Beads, Crystals & More!

Best bead store I have ever been in. Very nice people and the ability to look and touch the beads, as opposed to everything being by request only in cases, is great. (Some things are behind the counter). I like that I can assemble a project on a bead board, make it, and then pay for it, which I did with my niece. (She loved it).

I live in San Marcos and I will go out of my way to come shopping at this store! Their selection of gemstones is amazing and definitely high quality, although yes can be more expensive. The owners are really sweet and very passionate and knowledgeable. Store can get busy, however, and it looks like they could use a bit of help! Overall really dig the vibe of this store and everytime I go in I leave satisfied and with some great purchases!

I had my small dog with me (very well behaved Frenchie) and I was informed I couldn’t have him in the store «on the floor.» She said I could carry him around, like I’m going to carry around a 30 pound dog while trying to shop for beads… okay. I don’t understand why he can’t be in the store and there was no sign. Needless to say they lost my business. The beadshop in OB is better anyways.

Explored Encitinas today. my day off of work. While on Highway 101 I saw a plaza with a bunch of shops. I like the way this shop looked from the outside so I thought I’d check it out.
As soon as I entered I was greeted. The gentleman explained where everything from rocks\ minerals & beads were in the store. They can also customize jewelry for you. I heard somewhere that certain rocks have energies. They had different sizes of rocks and minerals & also explained their energy. Also in the bead case certain rocks can be made into jewelry. I thought that was awesome if you want to make pendent or earrings. I ended up buying one that helps with stress & it fits about the size of hand. The staff was exceptionally friendly & knowledgeable. Definitely making another trip there in future.

The store is filled with a lot of amazing specimens of all kinds and sizes! U can find gifts for all price ranges and get some cool crystals for your own collection! Staff is very knowledgeable in gemology and they give out a very friendly atmosphere!

Great selection of beads and charms and crystals. 2 stars because I’m somewhat Annoyed and Disappointed with the staff. I wanted to put two tiny beads on my medical bracelet and the staff lady said she could do it for me. I was stoked, until it came time to pay. My beads were $ 1.50 and .95 cents. My total came to over $ 7. When I asked why, she explained that I was being charged for the little metal pieces she used to attach the beads to the bracelet. That would have been fine had she told me in advance that there was an extra charge, but she didn’t. I even said to her that she should have told me before and she just ignored me. This is not how one should do business. I understand you can’t give away your services or you can’t pay your bills. However you shouldn’t then volunteer your service. Communication is key!!!

If you are a creative artist, jewelry enthusiast, or just plain excited by beautiful beads… This place is heaven! There is something for everyone… Glass beads, metal charms, string beads, crystals, tribal décor, Swarovski crystals, silver and gold chains: you name it, they’ve probably got it!
I could spend all day in there, just trying to decide what kind of beads to use. So much fun!
The staff is super friendly, and more than willing to help you assemble a cute piece of jewelry.
I think they even have classes and workshops so you can host a jewelry-​making party.

I was looking for some healing stones and what a selection they have! Excellent staff that doesn’t hesitate to help you find what you’re looking for, without being pushy. In the end I found a lovely phantom quartz crystal with great energy. I’ll be back!

While recently visiitng Encinitas, I wanted to find a nice jewelry store to pick up something for my wife. I found this store in town down the road from my hotel. The service here is so friendly and so caring. I dealt with Michelle who gave me a few ideas for an awesome necklace for my wife. She choose a few dog charms and a chain to complement them. The other women there, Cindy and Valeri, were also friendly and extremely helpful. If you happen to be in Encinitas, make it your business to stop at this quaint and unique store.

This is such a wonderful store with a HUGE selection of beads! Gemstones, wood, bone, mineral beads and more. I had so much fun making a necklace here. The woman who helped me was so kind and helpful. Definitely will be coming back.

I needed a new clasp on my pearl necklace, so I brought it in to Beads, Crystals, and more! They were able to find me a new one and put it on my necklace without having to restring it. For a sterling silver lobster clasp, it was under $ 5 and under 5 minutes. Glad I didn’t have to spend a huge chunk of my morning waiting around for something like this to be completed! Thanks guys.

What an amazing store!!! I’ve never been in a bead store with so much selection, it was huge. Huge selection of beads and charms of every shape and size.
Easily the best part of the store is its massive collection of African beads. They can get really expensive because they have a lot of insanely rare ones that I’ve never seen anywhere else. But they also have really reasonably priced vintage African beads– I got two gorgeous strands for $ 5 each, which was a really good deal. I also got a handful of African wedding beads. So many African beads. I’ve never seen so many in one place.
Also, Phil, the owner, is so nice and so helpful. He showed me all his African beads and told me the history behind them without being pushy. And then, he made me and my boyfriend matching necklaces with some African beads I was looking at and gave them to us for free! Such a nice guy. It made my day.
I will definitely be back– such an amazing place.

