I just moved to the area and was looking for a trustworthy mechanic that wouldn’t try to hustle me every time I came in. I saw the positive online reviews for Daniels and decided to give them a shot.
I couldn’t have been more impressed with the level of customer care and efficient service I received. I booked my appointment online and received a courtesy call to confirm my appointment. When I showed up, Frank greeted me with a smile and got my car right in. At no point did I ever feel pressured into services I didn’t need, but I was given conservative recommendations along with various options for future service. Chris did a thorough inspection of my car, then quickly changed my oil and got me on my way. I can honestly say I’ve never had a quicker oil change, nor felt more comfortable and at ease in a shop. To top it all off, Frank hooked me up with an online coupon for giving them a shot.
These guys are great, and I’m grateful to have found a trustworthy service center right around the corner from my house.

I’ve had a very pleasant experience today at Daniels. Frank was very courteous, honest, and professional individual who truly made my day! After my rear tire was repaired at another tire shop, my vehicle began to vibrate at the certain speed, which was so annoying. My BMW dealer quoted $ 300 for the wheel alignment. I thought it was over priced. I looked for the local tire shop at the Unilocal and found a 5 star review for Daniels which was left by another BMW owner who had a similar problem. After they worked on my vehicle, it ran perfectly as it should. With 4 tire balancing included, they only charged me a half of what BMW dealer quoted. Highly recommended shop!

Huge shout-​out to Mancini! If you come to Daniels, this is definitely the guy you want working on your car. He did all the work on my old car since 2011 and has done all the tire/​wheel/​suspension work on my new car since 2013! Came in today unexpectedly after finding a slow leak in my rear tire this morning. They had me taken care of and back on the road in 30 min! Really down to earth group of guys. I ran over a screw on my way home from work and I frantically checked Unilocal to find a shop nearby that would still be open since it was nearing the end of the business day. To my luck, Daniel’s Tire Service was the only (?) shop open till 5:30 that was in my immediate area. Everyone else seemed to be closing at 5:00. I called the shop at 4:50 to ask if I could bring my car in right away and Frank on the phone said it wouldn’t be a problem at all. Frank, who is a new manager at this shop, was a tremendous help with the needs of my car. I was due for new tires so I decided to replace all four and get it out of the way since I was already there. Frank helped me find a decent deal on a set of 4 brand new tires.
I think the best part of my experience here was overhearing other customers praise the business and say they had been coming to Daniel’s for years. It’s a comforting feeling to have when you choose a random tire shop on a whim. I will definitely be back for future car maintenance. Thanks Frank!

Frank took great care of us. Service, headlight restoration, replaced light… Did great work at a good price

Was at Midas next door getting an oil change and they pointed out that I needed new tires. Walked across the parking lot to check Daniel’s out. Frank offered me some Goodyear tires that seemed to be a better value than the Brand X tires Discount Tire quoted me. When I told him I wanted to compare prices at Costco, he went online with me and made me a good deal. Fast service. Very satisfied.

Don’t go anywhere else but here! Had a nail in my tire I needed to get patched up. I had made an appointment previously in the day, and as soon as I got out of my car, Frank came straight over to me to see what was going on! So nice to have people up on their feet ready to help! Extremely nice guy and got my car right in before I headed to work!!!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Such an awesome experience! Called ahead on my lunch and let them know I was in a hurry they had me in and out in 30 minutes! Prices were awesome! So happy I found this place! Will definitely be returning!

Got a simple oil change from Danny. Really awesome service. Barely had to wait without an appointment and got the best quality maintenance. This team goes above and beyond to accommodate customers in any way possible to provide the most positive experience. (Don’t we all dread our service appointments usually??) I didn’t feel like I was doing a chore or anything! Rodger runs a great shop, this is where I get anything my little green Mazda needs. Thanks Danny and Rodger. Pleasantly surprised with their quick turnaround and professional service. I had four new tires delivered to their location and they installed them in under an hour for a reasonable cost of about $ 18 each. Very simple straightforward transaction

I checked Unilocal to see about a local deal for an oil change and Daniel’s had the best price and great reviews. I realized they had already changed a tire for me at a very fair price. Regular oil change is $ 25 w/​o Unilocal coupon. with coupon the Oil change was $ 21.00 w tax and fast!
jiffy lube are nice guys but really pushing services for $ 39 or $ 29 w $ 10 coupon.
I also thought I needed a wheel alignment. The price was the same around town $ 89. At Daniel’s the alignment review was free! The same alignment check was $ 39 for at a mom and pop tire shop in Carlsbad. I didn’t need an alignment which made my day. I have one tire that is slightly larger than the others and why was why I was getting a pull. They could have told me I needed it and I would have paid so there honesty was greatly appreciated and refreshing. I’ve now worked with both front desk/​managers Sean and Ethan. They are equally great.
Do not go to Firestone in Carlsbad for alignment or tires. They will try to gouge you and I felt taken there.

