Thank you for everything you did to make our 6 year old birthday party as fun as it was (on short notice)! You all were amazing from start to finish and all of the kids had a wonderful time. I couldn’t get over how creative the activities were and was impressed by how well you kept kids of all ages entertained. Your team was phenomenal! Thank you!

We just had our sons 1^st birthday at JW Tumbles and it was a hit with all the parents and kids. Non stop laughing and smiling the whole time. We just found out that JW Tumbles does home birthday parties as well. Thanks Scott for making our sons 1^st birthday one to remember!

Absolutely the best 3 year old Birthday Party I’ve been invited to. JW Tumbles and its owner, host Scott made it a great time for our Son and all of his guests (parents too appeared to really enjoy seeing their children partake in all the activities). I can not imagine your child not having a really good time there especially if you’re doing a Birthday Party. We plan to go back many more times to let our son enjoy this type of activity. Treat your child to a place where they can have fun and new experiences.

Great place for kids! My 2 and 3 year old had a wonderful time in the siblings class.

My 2 ½ year old daughter absolutely loves this place, as well as Scott the instructor. He is lively, friendly and is wonderful with the kids even when they can all have a hard time sitting still and concentrating sometimes. My daughter tends to be that kid that is still learning the skill of waiting her turn and he is great at handling her. It’s fun to be involved with the kids class at this age. In the Twos class, they have a great mix of free play time to run around as well as structured activities where they learn a new «gymnastic-​type» activity (like swinging on the rings, somersaults, etc). I look forward to my daughter growing through the different class levels. I would highly recommend JW Tumbles to anyone!

Seeing JW Tumbles on Unilocal brought back so many fabulous memories. This children’s gym was a cornerstone of my daughter’s formative years and the center of so many relationships she still maintains today. Many friends with young children have accepted my referrals to JW Tumbles and are currently happy clients. Almost every single birthday party was held there, from age two upwards. Scott and crew were receptive to birthday party ideas that were sort of out of the box as my daughter got older. On one occasion they brought the Tumbles van to me and we did a GI Jane party at the park across the street. Every year it was something different and creative in addition to the regular weekly gym sessions that no one else in San Diego can really compare to. JW Tumbles is a treasure and Scott and family become a part of your child’s life forever.

The gym begins and ends with Scott. Period. He’s the owner /​operator and he’s there nearly ²⁴⁄₇. He cares. It’s that simple.
We’ve paid more and we’ve paid less for classes elsewhere, but we always come back. Why? Scott. Other instructors can have all the credentials they want, but if they don’t care about kids, understand kids, or are used to working with, pushing, and supporting kids… they’re not going to succeed like Scott does.
My oldest is 3 ½ and has been going to JW Tumbles for over 2 years. I truly believe the class has helped her in a lot more ways than just burning off energy. She gets to explore and test her physical limits. Pushing herself to climb higher and take risks always. And, with the different age groups, she can keep taking class as she advances.
My youngest is 1 ½ and she loves Scott too. How do I know? I see her imitate «Mister Scott» all the time at home. I know the stretch routines and some of the bits that he uses to entertain the toddlers and she knows them. Ask her to Stretch and she immediately starts to stretch. Than she says «twist» and starts the next exercise in the class warm up routine. She also constantly does a fake sneeze to get things to fall of her head, because that’s what «Mister Scott» does and it always makes her giggle.
Scott works with kids. Love kids. And has 4 of his own. You really can’t go wrong trusting his know how and love for children.
His new location is a little less convenient at first, but once you know where it is, you’ll appreciate the much better parking situation. The old strip mall location was easy to find, but that parking lot had tiny spaces and was always packed. This location is behind the Boys & Girls’ Club and above their Gym. You have to walk a little bit to it, but I much prefer it to the old location.
Plus, after class, there’s a nice, recently rebuilt, playground across from the parking lot. Tumbles, playground, picnic lunch, and then a drive home with two exhausted girls that fall asleep so easily. What’s not to love?

this is an awesome place for my daughter to learn new things and grow as a child. she gets exposed to different activities, learn how to play with other kids, practice her listening skills, etc… scott and his staff are really great in engaging the kids. my daughter was a little reserved to participate during her first day, but by end of the class, she was so excited that she got to be part of the fun.

It was fun to watch my daughter climb around at JW Tumbles. She loves the place. The staff are enthusiastic and friendly. You can see that is having tons of fun.
If you have a daughter like mine who is fearless and headstrong, this is a great place for her. I feel more at ease to take her to JW tumbles than to the park. At the park, Hannah would just jump off things which make my heart skip a beat. She just has no fear. At JW Tumbles, things are well padded for her protection.

JW Tumbles is an Awesome Gym ! I have taken my child there since he was 4 months old and he absolutely loves it. He is now 16 months old. Scott the coordinator/​owner is so fun, enthusiastic and interactive that he keeps my child’s attention no problem. I have referred this place to everyone i know and they thoroughly enjoy their experience there every time. I had my little boys 1 year old Birthday Party there and it was for sure a party people went home talking about. It was well organized, high energy and interactive. The staff was on top of everything, they had numerous activities for the children to play one on one and as a group. The kids especially like the interactive songs, trampoline and choo choo train. My baby started walking the day after his party. It is a safe, clean place for the children and a social meeting place for the parents. We can’t wait to go back !!! Thanks JW Tumbles for creating an amazing environment for our children. :)

J.W. Tumbles is a great place for children to grow & play! Not only is it a very clean & safe environment for children of all ages, it is fun because the staff makes it that way! EVERY time I have visited this place I am greeted with a friendly smile! I enjoy the variety of classes, music & playtime that are offered as much as the kids do! Having my child attend these classes has boosted her confidence & simple developmental skills, & she is only 2. The classes are very organized & never boring. Free time play is also a great addition to «joining» the gym. Offered at different times during the week for parents & their kids to «stop by», this time can be more chaotic, & less structured because it is exactly that, a FREE play for the children to explore themselves. The staff encourages free time play & a chance to chat with the doting parents. I appreciate all the staff does to entertain the children who sometime need a little coaxing or guidance. J.W. Tumbles in Encinitas is successful thanks to Mr. Scott, who is very passionate & enthusiastic about what he does! We look forward to seeing him every week at our class!

I don’t know where my original post went but we LOVE Tumbles! All 3 of my kids have been going to Tumbles for over 6 ½ years! We love it. Scott does all of their parties… we recommend it to everyone! I have been to just about every type of class offered through the years and we have never had one class that we didn’t love. Thank you JW Tumbles, Scott, and all of the staff over the years for all of the fun!

I’m not sure when you went in exactly… but during the later part of June they have kids camps. Not the normal parent participation or independent classes for the children.
I have been going to this J. W Tumbles location for 11 years now! I was a nanny and her parents had me bring their daughter… then when I had my own children I started bring them as well, starting at six months to current six years old. (I also have a 3 year old and 4 month old)
Mr. Scott and his staff are all wonderful, energetic people who love children and take pride in their jobs. The class is always structured, and very organized. There are times during each class that they allow the children to have «free play time.» The children love this time to play on their own.
It is very upbeat, and a positive children’s gym. Mr. Scott is very encouraging to all the children and makes the class so much fun! My kids are constantly talking about gym class and get very excited to go. We have also had J. W Tumbles come to our home to host a party for my 3 year old sons birthday and it was a huge hit! It was great!
I have several friends who bring their children their as well and we all would say the same thing about this Encinitas location.
Good job Mr. Scott and his staff! We love your gym and wouldn’t change a thing!
