Love the coffee!!! I ordered croissant and latte. The latte was so smooth. I went back there twice for my three-day San Diego visit. I wanted to try their filter coffee«pour over coffee», but unfortunately they don’t serve that over weekends per the cashier :(. I also bought a pack of coffee bean home. The guy(I believe coffee grinder) was very helpful in explaining different types of coffee.

Wherever we travel to, we try to locate the best coffee houses. Coffee Coffee uses the best beans, smoothest flavor, and boastful creama. We return there whenever in Leucadia. A must!

Love this place and go often for breakfast. I usually order the Surfy Scramble or the Jose Especial, and have tried most other items on the menu. All pretty yummy. But… On some days there’s a not-so-great cook… The food is usually very good, but at times it’s prepared differently(obviously by a different cook), and with smaller portion size, and not quite so yummy.

This is such a great coastal coffee hang out! It’s connected to surfy surfy surf shop but I haven’t really checked out that side of the house. At the coffee shop there’s a variety of seating either along the bar where they roast coffee or small tables inside or patio outside. There’s a nice tree and other landscaping surrounding the patio… It kind of breaks up the fact that you’re right on 101 highway. They have some amazing food as well, but today I wanted to tell you about the iced chai latte. It’s great! I substituted whole milk for almond milk and I enjoyed it just the same. There’s a heat wave coming, and an iced drink is really what you’re going to need this weekend! Whatever you get, you’re not going to go wrong. It’s a great coastal hang out, come and enjoy coastal living, even if it’s for the day.

Great coffee shop in Leucadia on the 101. Excellent coffee as well as a simple food menu with delicious options. Nice outdoor seating area with shade and close walk to Beacons Beach.

Yeah, it was okay. Testing out my usual iced vanilla latte and it was about average. Not too bitter not too sweet. The price was good and the size was just right. There’s outdoor seating which is nice and the indoor seating has a nice view of the outside area. If I was in the area again I would probably stop by.

A legit coffee spot along the coast road. These folks roast beans on site, know a proper espresso pour, have a cool outdoor patio, and only blocks from Beacon’s Beach if you wanna take a stroll. Parking can be tricky, but worth it when you need that fix. Also, they have rotating murals on the south facing wall, usually pretty cool.

Cool little location and nice staff but they’re always running out of food. Especially croissants meaning no breakfast sandwiches unless you want it on a bagel. I now skip the place it’s happened so much. Its just not worth driving someplace to eat, only to get there and find you can’t order your favorite sandwich. It’s also a bit pricey at $ 8 for eggs on a croissant and $ 2.97 for a large coffee but it is good. The wifi is incredibly fast for a coffee shop so if you’re looking for a place to work while you have a good cup of coffee, this your place.

Coffee coffee is a great place to grab a very good Americano(or dirty chai). It has a great«funky leucadia» feel and perfect place for setting up shop and getting some work done. I have not had much of their food but the couple breakfast sandwiches I have had were very good. Baristas are very nice and service is always good. They serve and sell Revolution Roasters coffee — maybe the best roasters around. I buy all my beans from them for home brewing.

Very cool spot. NIce staff and if you check out my pic, they made me a heart on my coffee. I am sure they do this often but how nice to grab your Capp and see a heart! Large space inside as well as outdoors. They are also attached to Surfy Surfy, a surf shop that has cute tees. The coffee is fantastic too and they have yummy eggs!

My wife and I hadn’t stopped here in quite a while because there are many options for coffee and sandwiches along the we thought we would have a break here while on our Sunday bike ride. We ordered 2 lattes and a turkey and salad baguette sandwich to share. You have to wait to pick up your coffees and a server will bring out the sandwich. Everything was ready in a very short time and looked great. Our lattes tasted very nice and the sandwich was superb… delicious ingredients on a very fresh baguette. Sadly the live music has ceased on Sunday mornings… a licensing problem one of the staff told me. Still we didn’t even hear recorded music being played when we enjoyed our was a super day to sit outside in their lovely courtyard and watch the traffic zoom by on the 101. The prices were very reasonable for such an enjoyable lunch and prompt service.