Needed to have my brakes looked at and noticed a sign «free brake inspection» and couldn’t pass it up.
Upon entering the parking lot, i noticed only one car in the shops 4 available work stations, so figured I could be seen right away. I noticed staff in the work area, but no one in the office when I walked in. One technician was working under the hood of a car in the first station and three others employees were working on storing what appeared to be newly delivered tires. One was bouncing them to a middle man then he would bounce the tire to another. The third person would toss the tire to a landing area on a walkway above the main vehicle bays. This went on for a while as I waited for someone to help me. I eventually walked toward the open door and the technician working under the hood of the car called someone to the office.
I told the gentleman the problem that I was experiencing with my brakes. He recorded some information and took the car to the bay to be inspected. He came back about 30 minutes later saying that it was a problem only the dealer could work on.
I’m glad he didn’t try to upsell me on a handful of ideas of what the problem could have been. I’ve been to a coulpe different places that tried that and have even been suckered into their practices. Only concerns here are the lack of attention to the front desk when I arrived. Also, while I was waiting, another employee was blowing dirt and debris from a recent wind storm away from the garage with the air compressor, but wasn’t collecting anything. Just blowing it away into the driveway. Not sure if that would accomplish much.
Although I didn’t get any actual work done on the car, I do appreciate the free inspection and info to contact the dealer.

Very frustrated as I took a flat tire for repair and was charged $ 25. I’ve had 2 sets of tires installed here and just since this vehicle hadn’t had tires installed there they charged me for a simple flat fix. Disappointing, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere

I don’t even know how many years I’ve been coming to Daniels Tire Service, but it’s been a long time… I think the first time was when I had a «slow-​ish» leak in a tire due to a nail I picked up on a construction site. From then on, I came there for all my tire needs. They were convenient, fast, and reasonably priced. And, the staff (Ethan and Sean) were always pleasant and very helpful.
Then, it just made sense to get my oil changed there, too. They have several options available to suit your needs, all reasonably priced. I make appointments because it’s just more efficient for both them and me, but I’ve had the occasion where I just showed up and they always were able to work me in, especially if I just showed up with a little problem (I seem to run over a lot of nails…). I’m usually in and out of there in much less than an hour.
When the manufacturer’s warranty was up on my car, it made no sense to go back to the overpriced dealership. Sean and Ethan had already proven themselves to me many times, and now with some of the «big stuff» wearing out on my car, I feel really confident bringing it to them. They’re honest, explain things thoroughly, never try to sell me something I don’t need, and I feel I’m driving a safer car because of their care.
I’m totally serious. No one is holding a gun to my head to make me write this. These guys are just that good. I bet I’ll even get 200,000 miles out of my car because of them! That would be great, because I’m not ready for new car payments yet. Thanks, Ethan and Sean!

I’ve been coming here for a few years now. It seems hard to find a reputable place who puts the customer first and stands by their performance. I’ve bought tires here for both my vehicles as well as get my regular services done such as oil changes and the occasional repair.
Ethan is hands down a big reason I come here. No matter how stupid my questions are or how ridiculous my concerns are, Ethan genuinely takes the time to address concerns and explain in the simplest of terms what’s going on with my vehicle and why.
I’ve gone to other places and my wife and I are goodyear credit card holders. Most places see that and want to talk you into repairing something you don’t need, selling specials that are going on, and really pushing the fact that «you need this done now».
Daniels tire service and staff, led by Ethan, have never pushed something I didn’t need. They’re always honest and up front. I send friends and strangers there alike and tell them to specifically ask for Ethan and they will be taken care of.
No BS business. Ethical and professional. Fast and good. I’ve even asked some of the works there to recommend smog places and auto body repair places because I TRUST THEM AND THEIR OPINION.

Just wanted to update my review as it’s been a few years.
I continued to take both our cars into Daniels for both maintenance and repair until we moved to Vista 2 years ago. The drive just seemed too far and I thought I could find another reliable place closer to our new home. So for two years I floundered around, never finding a place that impressed me. Finally last week I decided to just suck it up and make the drive to Encinitas to have our Ford Explorer looked at.
Seriously. The service could not have been better. It was easy to make an appointment and easy to find a coupon for a discounted oil change. When it turned out I needed quite a bit of work done, Sean helped me sift through the recommended repairs/​maintenance and pare down the work to what was absolutely necessary right now, putting less pressing issues on hold for a few more months when we’ve decided whether or not to buy a new car. The repairs were done quickly and when I looked at the invoice it was clear that Sean was generous with the discounts — way beyond the oil change coupon I brought in.
One item that I had chosen not to fix was our AC — it was a comfort item and not actually necessary, so we decided to save the $ 200 and forego the repair. When I picked up my car, Sean informed me that they had chosen to fix it anyway («because they were already in there») completely free of charge. WHAT? It’s possible that they fixed it on accident and couldn’t charge me because I didn’t ask for it, but knowing them, I wouldn’t be shocked if they really did just fix it on the house. Most excellent.
Then, just as before, a few days later I got a call from Daniel’s thanking me for bringing my car in. Now that’s customer service.
Why would I ever go anywhere else again?
