Encinitas Bee Removal

James is a hardworking and fearless beekeeper. I am totally impressed with his need to safely and eco-​friendly removals and doesn’t just kill off the hive because it is the easy way. He goes out of his way to educate about bees too. I am forever grateful.

James was just wonderful. My husband had found a beehive in our tree in the backyard. We instantly go to Unilocal and luckily found James. Within an hour he was at our door. Very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave our whole family– including our 6 year old son– a lesson on bees. Instead of killing the bees– he captures them and takes them to a safe place. He allowed us to watch from a safe place and even showed us the captured bees. I would use James again and again! Thank you James!

James contacted me about 2 weeks ago, asking me to revise my review. Unfortunately, there was nothing I could do to revise my review because ALL the facts in my review are accurate.
There was no bidding war. James and Quinten had quoted almost identical prices. James was, in fact, slightly lower so if we had been shopping prices (every consumer’s right, by the way) then we would have just gone with James. We contacted them because we had two virtually identical quotes, wanting to tear open the exterior siding of our home, but from two different locations. We just wanted to know which one was CERTAIN they were attacking the bees from the right location.
James admitted to me in his email two weeks ago that he «didn’t want to have to deal with Quinten’s b.s.» and that was the reason he backed off and let Quinten run with his «we’re partners» story. Well, OK, if that’s how you choose to run your business then you need to expect to deal with the fall out. Wish you would have contacted us and let us know Quentin was misrepresenting the situation, but that was your choice and this is the result.
So yes, we have subsequently learned that Quentin lied and he and James are not partners. That is the only «fact» of my prior review that I can change. Both were still wrong about where the bees were. Nobody was denied access to the hive to determine where the bees were. It was just a wrong «guess» that could have been an enormously expensive repair for me if I had gone with either James or Quinten.
James, I’m sorry you are unhappy about this review, however, it is accurate as to the facts of our dealings with you and Quentin. I hope that, in future, you don’t just back down when you are competing against Quentin. It’s a natural part of being in business. You seem like a nice guy and very committed to the bee rescue «movement.» I wish you nothing but the best.

A very nice fellow who will take care of your bee issue and save the bees in the process. That’s a good thing, because we need the bees to help with fruit production, garden pollination, flowers and general plant pollination, so the local animals have better plants too! He knows a lot about bees, which are fascinating creatures. Maybe you’ll event want to keep your bees?
James is doing a lot of community outreach and education also, persuading the city and Hoa’s to not use dangerous chemicals like Neonicotinoids and Glyphosates (like round-​up).

James came out this morning and removed the hive that had taken up residence in our owl box. He just bagged the whole box and left to relocate it to a beekeepers property. He even offered to have us come and watch the process of reestablishing the hive in a proper bee box. He will clean up our owl box and return it with recommendations on how to keep this from reoccurring. He’s a very enthusiastic and interesting fellow with a love of bees. I can highly recommend him.

James and I are both in the SD Beekeeping Society. I have been to his bee-​yard where he keeps the bees after live removals and then finds homes for them with other beekeepers. He does care about the bees’ welfare and is a very likeable down-​to-​earth fellow.