I really thought this place was going to be a lot better. It let me down. The service was subpar, the pour over was just okay, the place was packed with not much seating, and the overall experience was just a let down. Looking at it from the outside and hearing and reading great things about this place– I expected greatness. All I got was disappointment. The customers seemed really down to earth though– I would’ve loved to have gotten into conversation with a few of them– wish I could say the same regarding the staff. The people behind the counter were neither helpful nor friendly. But hey, maybe I caught them on a bad day. Is totally give the place a second chance though.

The smell of freshly roasted beans will give you an endorphin high. Revolution Roasters made this location their official roasting place. An absolute plus for the people who live in Leucadia! Bf loves his brew and what better time to visit a non chain coffee shop than when you’re on vacation in San Diego and in need of a cold one. I ordered their grande(oops! medium!) decaf iced americano and it was the perfect sip while we were sitting in their outdoor patio underneath the shady tree on a warm afternoon. Add a pastry or two to complete the«this is the good life!» feel.

@ Coffee Coffee service is Coughy Coughy. First and last visit today with the family. Ordred a latte and mocha with pastries. About 5 minutes later the drinks were ready, but when I looked at them, both looked like muddy slush, so I asked what happened with the drinks and why were they missing the latte art that other cups served prior had. The answer by the girl(strawberry blond with blue eyes) playing the role of barista was that I should have asked for it when I ordered, but offered to remake. I took the offer. After all other orders were completed, so another nearly 15 minutes she provided the remade drinks and again lectured me on how I need to order next time. The drink was comparable to Starbucks with less bitterness and acidity. Not comparable to other roaster coffee shops. The arrogance, lack of care, and lack of love for coffee are disappointing. Luckily there are better alternatives available just down the road.(May give another try in 6 months if stuff rotates.)

This is a good place to get coffee in a place that is very dog-friendly. And they have soy creamer for a small additional price. Not all all coffee places carry it. Lefty’s doesn’t for example. They have a good-sized acai bowl that is fair-priced and loaded with fruit(see photo). Getting an outdoor table is a matter of timing. The unisex restroom in the rear of the establishment is good-sized and looks ADA-compliant. Counter-people are friendly. Parking is also a matter of timing.

I love this little place. Located on the 101, they’ve got a great space to share with those locals who live up the hill or just those looking for a quick business meeting on their outdoors patio. They’ve got plenty of seating outside and just a few spaces indoors, but if you wait around, you’ll get a great place to set up your work station. The drinks and sandwiches are just hands down simple, but so delicious! I love the simple side of things, and Coffee Coffee really provides that for their guest who enter.

Lovely croissant and perfect café au lait and cold brew coffee. I’d rather support a local business but it’ll be hard to come back especially when I had to go up and ask twice for my iced coffee which I had ordered to go. They weren’t that busy only myself and another in line and a few in the café.

I’ve been to this place a few times, have always enjoyed the environment and good coffee. Yesterday I was having coffee when the manager came and started hassling a client. The customer was on his laptop, drinking coffee and minding his own business. The owner literally got in the customers face and told him to leave or he’d call the police. The customer was polite and courteous, yet packed up and left. The customer and everyone in the place were horrified! Not sure what the problem is but there are other options for coffee in Encinitas where management doesn’t wash dirty laundry in the middle of the store. It was awful and embarrassing for everyone there except the owner/manager. Never going back.

I live down the street and I actually have only stopped in a handful of times. The café is very quaint and has nice seating inside and out. Every once in awhile they have live music outside. I’ve ordered dirty chai lattes and cappuccinos, which are very tasty. The staff is funky leucadia meets the beach, very friendly of course. Free wifi. Overall very nice place. My missing star is due to prices. They cost more than Starbucks!

