I just got some photos for christmas that i needed to be framed, my roommate informed me of a frame place down the street. We walked in and stood there for a second to wait to be greeted by the owner who was sitting 5 feet from the entrance. After a couple seconds that passed, he seemed to be busy with his conversation so I started to meander into the next room. I was yelled at by the dude and told that was not the room for the gallery. I am an adult, not offended at being yelled at. Its also Leucadia so people get a pass for being kooky. I said, i wasnt looking for the gallery so that was ok and then he looked back and started staring at his papers. Not sure if the person he was talking to worked there or not but she felt the akwardness and looked up at me. and greeted what i had to say with a smile.
So we walked into the gallery as we were supposed to and then realized this is why I buy stuff on amazon. We walked out with an exit that was as rude as our greeting. I am still not sure this place actually sells frames as we never really got to it. Either way, I will certainly be asking for this Tish character if I ever decide to come back.

Just real nice people who know their craft and have a huge selection. They frame photos to art work to cloth pieces. Everything they have done is quality work and I often just drop it off with little instruction and leave it to their judgment (Morgan or Trish). One time I had the wrong matting color and they redid the whole thing with no questions (and the error may have been mine). I drive from Del Mar to get all my stuff done here from basic to large. I have never felt upsold and Morgan is a huge hit with my sons as well. (Great wallpaper in the bathroom).

Over the years, these guys have framed all of the people I love. I overheard Tish mention «If its worth framing, its worth framing correctly.» I totally believe that. I am glad our photos have been carefully preserved and framed correctly. These guys and gals are professionals even if the owner (Morgan) is a little off? Hey, its Leucadia…

First want to say that they did a good job but I didn’t like them trying to up-​charge me when I arrived to pick up my art. If they had told me that their invoice was just a guess or even called me to say there was additional work to do that’s one thing, but tell me I have to pay almost 30% more? No.
That being said, it’s a cute little local shop with nice art for sale.

For the last 30 years, Morgan, Tish and Mark have giving me great customer service, highest quality of design in wood molding. Learned that there is professional schools that teach the fine art of framing, that is the level of care from Morgan. Corner Frame Shop had to reframe all the drawings my father had framed for me at the local chain «Craft store», because they all slipped. yck. An important factor, much education to learn how to «put it all together». The frame should compliment the art piece to making it look uniform, like putting on a fine coat, the finish touch. It seems to complete the piece. Thank you for the fine work, as always. J

This place is absolutely the best frame shop I have ever worked with. Morgan and Trish are awesome people with an incredible eye. I am a concert poster print collecting fanatic. I drive up north to drop off my posters for framing here. I walk in, catch up with morgan or Trish and leave my print with them. We never discuss matting or framing or anything — they always return my prints looking $$$. These guys are by far the best framers in the business.

Long-​standing local establishment and a Leucadia staple. Super friendly owner that helped us with a complicated set of three canvases that we needed stretched & mounted. He did an awesome job and helped us figure out the best way to hang these in our spage as well.

Had a few things framed here and every time I pass the store, I remember how beautifully they turned out. One was a photo of my late mother framed in a shadow box, and underneath the photo I put a photo of her gravesite with the inscription. Alongside I had them mount a couple of flowers from her funeral with a few dried leaves lying at the bottom of the shadow box. Beautiful job.
They also museum-​mounted a collector’s item Indian piece from the 1930s with a hand-​turned frame and airtight glass so the portrait wouldn’t disintegrate.
These people are true artists and you are going to pay a little more than you would pay at Fastframe. But the work they do lasts a lifetime.

So far I have had two pieces done at the Corner Frame Shop and I am knocked out by the quality and representation of my picture that the work represents. Morgan is a true professional and lead me through a terrific process to choose the best framing. His guidance about letting the image choose the frame is perfect. Sort of like letting the wand select you for Harry Potter fans, which I am one.

Very helpful, solution oriented and saved us a bunch of money on framing. They are super friendly and do great work. It’s no wonder they have been in business for 35 years.