I love going into this store… I have been going there since it opened. Everyone is very helpful and I always receive the best service when asking a question. This is one of the best stores for supplies I have ever been to. Thank you for offering economical choices which enable me to produce my crafts. I always recommend this store to all of my «people»…

Lovely place to browse gemstones and feel their great energy. Lots of selection and helpful staff. They had what I was looking for at a reasonable price. What more can you ask for, I will be back. :)

I have been going here for years; to shop, to bead, to bring in jewelry repairs, to browse and enjoy the feast for the eyes, with all the amazing inventory. I have always experienced great customer service. Karen, Maureen and other employees have been so helpful and creative when assisting me with creating a new piece or changing up an older piece.
I highly recommend visiting, to see all the interesting pieces displayed in the store, as well as to shop for beads, beading tools, jewelry, mineral specimens or for some jewelry repairs.

I always try to support local businesses for the economy. I went there yesterday and was not especially impressed with the customer service… just meh… but as a matter of fact they asked my son who is a grown man to step out because of his drink –it had a lid and a straw on it-​he is well dressed, polite… he is an art major… wanted to peruse and felt very unwelcomed.
I bought some wood beads and went to check out but the phone kept ringing so they could not complete the transaction-​the credit card machine is connected to their phone. (how modern)…I waited patiently and even said «I don’t want to forget my credit card». they had me sign the slip and my son called to me outside that he would meet me down the plaza so I was distracted and ended leaving without my card!
That’s not the problem… when I got home I realized my mistake after they closed and called and left a message. I was called the next day by PHIL, the owner, who said there is no card there. The End. I called back and spoke to Maureen. Both she and Phil told me how busy they were and couldn’t call Lilly or Karen the manager at home. (who were on staff yesterday) I explained I leave for an out of state trip in a day and I am so concerned if I should cancel my card because then I will not have a card to travel. (usually takes 2 – 3 days to get replacements mailed) I called back an hour later to check if there was any development and PHIL became very loud and incredibly rude to me. I tried to explain the transaction so it could be relayed to the women to maybe jog their memory and I tried to tell him there was a photo of my white dog on my card. He began to yell over my speaking… I was pleading with him… close to tears to see me as a human being not an inconvenience and He said, «I don’t need the details and hung up on me!» This man is a shameful business owner and human being. I called back crying and he let the phone go to voice mail… The phone was only picked up because I was begging on the machine for him to have mercy and pls call the gals from the day before and try to help me. I assume all the many customers in the store could hear my message so it was finally picked up by Maureen.
I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE and I will tell a dozen people and they will tell a dozen people. For a BEAD store to have ANY negative feedback is astonishing to begin with! (see other reviews) They are BEADS for God sake. You smile and point them to the beads and smile and say thank you for your business when they check out… SO EASY!
WE keep places like this in business.

Went in here to make some necklaces and bracelets for my toddlers. Valerie was SO SWEET and helpful, kind and patient. Not enough good adjectives to describe her. What a GEM — lol no pun intended ;)
There is a huge variety of stones to choose from. They have a great crafting table where you can put everything together yourself on the spot, and Valerie was quick to come help us get everything closed up once the girls had strung everything just the way they wanted to.
I will absolutely refer my friends with kids to come here for a fun and alternative way to shop local and have a ball!

I went again a little while ago, and found some more amazing stones to make earrings. They have the best shop in southern California that I’ve found yet for loose semi-​precious stones… and I’ve been to a lot of places. Love!

Beads, Crystals and More — More of a JOKE than anything !
I have no idea how this place stays open. The customer service is ZERO ! They are rude and do not care if they have your business or not. I went in to have them fix something that they said «no problem we can do that». Well, when they called me and I went to pick it up it was wrong and they tried to blame me for the mess that they made and on top of it wanted to charge me. I did not pay they did not like that and started to argue with me. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE arguing with a customer!. I will never go back to this shop again and I urge others to stay away unless you like BAD very BAD customer service and if you do this place is for you.
I for one do not and will not put up with it. The place looks as if it gets no business and just for the extremely bad customer service should close. Everything is word of mouth and now days with computers and places like Unilocal and face book, twitter shops like this should be more careful with the customers that come into the store. If just one person reads my post and knows what I’m talking about and does not ever step foot in Beads, Crystals and More I did my job, Rude employees Bad Customers Service and high prices! STAY AWAY! I’m sure there is other places that sell and do the same stuff but with actual customer service. Not a bunch of frustrated old women

Beads and crystal galore. I do not think there is a bead, wire, clasp, or tool that this store does not carry. There is about 8 tables of beads and walls covered with string beads. The ladies that I always encounter are really friendly, helpful and definitely know their stuff. They will easily direct you on the correct path of your beading project.
The only thing is… the prices are ridiculously high. I think they mark it up to 200−300% from the wholesale price. If you are on a time crunch, then this place is the place to be.