Coffe is good, but I have the same feelings as many others who’ve reviewed. Customer service is where it’s lacking. Location is great; right on the 101 on Leucadia– you couldn’t ask for a better spot. Almond milk latte is what I usually get anywhere I go, and it was very good. The cashier who rang us up, a young man with reddish hair was friendly. It was the woman(long brown hair) who made our coffee who was curt and grumpy. Lattes were messy and spilled over(didn’t affect the taste) and when my boyfriend came up to the counter to pick them up he said excuse me and asked if they were ours just in case and the woman basically eye rolled and said yeah very rudely. Maybe she was having a really bad day, but hey everyone does and there’s no need for your shitty attitude. It’s just coffee lady. Good coffee, but with other shops so close by, no need to go here if someone’s going to be grumpy like that.

I always try a place twice before I review… I enjoyed Coffee Coffee the first time in regard to food and beverage, service was not exactly friendly but decent. Unfortunately, my second attempt at this joint there was no improvement… I had ordered several food items for myself an my son, as well as an almond milk latte. The food was good, the latte was decent. About halfway through the meal my son needed to use the restroom so I informed one of the baristas that I would be right back, but within the few minutes we were in the bathroom all out food an drinks were cleaned up an thrown out. Being part of the industry myself I understand the desire to keep the place clean and inviting, but as a paying guest I was disappointed in having half my meal and latte being bussed. Especially, since I made it a point to tell someone that we were still eating and would be right back as well as leaving personal items on the table. We got a blueberry bagel, seasonal fruit, oatmeal, and a latte. All of which I was so bummed not to finish. After asking about where our food went, all we received in response was«sorry, didn’t know you were still working on that». No gift card, no offer of another drink or food. Poor customer service. Needless to a say we were disappointed and will not be returning.

Surfer Coffee! Chose this place randomly and took my girlfriend and sister there for a good cup of Joe(Actually they had their fancy lattes and I my espresso shot!) and boy did we have fun! We just sat out upfront, sipped on the tasty coffee which is roasted on location and just had a grand time. Now why did I label this«surfer coffee»? Well, I may be totally wrong, but most everyone who walked in was the surfer type; even the folks behind the counter looked like surfers. I have always been fascinated with the surfer culture. I love listening to the conversations about their craft and the seemingly laid back image that they exude. I wish I knew how to surf. Back to coffee! We did not get to taste any other items, but the coffee by itself was very good. I usually like to have a single long shot, and you’ll be surprised to know that many places have no idea what a «long shot» is, but not here. I did get my long shot the way it should be pulled, and it was just great. The ladies where also happy with their lattes, so all thumbs up!

My friend Dave Thomas owns this place and the surf shop next door. I live about 35 mins south of Encinitas, but every time I pass by going north on the 5, I try stop in for a cup of coffee or a treat. Their gluten free cookies are amazing and the dirty chai lattes are the best. I promise that I’m not just saying that because my friend owns the place — it’s just the reason I went out of my way to try it! It is a little pricey($ 5.75 for a large dirty chai latte), but way worth it compared to paying the same-ish price for a chain store like Starbucks. Plus the ambiance is super cool and they have their own roasting machine right on the premises. Super dog friendly and outdoor patio seating apleanty. It’s the perfect coffee shop set up for southern California :) Plus they gots the free wifi’s so it’s great for studying or passing the time!

I love the atmosphere here and this used to be my favorite coffee shop, but lately it’s gone a little downhill. There are a couple of people that work there that are not very friendly. And then there are some that are super, super friendly. Unfortunately, I always get the guy who’s seems annoyed that he has to take my order(he has a pony tail or bun). Twice I’ve asked for my latte for here and then they’ll give it to me in a to-go cup. Might not sound like a big deal, but I always try to cut down on trash wherever I go, but regardless, it just means he’s not listening. I also asked the same guy what the wifi password was, once again, he looked annoyed and just pointed to the sign on the register which apparently, I was stupid enough not to see. Sorry dude! However, the guy that roast the beans, don’t know if it’s always the same guy, is super nice. Overall, I think they could improve their customer service. Especially when there’s Sugar and Lofty right down the street and the people that work there are always cheerful and a pleasure to be around. Another thing that REALLY annoys me is that they charge extra for stuff like almond milk. I’ll order thinking it’s the price on the menu, then it will be like a buck more. I finally asked and he said, almond milk is more expensive than regular milk so when we’re charged more, we have to charge you more. Give me a break, no where else does this! The atmosphere here is nice and they always play the best music so I have to give props for that. Overall I really do love this place, but I haven’t really wanting to go back mainly due to the customer service. I hope they step it up because it is a cool little spot.

