limo. Aaron didn’t miss a moment on our wedding day and that us why we are having him to do our maternity shoot this July. My husband and I are pregnant with twins and wouldn’t want anyone else’s creative eye to capture these special moments in our lives.

Aaron is an exceptionally talented photographer. We were blown away by the quality of his photos from our wedding, which says a lot given that we were very particular about our photographer.
Aaron’s photos were both artistic and authentic; stylized yet unique without being formulaic like most of the wedding photos we’ve seen out there. He captured the kind of moments that you could only get from true talent and instinct.

While Aaron really shines at weddings, my personal experience with him is more casual. He has shot all types of family, friend and party photos (he is the king of candids — oh, and he is known as the ‘baby whisperer’ to many new parents).