I recently gave Corner Frame Shop a try, and their work is excellent! I’ve now had 2 paintings framed, and they restored an old painting as well. The restoration was of a painting that my dad created 30+ yrs ago, and I was very nervous about having it worked on. It came back beautifully, much better than I had hoped for. Morgan does have a great eye for matching frames to your art, and his suggestions turned out to be perfect compliments to both pieces that I brought in. His prices were less than Michaels (even with their 60% off coupon). His selection of unique frames is far superior to anywhere else I’ve been. Thx for the great work, you have a happy customer!

I had the ultimate «this is why it’s better go to locally-​owned businesses» experience. I brought in a painting to be framed in a «picture box» mode, and after discussing it, Morgan and I decided to use matting instead. But when I received it a week later, it didn’t look like I wanted. I told them that it wasn’t what I wanted, and they said «no problem», we will fix it no charge. So I now have the painting inset in a boxed frame, and I’m very happy. Can you imagine a chain store doing this?

I’m getting ready to go back for my of their great help! A few years ago, I took a very large, very old mirror in to be refurbished… the frame’s design was in very poor shape… they remolded the plaster appliques and repainted it… amazing work!!! Really… remarkable…now I’ve inherited another portrait with old frame that needs some TLC and am taking in to these wonderful people… In addition, they have rematted and framed countless items for me throughout the years… I tell everyone to go to the Corner Frame Shop in Encinitas!

My experience with Morgan was top notch! I didn’t meet anyone else but I can’t say anything but excellent things about this place. I walked in to get an valentines day gift framed and walked out a customer for life. Thanks Morgan!

We have been using Corner Frame Shop for many years since we moved to Encinitas 16 years ago. They always do a great job. Very nice friendly people. We have a lot of Japanese and Asian and Pacific NW Native-​American art in our house and have very high standards for quality (some of our Japanese art pieces were framed at professional art galleries in Japan where the quality standards, as you can imagine, are quite a bit higher than in the US generally). But we have never had a problem or been dissatisfied with CFS, so they must be good. They will help you pick an appropriate frame and give advice on framing. Once with an oil painting I was trying to save some $ and ignored Trish’s advice to matt and frame it larger. Big mistake. I have regretted not taking her advice every since.
Don’t know what Alec W’s problem was but since he is in North Carolina according to his id I can only wonder whether he posted the wrong CFS? Or if accurate then I think his experience was a «one off» unusual one. Besides, this is an art framing store, not for desk photos. Probably should have gotten a cheap frame from K-​Mart to begin with?

I see all these 5-​star reviews and perhaps my experience was just one of those things but .,
I took in a photograph to be matted and framed. I was told «one week.» I returned exactly a week later. It had not been started. Returned after another week only to find that the photo had not been trimmed although my instructions were clear and explicit.
On my third visit it had been adequately matted and framed. I would have expected that a photograph would have a desk stand — I had not asked but assumed that would be the norm. The frame was arranged only for wall mount. I decided not to return for a fourth time and accepted it, bought a cheap backing from a drug store and changed it out myself.

Good folks with fair prices, excellent workmanship and artistic sense.

Went in a couple years ago at Christmas time to buy a piece of art for my wife. They not only had the artwork I liked but did a great job framing it — perfect workmanship! They have an awesome selection of framing material on-​site and they take the time and have the knowledge and experience to make sure the framing, matting, etc will bring any art to life! After seeing how good they made this piece look, I would consider having they re-​frame some other art in our house. A local company that has been around for years that really takes pride in making anything you bring them look its best.

I have had them frame several pieces, and they are always patient and attentive to the selection process. They are very good at making the suggestions. Their prices are incredibly reasonable, I know this because I took another piece to a chain frame shop, and well, shame on me that I did not count on my ‘local’ to get the job done. Funny thing is that the piece that Corner Frame Shop had was completed way in advance and way cheaper. I am still waiting on the other piece. Believe me, if I could have canceled that job and brought it to the Corner Frame shop I would have. They deliver, are a local business and are very keen on the projects brought before them. They understand and respect that the pieces that are brought to them to be framed are of the greatest importance to their patrons. I will never go back to the chain again.