This coffeehouse roasts their own beans and takes time preparing each order. This is how coffee should be prepared. All three of us had something different. One of us had an Americano which was very well prepared. Another had a latte which had the right balance of milk to coffee allowing the espresso shot to push through the milk. This can be rare in a latte. The third person ordered an iced green tea. This was made properly in that the tea was brewed at the correct temperature, allowed to cool a bit, and then iced. She had to wait a bit while this was prepared therefore it was very tasty. It is important to note that my husband and I are admitted«coffee snobs.» He roasts his own coffee beans, so we have fresh coffee everyday. We also brew coffee using most methods: pour over, clever dripper, siphon, cold brew, and using an espresso machine. Because we do all of this at home, we are often underwhelmed when we go out for coffee. This was not the case at Coffee Coffee. If you are in need of a good cup of coffee, stop here. You won’t be disappointed.

Smooth, fragrant coffee. Their roast has a nice caramely aroma to it, and doesn’t stay on the palate very long. I had a latte and it was very good, the milk had a nice frothy consistency and was at the perfect temperature. Atmosphere is nice and quiet, making it a great place to study/read.

I thought this coffee shop was named something else, like Ipa or something. Anywho, I’ve been here a few times and really like the spot! It’s right off Coast Hwy. Stopped here the other Sunday for an afternoon pick me up with the best friend. They have a good patio outside to enjoy the California sun. I got an iced Americano if I remember correctly, it was delish. Has a surf shop next door that we browsed and then we walked down to Karina’s for some Mexican food. Love Leucadia!

Cute, cute, cute local coffee shop… located along Hwy 1 in Encinitas. I love the local vibe as soon as you walk in. What’s even better is its not crowded like corporate places and you can actually enjoy your cup of coffee in peace.(Total hipster spot, if I lived near this shop, I’d probably be here everyday) They have a cool bar seating area, which looks really cool– it truly adds character to the coffee shop. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. Along with coffee they also offer tea and pastries. Pretty reasonable prices and comparable to other coffee shops. They sell coffee beans as well so you can take home a piece of the greatness and brew in the comfort of your home. A cute touch that they do, is on the latte, they made a heart shape from the foam– very very cute.

Formerly called Café Ipe, coffee coffee is the newest coffee shop in Leucadia. This prime location sits just steps away from Leucadia Roadside park and within walking distance of Beacons Beach. Green coffee beans beans are roasted in house creating a tantalizing aroma that heightens the flavor of their coffees. You can pick up roasted beans to go or sip a cup inside or on the lovely patio. Local musicians congregate often and their live music creates an awesome energy for everyone to enjoy. This is an emerging hip zone in a previously blighted location. Leucadians love to celebrate the weather close to 360 days a year, occasionally the patio is wet or cold. When this happens you are in luck, there are indoor tables here too.

It took me a few minutes to realized, but after smelling the strong aroma of roasting coffee beans, I quickly realized that, «hey,» they roast their own beans right in the coffee shop! That was very cool and after chatting it up with the roasters on hand, I ordered and iced coffee and a walnut and berry scone from a local bakery( ). The iced coffee was great and quite refreshing with a nice little kick, just what I needed during me pre lunch escapades. The Mexican scone, I call it that because I am quite certain it came from a nearby Mexican Pandaria, not that there is anything wrong with that, was very good. It came with a light exterior glaze that was a little sticky in a good way( ), and the inside was very nice and dense, but moist. I really liked the crunchy walnuts and chewy dried berries( ). Its size was very appropriate, not to small and not to filling. One thing to consider, on warm days, it gets warm inside because of the roaster, but their is a very nice shaded patio right out in front that allows dogs on leashes.
