History
Established in 1993.
Rachel has been teaching pilates for over 20 years. She would like to invite you to immerse yourself in a complete and balanced fitness routine for your entire body at the Energy Within. Rachel and the instructors at Energy Within emphasize a strong pelvic core in all pilates training. You will gain enhanced muscular strength in your core, balance, increased joint mobility, and better posture, all while developing a long, lean, and toned physique.
Rachel keeps it personal. Attention to detail has helped clients achieve relief from common pain, tension and stress caused by the rigors of daily life. Energy Within has small classes of 4⁄5 students while teaching pilates athletic training, ensuring individual attention for your specific needs. Rachel focuses her full attention on each client to achieve their specific goals. Her clients come to increase muscle tone, improve athletic performance, manage pain, lose weight, or to recover from or prevent injury — and they succeed.
Meet the Business Owner
Rachel R.
Business Owner
My name is Rachel Robertson and I have owned and operated Energy Within for 20 years.
At age 35 I discovered Pilates. As a mother of three, I taught fitness classes and did bodywork as a massage therapist. I was uncomfortable in my body, never sitting or standing still for any length of time without moving or stretching. I had broken several bones, sliced a couple tendons in my foot and ended up with a twist in my pelvis.
Pilates totally changed my life. I have learned much about the body and movement through understanding how my own body works, heals, and stays healthy. Each person is unique, but the principles of movement remain the same. For every movement it’s important to understand the fundamentals: which muscles stabilize and which mobilize the bones.
I ensure that each and every client is taught to connect with their body and control their movements. I am an active and attentive teacher, observing and correcting everyone in my classes for proper, controlled movement.
